Sericipterus is another Rhamphorhynchid, from the Shishugou Formation in Xinjiang, China. It is known from a crushed specimen, and lived about 160 million years ago, in the Oxfordian age of the Late Jurassic. It had a wingspan of 1.73 meters and it had a bony crest on it’s snout. It’s first teeth were straight but the rest were curved somewhat, indicating that it had a specific diet and possible niche partitioning with other pterosaurs in the region.
