Is it too late for a miracle?

I used the prompt: Wish 1: Roman getting the love an appreciation he deserves <3, especially if itâs a wing AU or if he has wings of some kind (Iâm a sucker for birds what can I say)
Well⌠I kind of turned into angst at the end because I wanted it to have an open ending, but if any of you wants it I can continue it!

Itâs been three years since Logan and Virgil graduated from college, three years saving money to buy their own house instead of renting the same apartment they've had since college. And the day finally came.
Logan went to his father's house for a few days to pick up the rest of his stuff, while Virgil finished packing at their apartment. He decided to go to his mothersâ house before meeting Logan at the new house to borrow their tool box in case there was something they needed to repair.
Now however, he was stuck at the dinner table eating plate after plate of whatever his mom gave him.
âCome on mi niĂąo. I really need to tell Logan to feed you better, lookmat how skinny you are!â
Virgil let out a sigh, âwhen did you say ma was going to come back?â
His mom shook her head, âno, no, no. You wonât get out of this house until I make sure you eat more.â
âMoooom, Logan is waiting for me!â Virgilâs eyes lit up as an idea came to his mind, âyou know what, why donât you pack some food up so we have something to eat at the new house?â
That seemed to do the trick with her. âOh you are absolutely right! But you need to go grocery shopping soon!â She took the half eaten plate of food back to the kitchen.
Finally, he could just take his stuff and go. Virgil stood up âIâm going to the attic for your toolbox while youâre at it!â
His mom poked her head out of the kitchen âWhy donât you go look through your old baby stuff? They may come in handy eventually,â his mom smirked and walked back inside.
Virgil rolled his eyes, ânot subtle at all mom!â he sighed. It wouldnât be that bad of an idea to move some of those stuff anyways, he just wasn't ready for what that might imply. Nop, he was here for the tool set and nothing else.
He went upstairs and turned on the lights of the attic. Man, when was the last time someone cleaned up here? Virgil made his way through the piles of boxes and holiday decorations, reading each label he could find.
Until one made him stop, his baby stuff.
Did he want to open that box? Logan and him werenât even married yet, and he was thinking about children?! Virgil definitely blamed his mom for sticking that idea into his mind.
Virgil groaned and picked up the box. He left it on the ground so it would be easier to look at its contents and opened it.
He couldnât help but smile softly at those old stuff, they were mostly toys and clothes he refused to get rid of at the time. Virgil never understood why his moms allowed him to be a hoarder but it really felt nice to think about those times.
Sure, Virgil wouldn't change his life with Logan for anything, but that made looking back even better.
It took him a long time to get out of his comfort zone and actually talk to people, even as a kid. Virgil preferred to sit on a corner at recess and color or read instead of play with the other kids.
And then, there it was, his all time favorite book. Virgil chuckled a bit at the sigh, that thing was so old and still he remembered every word to it.
He picked it up and brushed off the dust on the cover. It was a pretty big book considering at what age he used to read it, even teachers were amazed when he pulled it out.
Tales of the skies. A book narrating the adventures of Roman, a guy with wings. Yeah, it wasn't that impressive or anything but the stories kept Virgil entre for hours.
Oh the fun times he would have daydreaming with it. Imagining how fun it would be to have wings and fly freely just like Roman, and he may or may not have been his gay awakening but Virgil was definitely not ready to unpack all that.
Virgil opened the book and flipped through the pages, stopping to look at the amazing artwork. It was definitely one of the things he liked the most about this book. Each image looked like they were hand drawn and had so many details. Perhaps this book started his love for art.
Suddenly, Virgil snapped back to reality. The tools, thatâs why he was here.
He closed the book and left it in his backpack without thinking too much about it, and kept looking for the tools. It didnât take long for Virgil to find them.
He went back downstairs to pack the several containers full of food his mom prepared before getting out of the house.
The drive home went just as usual, except Virgil had to keep making sure none of the food spilled on the seat, but normal nonetheless.
