Gammahammer headcanons pt2

Thor talks in his sleep a lot. When Bruce has a nightmare or just can’t get to sleep, he often stays up listening to Thor’s conversations with himself. He’ll deny it, but Bruce’s heart skips a beat whenever Thor mentions his name.

Bruce lays on Thor's chest as he tells him tales of his battles on Asgard and his childish feuds with Loki.  

Bruce tends to get a little self conscious when it comes to his body. He said it disgusts him. Thor always says that he is talking utter nonsense and that he is beautiful. 

Thor has some weird fascination with Bruce’s glasses that he wears when he works. He steals them a lot and then complains about how blurry everything is.

Bruce enjoys going to Tony’s lab to work with him on projects (at least ones that aren’t murder bots) and Thor occasionally pays visits. It’s not a successful visit if Thor doesn’t break at least one piece of expensive machinery.

Thor collects Avengers memorabilia for absolutely no reason. Bruce gets frustrated with how much space it takes up, but he would never tell Thor to throw it out because he knows how happy it makes him. 

Bruce reads classic novels and murder mysteries to Thor.

Because they aren’t entirely prepared to be outed as a couple yet, Thor and Bruce tell interviewers that they have partners but claim that they are women. They use these moments in interviews to explain their issues with one another that day. For example, Bruce regularly lets America know how bad his partner is at doing the dishes, but ‘she’ is pretty so he can’t be annoyed at ‘her’ for long. They rewatch the interviews in the evening and have a laugh.

thor and bruce goes to the park

uhh this is the second part out of not sure how many. thor is taking bruce to the park and he is very excited

Thor giddly led Bruce down to the elevator.

“Wait here.” He pointes next to the elevator and then ran back to the kitchen. He grabbed a picnic basket and a blanket. He then went back to the elevator where Bruce stood. The doors opened and Thor ushered the smaller man inside. Bruce turned to his boyfriend, who’s smile was threating to stretch to his ears, and looked at the basket and blanket.

“A picnic?” Thor nodded.

“Yes! Is that okay? You like picnics right?” Thor began to ramble about the food and the picnic spot. Bruce shook his head and smiled. He reached up, hooking his arms behind Thor’s neck.

“Yes, Thor, it’s fine.” Thor grinned and place a quick kiss on his partners lips. The elevator doors opened and the Asgardian led Banner out of the tower. They then walked to a park and sat atop the highest hill. Thor laid out the blanket and placed the basket in the middle. The pair sat down and Bruce turned to look over the park. It was mid-autumn so the leaves had just started to turn different reds, yellows, and browns. A slight breeze drifted through the trees, pushing Banners hair off his forehead.

“The views perfect, eh?” Bruce turned to Thor and nodded. “I’ve been trying to find a god spot for a couple days and this one looks over the whole park.” Bruce could tell that Thor has worked hard on this picnic. The taller man was laying out the pairs lunch. He brought out fruit, wine, and sandwiches. The sandwiches were cleanly cut and slightly toasted. Banner bit into one and discovered it was bologna and cheese. He vaguely remembered Thor asking about his favourite sandwich a few days ago, but at the time he paid it no attention. The boyfriends shared their lunch, laughing and enjoying themselves. The Asgardian was glad to see his partner out of the tower and laughing again. He intended to make this Bruce’s happiest day for a while.

Gammahammer headcanons? Gammahammer headcanons.

There is no little spoon or big spoon. Thor takes up the whole bed and bruce sleeps on top of him.

Thor and Bruce are strangely obsessed with local marketplaces. Whenever they go abroad Bruce always points them out. Bruce buys things like pottery and small trinkets. Thor buys fruit. They both get their hair platted by local children (The kids always do Bruce’s quickly and move on to do Thor’s)

I think its a given that Nat taught Thor how to calm the hulk down when he and bruce started dating.

Bruce is homoromantic asexual and Thor is pansexual.

Thor could listen to Bruce talk about science for ages. He’s obsessed with how excited Bruce gets every time he’s asked about something.

Thor likes to make blanket forts. Bruce will often come home from work and find Thor sitting in one insisting that he joins him.

Bruce point blank refused to be left alone in the same room as Loki when Thor brought him to Asgard on holiday. Loki felt the same way.

They both have/have had depression and suffer from panic attacks a lot. Bruce prefers to be alone when he’s having a rough moment but Thor likes someone to be close. They eat chocolate and drink coffee after they’ve calmed down (usually in a blanket fort)

They babysit Clint’s younger kids sometimes when he and Laura want a night out. The house is in absolute shambles when they return (mostly due to Thor allowing Nathanial to use glitter on his drawings). Bruce often wonders why they keep getting asked to do it.

Bruce loves true crime documentaries and programmes. Thor watches them with him but almost always gets terrified that a serial killer is going to appear at their house.

Was Bruce is the lab for too long? Yes. Did this happen too often? Yes. Would it ever stop? No. But sometimes the only reason Bruce was in there, was so he didn’t have to face the world. So he didn’t have to watch TV and see the destruction the Other Guy had cause or the pain. Sometimes he stayed in there so he didn’t get pity from the other Avengers after he started breathing too hard, too fast. When he shut himself off, he shut himself off. He didn’t eat, he didn’t bathe, he didn’t shave. He always had the doors locked, only opening them when he sneaked out to use the bathroom down the hall. At first, Tony had JARVIS alert him to this and Tony would grab Bruce as he ran down the hall. Tony would try to convince Bruce to come back and hang out with the rest of the team but, Bruce would just mutter something about having work to do. And then he was gone. Eventually, Tony just let Bruce do his thing. This time was no different.

“Bruce, wait Bruce!” Bruce had already got up off the couch. He stumbled backwards, turned and ran. Thor ran after the smaller man. He was faster, but Bruce already had an advantage. Thor turned to open the lab door, but it had already been slammed shut.

“Banner, I’m sorry. I meant well.”

“Go away,” Came the soft reply from behind the door. “Just leave me alone.” Bruce choked on his last word, failing to stop the tears from tearing down his cheeks. Thor continues to try to get his boyfriend to open the door. Eventually, Tony tells him to get some rest.

“He’s not coming out, Thor.” The Asgardian eventually left the door, not before trying to coax Banner out once more. He sighed in defeat and trudged back to his room. On the other side of the door, Banner sat with his back against the wood. His face was still wet with tears, but he had stopped crying. He thought to himself about how long Thor had stood there. Nobody else had ever waited that long. They always left after the first hour. Thor had stood there for 5 hours. Bruce stood up and cracked the door open. He scurried out and towards Thor’s room. He knocked twice on his partners door and then let his hand rest on the door. He heard shuffling from inside the room and then the door opened. The blonde stood in just his pyjama bottom and socks. He looked down to see Bruce and grinned widely.

“Come in, come in!” Banner walked into the room.

“Look, Thor, I’m sorry for locking myself in the lab. It’s just-ugh,” Bruce looked at the ground and started rubbing his hands. “I’m sorry.” Thor frowned.

“Banner, do not be sorry. What I said hurt you, no matter if I meant it or not. I’m sorry.” Bruce looked up at his boyfriend and smiled softly. He gave him a hug, his arms not fully reaching around the bigger man. Thor returned the hug, happily. Bruce decided that after this, he would lock himself in the lab less.
