23. Write a ~300 scene between them with no dialogue, only body language.

V stops short on the stairs up from Vik’s at a puzzling sight: Jackie and Misty, crouching on either side of the entrance to the elevator alcove. As she watches, Misty inches forward in a half-waddle, reaching out toward-- something? and clicking her tongue.

V slips up beside Jackie and drops to a crouch as well, gently touches him on the shoulder, mouth opening in a question. He looks at her, head inclined toward the elevator door and a finger to his lips.

Her eyes follow the direction his head indicates, and V sees-- a cat?! Her mouth drops open in surprise, as Misty slowly approaches it, uttering soft, encouraging sounds. 

The creature is bald,wrinkly all over, with enormous eyes and satellite ears, like a goblin from a fantasy BD. Certainly it’s nothing like the furry creatures that romped around looking for mittens in her childhood story books.

The cat-- of all things!! -- hunkers down, shoulders tensing. Jackis nudges V, silently waves two fingers to his right, and the pair shuffle sideways, blocking the exit back out into the alleyway. Just like setting up to catch a mark fleeing the scene.

Misty gets remarkably close, one inch at a time, and for a moment V thinks maybe it will sit still- but the cat darts forward at the last moment, shooting past Misty with surprising speed, right toward Jackie and V. 

Without thinking, V ducks behind Jackie and puts her hands between his legs, like a football player getting ready for the hike. Sure enough, when Jackie makes a grab for the feline, it goes between his legs, and right into V’s arms.

She adjusts, quick as a whip, to the scrambling animal, a firm grip on its hind quarters and shoulders, pulling the cat close into her body. Although it scrabbles and definitely draws some blood, V holds tight, thrumming in a way she hopes is soothing. Something must work, because in the space of a second, she feels its body relax, the claws retract from her skin.  What happens next surprises her-- the cat begins to make a very strange sound-- a rumbling sort of noise from its throat that vibrates its whole body. 

V looks up to the others, startled and not quite sure what to make of this. She caught it, and it seems--pleased?  She thinks the noise is good. The others seem equally bewildered but also in awe of the moment. Holding carefully to the animal with both arms, V manages to rise from her crouching position. Misty and Jackie do as well, and then approach, faces eager but movement cautious.

The cat doesn’t try to leap away, even as V begins to pet it’s shoulder blades. Seeing this, Jackie and Misty offer their hands, one at a time, and each is rewarded with a head-butt from the small creature, who lets out a mewling noise of what V assumes is appreciation. 

Their faces light up with near-childish wonder, and V is almost overcome with  a wave of intense affection. She  can’t resist the impulse to lean forward and pepper a kiss on both faces, the cat circled between them and seemingly content.

1) Mike Zeroh is at it again with his usual nonsense. This time Mara Jade edition.

2) Rumor that Kylo kills Rey in IX and feels sad about it. Reylos are raving about it feeling it is so romantic, once again proving that they absolutely give no shits about Rey.

3) Andy Serkis follows in Mark’s footsteps and trolls interviewer about Snoke’s possible return.

4) Speaking of Mark. According to him the security surrounding the script and it’s content is out of this world and exceeds even what it was for TLJ, which had the toughest security of any movie he’d ever worked on. And hearing him describe yeah it sounds pretty extreme. So I think we can safely say that absolutely none of the “leaks” so far have any kind of veracity except by someone getting lucky enough to make an accurate guess. Looks like JJ is intend on sitting heavily on everything until he feels ready to reveal it.
