Tiger’s Quest pt.1

Ch. 1-5

I’ve really come to like Li as a character in this story. I feel he enhances everything else: Kelsey’s indecision and Ren’s perfection as a love interest. However, I kind of feel bad for him. As readers, we know that if they compete, Ren’s sure to come out the victor. I’m not trying to toot Ren’s horn or anything, but through Kelsey’s eyes, let’s be honest, there’s little to no competition. As much as I like Li, I’m not expecting this story arc to last too long. Though, it will definitely be interesting to read. I already want to push through the rest of the book. Li is also going to reinvigorate readers who enjoy Ren and Kelsey’s relationship. The more the relationship between both Ren and Li heats up, the more response the relationship between Ren and Kelsey will get. 

I will keep rooting for Li (while secretly rooting for Ren). This whole jealousy situation makes for exciting reactions from an already attractive Ren. It’s definitely interesting and satisfactory when a third party becomes involved in a relationship you ship. Especially when that relationship prevails in the end.

 ~‘TIGER’S CURSE’ SERIES~

I thought that since this is my first ever Tumblr post and review, that it was only appropriate to talk about one of the first series I have read (Since ‘The Twilight Saga’ I mean.) 

The ‘Tiger’s Curse’ series by Colleen Houck is magical. The story itself is just as beautiful as the covers, all of which will always be my favorite, and takes readers on a journey to places across the world, through other realms, and even back in time. It were those stunning blue eyes of Ren the tiger that initially brought my attention to this series, not realizing that I had already fallen in love with his character even before I began reading. I could go on and on about Ren, but you would have to read the series to really understand why he will always be at the top of my list for male leads. Oh and I should mention that Ren is not always in his tiger form (I love animals but not in that way…) he, along with his brother Kishan, were princes of a kingdom in India long ago. They were cursed by a dark wizard named Lokesh to live as tigers and to live as immortals, forced to watch everyone around them die over time. 

Kelsey, the main character, finds Ren the tiger at her new job in the circus over the summer. It turns out that she is the only one who can help Ren and his brother break the curse. 

The rest you will have to find out yourself. I would hate to give away anything in this brilliant series, for I want everyone to witness the magic themselves at its full capacity. And may I mention that the romance in this series is breathtaking!
