THROYSIN !!!!!! i love them, your honor. the thought of thea- a recovering partygirl that takes everything she has for granted- falling in love with these two nobodies from the glades purposefully forgotten by society. like, i think part of the reason thea crashes so bad after the death of her father and "death" of oliver is because she subconsciously considered them untouchable. things like that aren't supposed to happen to people like her. after all, she's spoiled-rich. she's loved. she's just a little kid. but then she's down a dad and a brother, and she doesn't want to be a little kid anymore.

and then there's roy and sin, who never really got to be normal kids bc of how the glades function. they're too used to people they love dying, violence on their streets, sleeping in beds that aren't theirs, getting picked up by cops, doing next to anything to survive. roy picks up a life of theft and burglary. sin gets by because they tend to get into peoples' good graces, like how max stanton (rip) would let them stay at his place in star city, or sara in the clocktower. sin makes themself available; i don't think they do it necessarily on purpose, it's just what they do. i mean, sin's been an orphan around the same amount of time thea's been robert-less, all they know is that one day their dad never came home and sin makes the leap that he abandoned them bc he wishes they were never born. so sin makes themself as adaptable as possible. honestly, sin's got some lowkey queer-coding just by basis of that line and them choosing the name sin and also being played by bex taylor-klaus lmao

so thea coming to truly understand the way her world works by befriending these two, by spending more time in their glades, volunteering and even when she's taking care of verdant? it's just the perfect little opposites attract dynamic, with a side of sugar mama.

ANYWAYS SOME THROYSIN HEADCANONS TIME

after roy and thea leave star city, they give sin their place. i think there's a fic about this somewhere, if anyone wants to drop its title so i can add it here!

i just love throy's "shut up kiss" thea does to distract roy when he's bleeding out. i like to think throy did the same thing to sin when they got hurt from the mayor's attack in crucible.

polycule au-wise, t4t4t- sin's nonbinary, roy's a trans boy, thea's a trans girl. sin doesn't fade from their lives, but rather joins sara as a legend of tomorrow, and accidentally gains superpowers after time-traveling to the night of the particle accelerator explosion. jax, wally and frankie kane are also involved in their polycule

at first, sin doesn't want to accept charity from thea, but sin will sleep in thea's bed and inhale everything in her fridge and use up all her hot water. they have a wee bit of a fight when thea reasons that this is basically accepting charity, which makes sin argue that its more of a trade for thea getting to enjoy sin's company

sin is very good at reading people. they guess roy's with thea just by his clothes, they immediately know it's not sara playing the canary. i think, if roy and/or thea ever canonically did have the hots for them, they would have an inkling of it before roy and/or thea even realized throy had those feelings.

sin has a habit of getting nail polish stains on roy's prosthetic arm

they share roy's red hoodie so much and it smells kinda bad and it's getting all ratty but like it's theirs. it's theirs, y'know?

maybe people around them start to get the idea that they're all together bc of how often sin and roy start showing up in clean, expensive clothes and thea starts lounging around in old rags with holes in em

roy wants to be a good person that helps people so bad it makes him look stupid, that's canon, so i think he'd be a lil self-sacrifice-y in a polyamorous dynamic at first? like, not talking about feelings of jealousy or being uncomfortable. stumbling into polyamory can be weird, it's so different from traditional monogamy and it's all a learning curve, so i think roy would feel out of his depths. but he can be short-tempered and hot-headed, so things tend to boil over and spill out in the worse ways. luckily for him, though, sin is a fiercely independent person and thea is so loyal it's weird she's like a dog that's been saved from a fighting ring. it's really not like they're trying to leave him behind; he just can't help being on unfamiliar territory.

i just really love the idea of throysin sharing clothes. thea steals sin's leather jacket so sin steals roy's red hoodie so roy steals thea's new leather jacket that looks really familiar so thea steals roy's hoodie off sin so sin takes back their leather jacket. thea's never worn pants that weren't pre-ripped by design until sin leaves some at hers. roy accidentally ends up wearing a pair of thea's shorts that, unbeknownst to him, have hearts on the back pockets. suddenly there's bloodstains on all of thea's white button-ups. whenever either of them actually return something to thea, she keeps finding makeshift weapons that only a glader would use in the pockets. sin never really wore skirts until thea gave them some. roy and sin can't remember who actually owned this one black v-neck shirt first, it's just been passed between them so much at this point. thea smells like roy smells like sin smells like thea.

Sin smirks, stupidly. They haven’t taken their boots off, or their leather jacket, even when they were trying to teach Thea the quickest dinner they could whip up with what Thea has. Sin knows better than to leave evidence of themself. They point down at the stove with their black-polished fingertips. 

“That’s not the right pan,” they say.

“Maybe you’re a bad teacher,” Thea says.

Without another word, Sin flicks off the stove. “Sue me for tryin’ to get you self-sufficient.”

“You were hungry,” Thea reminds them. “Not me.”

Sin keeps laughing, but it feels so wrong in this place. Is it that anyone else making themselves known here erases who came before? Or is she afraid that the noise would somehow wake up those that came before, as if there was someone hiding behind the paintings in the halls? 

“You’re hungry, alright.” Sin sighs out, wistful, like they know Thea better than Thea knows herself. “You just never let yourself eat.” 

Thea wrinkles her nose. “I eat, I just get it delivered.”

“Yeah,” Sin says. “I’m not talking about food.” 

Thea bites her lip. Just like that, a chill runs down her spine. Her eyelids buzz, and she shakes her head, trying to turn away the phantom headache. 

“We’ll just— we’ll fucking eat after, okay?” Thea breathes. “We can eat after.” 

It doesn’t need to be said. Sin’s already moved the pan into the sink. They’re waiting for Thea, now, a shoulder leaned on the kitchen frame. They’ve got Thea’s hair tie between their teeth; a peace offering.

Thea makes sure she has her stake stuffed into her back pocket. Then she rips the hair tie from Sin’s mouth. 

SO the concept goes like this; thea gets into vamp hunting as a coping mechanism while she's recovering from drug addiction. she's basically astrosized from the general hunting community mainly due to her association with sin (they/them here), since the hunting community ain't big on homeless transexuals from the glades. it's made worse by the fact that sin is very open with their belief that vampires aren't evil by nature, but rather its the actions of certain vamps that are evil. roy's a freshly turned vampire on the run from warring vampish gangs. jax's been a vampire for longer than roy, but certainly not as long as anyone else, and he's the right-hand man of one of the vampire gang leaders. here, frankie kane is a glader, having wound up there after being kicked out of her foster home on her 18th birthday; local hunters intrepet her dissociative behavior as supernatural rather than mental and want her dead for her presumed vampish nature, like how people back in the day thought everyone with a disorder was possessed by demons or replaced by faeries. wally finds himself thrown into the general hunting community, forever caught in the shadow of his newly-discovered heroic hunter older siblings, so he's more than determined to end vampirekind for good-- and anyone that tries to protect it.

THAT'S HOW IT STARTS, ANYWAY. for now, that's pretty much all i've got down. i have a few tricks up my sleeve that i don't want to spoil with the general story and important side/supporting characters, of course, but that's how the throysin extended polycule vampire!au goes for now. please rao can someone come up with a good ship name for this ot6 i cooked up all by myself
