spent a fun Saturday morning trying to replicate the party from Drew Haye’s Spells, Swords, and Stealth book series in HeroForge. (It needs more fan art!)
NEW EPISODE FINALLY OUT
You may have guessed by the use of my little pngtuber form that I'm not interested in showing my actual face on the internet at this point but funnily enough there exists a gif that portrays an eerily similar moment to when I hit the post button on this one.
Despite my day job, illness and multiple software issues I have a working and moderately entertaining video introducing a new trope.
Recovering Martyrs.
You know those characters who generally want other people to have good things and are willing to die to help them get them because acts of service feel like the only way they as a person could ever be worthy of having nice things, receiving love, or upholding a mantle?
You know how much stronger they become when they realise that they are intrinsically as worthy of the same care and respect they have been giving everyone else, and so start enforcing some boundaries?
That's a recovering martyr, babey!
This video briefly explains the trope and then goes all in on describing a character that fits this archetype to a tee. Timuscor from the Spells Swords and Stealth series by Drew Hayes. Hope you have fun watching. If you do lemme know.
