I’m actually ashamed to be a WWE fan. You can call me a weirdo if you want but I was close to tears hearing how depressed Jon was with everything he had to deal with, not only when he came back from injury but way back when The Shield first split. They truly had him doing some dumb shit and when he wanted to make changes, Vince turned him away every time and disrespected him. They tried to make him say a disgusting and dark line about Roman’s leukemia and I’m glad he put his foot down. It’s mind blowing to hear how exhausted the man was, trying to twist the scripts into something better, only for Vince to belittle him. His mental state took a hit and I’m glad he got the hell out of there before Vince sucked his passion for wrestling completely away. It makes his debut at Double or Nothing that much more special. He was happy doing what he wanted and was finally free, being who he wanted to be. If he lied to Vince, Triple H, and everyone else in charge and told them he wasn’t planning to sign elsewhere, then good for him because you can’t even compare that to the shit Vince put him through. He deserves the world and I’m ready to see him take over everything. 💙

In natuurgebied De Scheelhoek op het Zuid-Hollandse eiland Goeree-Overflakkee is het opvallende vogelobservatorium Tij geopend. RAU en RO&AD Architecten hebben gezamenlijk het ‘natuurkunstwerk’ parametrisch  en volledig  remontabel ontworpen.

Het landschappelijk ontworpen nest bestaat uit riet, kastanjehouten palen en zand. Het eivormige observatorium bestaat uit twee delen: het onderste deel, dat onder water kan komen te staan, is gemaakt van accoya en het bovenste deel is vervaardigd uit grenen. De afdekking bestaat uit lokaal geoogst riet en stopt vlak boven de hoogst mogelijke waterlijn. Tij is parametrisch ontworpen om een goede verhouding te krijgen tussen vorm, constructie, afmetingen en plaats voor kijkgaten, leggen de architecten uit. De constructie is een ‘Zollinger-constructie’, waarmee in hout grote overspanningen kunnen worden gemaakt met relatief kleine onderdelen. De ‘file-to-factory’ houten constructie is in Finland computergestuurd uitgefreesd, in circa 400 onderdelen met de boot aangeleverd en op locatie gemonteerd, vertellen RAU en RO&AD. Tij is geheel remontabel (op de hybride hout-betonvloer na). Door zijn remontabele en modulaire uitvoering en materialisering voldoet het observatorium aan de uitgangspunten voor een duurzaam bouwwerk met circulaire potentie. Alles is tijdelijk, zeggen de architecten, en ook het vogelobservatorium moet ooit zonder waardeverlies uit elkaar gehaald kunnen worden. “Dit alles om de effecten op het milieu en het ecosysteem op locatie minimaal te belasten”, aldus RO&AD en RAU, “nu en in de toekomst.”