Virgil parked in front of the new house and saw Logan waiting outside for him, a smile instantly forming on their lips as they saw each other.
âIt's good to see you after four days.â Logan left his bag by the door and rushed to hug his boyfriend.
Virgil hugged back and kissed his cheek, âI missed you too. Never leave me like that again.â
Logan broke the hug and rolled his eyes, âI wonât. But Iâm quite certain youâre more than able to take care of yourself, and survive without me.â
âThen Iâm sorry to break it to you, but you're in the wrong.â
Logan chuckled, he wasn't the best at showing or expressing his emotions but all this time with Virgil certainty helped him. âYou know I won't accept Iâm wrong, but Iâll choose to believe you starlight.â
Virgil blushed, he would never get used to those nicknames Logan brought up out of nowhere. âThank you,â he took his hand and intertwined their fingers. âReady to see our new home?â
âOnly if you're ready,â Logan smiled at Virgil and nodded.
Virgil nodded back and took his new key out of his pocket, raised his hand towards the doorknob and got the key in. He took a deep breath and opened the door.
Logan was the first to step in, pulling Virgil with him. The place was empty since the bus with their stuff was still parked outside, and the house only came with a few furniture pieces.
Virgil looked around as he stayed close to Logan. This was it. This was their house, their home. âWe did it,â he looked back at his boyfriend with a huge smile. âWe finally did it!â
Logan smiled back and nodded, âwe did.â He would have said more, but even he didnât have the vocabulary to describe what he was feeling. Years of hard work and saving money for this finally became a reality. The only thing Lohan could do was hold Virgil by the waist and spin him up in the air.
Virgil yelped in surprise at the sudden action. He stared at Loganâs face with a confused expression and dark blush, but that quickly faded away as he started giggling. They were both very happy and he knew it.
Logan let his boyfriend down and they shared a kiss before letting the people from the moving company in to help them.
It was a long day for all of them; moving furniture around, opening boxes, taking stuff out. There was still a lot of stuff to unpack and find a place for but they were exhausted, that was definitely tomorrowâs work.
Virgil finished unwrapping the couch and just fell on it as he let out a sigh, âthere, this is all I need.â
Logan sat on the ground next to him, ânot even our bed? Iâm sure it is way more comfortable than the couch.â He smiled softly and brushed a strand of hair out of Virgilâs face, âplus, thereâs enough space for both of us to cuddle.â
âThat does sound way better,â Virgil chuckled and kissed Loganâs hand. âBut I really donât have any energy left to set it up.â
Logan nodded, âI figured you wouldnât. I can go and do that while you rest if youâd like.â
âYou are the best boyfriend ever,â Virgil smiled and nodded.
âThatâs because you canât date yourself,â Logan left a soft kiss on Virgilâs forehead and stood up. âWe can have some of your momâs leftovers for dinner.â
Virgil laughed and covered his face. Logan had been teasing him about how he already filled the fridge with that food, âit was the only way for her to let me go!â
Logan chuckled, âsure. At least we donât have to cook today.â He walked away to go and start with the bed.
Virgil scoffed and rolled his eyes, damn he really loved that man.
It only took a couple of minutes for Virgil to get bored. Sure he was tired but he wasnât sleepy, and the tv and internet would be installed throughout the week so he had nothing else to do in the meantime.
He was seriously considering going to help Logan when his backpack fell off the coffee table. Huh, that was weird. Virgil sat up and picked it up, he didnât remember putting something that could move inside.
As he looked through his stuff, Virgil spotted the book. Oh right he brought this from his mothersâ house, well it wouldnât hurt to read it again.
Virgil opened the book and turned the first few pages to get to chapter one. But instead he found several blank pages where the story should be, yeah that wasnât weird at all.
He blinked and closed the book, was he too tired he was seeing things already? Virgil shook his head, trying to bring himself back into reality so he could try to read again.
