IM SOBBING. WTF. HOW DID WE GET MASKY AND HOODIE FROM THAT. EVERYTHING IS NOT FINE. I AM NOT OK. TIM OH MY WORD YOU POOR THING. WHAT WAS THAT.

Seriously though, I'm genuinely crying. After I finished it, I put on some newer (like from the past few months) creepypasta/marble hornets/slenderverse tiktok compilations and I just. oh my lord. I feel like I'm 9 again. It's visceral. These characters helped keep me alive during the darkest time of my life mentally. There are shows I watched when I was a kid that give me comfort now, but back then they were just shows. Creepypasta has been my oldest comfort fandom since I was 6 and didn't even understand the stories. I'm crying because for so long I genuinely believed that my longest held hyperfixation's fandom was completely dead. It wasn't until I joined Tumblr that I realized that wasn't the case, and now I've finally watched Marble Hornets and I feel that same visceral, sharp and painful comfort that I had felt experiencing this fandom as a 6-11 year old dealing with depression, crippling anxiety, and insomnia that kept me up for days. I remember dealing with insomnia that was so bad it caused me to hallucinate and has left me with derealization now. I remember one of the few memories from those years that hasn't been blurred to mush was my young and dumb ahh trying to summon slenderman, me staying up at night reading about these characters I didn't truly understand. Now I understand them and I feel an even bigger fondness for them despite now knowing they aren't real. Despite knowing that their characters have been so distorted and I love multiple versions of them. Despite knowing that there's barely even a real canon anymore. I'm not scared of Jeff the killer because I know his story and that he's fake, but even when I was I still found comfort in the thought of hugging him and loved reading his story. I love Toby because he was always my favorite and I loved him then because he understood what it was like to be different and to not feel human. I like Smile.JPG now but I remember when I would truly believe that Smile Dog's face was adorable despite the fact that it gave me nightmares. I love LJ because I like his story but I loved him back then because he was scary and silly. I liked Hoodie and Masky because of association then, and I feel comforted now watching MH blooper's of Tim's actor running around and yelling at horses. I love Nina because she's an icon but I loved her then because she was fandom as a character from my perspective. And there's so many more. Searching for Herobrine, reading about the russian sleep experiment, all that jazz. All that rambling to say... I'm very glad I watched it

Sarah sighs, rolling her eyes as she looks at Tim. She glances away, leaning on her back. Her head falls backwards as she closes her eyes. "I don't know, Tim… It just feels like I'm stuck in this town." She leans forward, curling on her knees in front of her. "I'm nearly twenty-one. If I don't leave soon, I don't think I ever will."

"So why don't you?" Tim asks, adjusting the glasses on his face. "Leave, that is."

She takes a deep breath. Why hasn't she left this town? "It feels like — it's sucking me here, making me unable to leave. I don't have any real connections here." She lets out a huff as she rests her cheek on her hand, looking out into the river. "When Brian left, I really thought it would be my chance. But I ended up staying, always saying next month."

The two sit in silence for a moment, eating the sandwiches Tim brought for the lunch. Sarah stands up, brushing any stray grains of sand off of her pants. Tim quirks an eyebrow at her. "You've convinced me. I'm gonna move on from this town, from Brian. I'm going to get my life together. Thanks, Tim!"

Sarah climbed up the rotting wooden steps that lead to the beach before Alex loudly yelled 'cut!'. Sarah's arms drop — she is not used to having to act yet, but oh well. "This was a really good take. Good job, guys! Lunch is on me today."

Ssth laughs, packing up the camera equipment as Tim stands. He quickly lights a smoke, holding it in his mouth as he picks up the sandy blanket and hastily folding up. Tim moves the cigarette to his fingers, "do we have a bag or anything to put this in? I don't want to get sand all over the trunk of your car."

"Oh, yeah, let me grab it," Alex takes the tape that Seth handed him quickly, before heading to his car. Sarah glances at Seth, sending him a quick wink and finger guns. He smiles and responds with a thumbs up.

"You did really well!" Seth smiles, tucking the camera under his arm as he breaks down the tripod. "Rehersing is making a big difference it seems!"

Sarah huffs, rolling her eyes as she crosses her arms. Playfully, she asks, "so, was I not good before?"

Seth's face blushes from embarrassment, stuttering, "N— No! No, that's not what I meant—"

"I know, doofus," Sarah snorts as she gently punches his shoulder. "C'mon. Give me the camera so we can catch some grub before Alex leaves us."

Masky is pretty indifferent with it tbh

Thinks it looks really nice when you do your hair!!

He likes to sit and watch you do your hair, knowing he would never be able to do the same if he were you

If you beg him long enough he might (prolly not tho) let you try to do something with his hair, but he will refuse to leave the house if you do

Jeff

Jeff is far from thrilled with it.

Yeah, he loves you, and maybe once in a while he thinks your hair is cool, but if you go anywhere near his hair with anything he will get a knife out for protection

His hair is the perfect length to do stuff with but unless you get restraints that won’t break, you’re not getting to do his hair.

He is definetly good at giving you reviews on your hair though. He’s brutally honest, so if something needs fixed he’ll say it

Toby

Ohhhh Toby is BEYOND excited when he finds out you do hair

Will volunteer right away for you to style his hair up all snazzy

Really enjoys getting to watch you work

He gets inspired by your styles so he tries to mimick them or come up with hairstyles to the best of his ability in order to impress you!! Sadly they don’t end up all that great most times, but he really does try