He reopened the book and nothing changed, the pages were still blank. Virgil flipped through the pages trying to find something, the only parts of the book that were intact were Romanâs portraits.
Virgil stopped at one of the drawings trying to figure out what was going on. It wasn't like he was extremely boring since his mind was not in the clearest mood and wasn't processing this correctly.
Until the page started to glow. Okay, this was definitely not normal.
A light shone through the lines of the drawing and became brighter and brighter with each second. Virgil dropped the book as it started shaking too.
Yeah no, time to freak out. The only thing Virgil could do was stare at it in shock. He didnât even scream or called for Logan or anything of the sort, he was completely paralyzed.
The book started shaking a lot more, enough to flip itself upside down, and then it stopped. There was no light, no movement, just the book opened and facing down.
Thatâs when Virgil unfroze, he had to do something about it now didnât he? He took a deep breath and moved closer to the book. Virgil reached down and picked it up.
And if he wasnât panicking before, he definitely was now.
There was a small winged person under the book, a specific person, Roman.
Roman looked as confused as Virgil was, but something must have been blocking his vision since he didnât notice the gigantic human in front of him.
Virgil watched as Roman rubbed his eyes and blinked, trying to gain his sight back. He looked all the way up to Virgil and his face immediately changed from confusion, to fear. Roman opened his mouth to scream and the only thing Virgil thought of doing was placing the book back on top of him.
Shit shit shit. What the actual fuck was going on? Virgil had to keep his hands over the book since the tiny hero kept trying to get out. Romanâs little voice wasnât loud enough for him to understand what he was saying but he really sounded mad.
How was this even possible? Virgil's favorite character from his favorite childhood book was standing right there in front of him! Was he supposed to be so small? He remembered Roman being normal sized in the book.
Virgil's thoughts were interrupted by the small Romanâs screams. Oh right, he should probably try to calm him down. Virgil took a deep breath and lifted the book.
â-ou giant monster!â Roman was in the middle of screaming when he was âfreed.â
Virgil acted instinctively and wrapped his hand around Roman, being careful with his wings and covering his mouth with his thumb. âShhh⌠okay, I know this is weird for both of us but I promise I won't hurt you. Iâm going to uncover your mouth if you promise not to sc-â
Roman interrupted him by biting his finger.
âReally?â Virgil rolled his eyes, âIâm trying to reason with you.â
Roman huffed and his wings puffed, âI have no reason to trust you. Now let me go so I can figure out where I am and how to get home!â He started wiggling on Virgilâs grip.
âI canât have you running or flying around the house just like that!â Virgil took a deep breath and reminded himself to keep his voice low. âYouâre going to freak my boyfriend out.â
âNot my problem.â Roman glared at Virgil, âcan I go now?â
Virgil sighed âno, you and I are going to have a talk.â He stood up and picked up the book as he looked around the house, they needed a private space. The kitchen had an open design so that wouldnât work, so the bathroom it was.
Virgil took the small and angry Roman to the bathroom, closing the door behind him. âLook, I just want to talk. Itâs not like I intend to keep you here or anything. I just opened the book, you got out of it, and it feels like I should be panicking but my brain is too tired for that. So we can work together and figure out how to get you back in the story and Lo never has to find out about this!â
Roman just stared at him, âwoah this really makes you nervous. I donât think Iâve heard someone talk that fast before.â
Right, he needed to be calm. Virgil took a deep breath and opened his palm so Roman could sit on it âI mean, not every day your favorite character from your favorite book comes to life.â
Roman flapped his wings, Virgil had been careful with them but they were still treated harshly. He raised an eyebrow âwhat book? What are you talking about?â
Virgil blinked, âyouâre not aware youâre a fictional character are you?â
Roman snorted, âme? What aspect of all this makes you think I donât exist?â He gestured to himself and opened his wings to show them off.
âEverything? Youâre barely four inches tall, your clothes look like you just came back from a role playing session, and you have literal wings.â
Roman made an offended noise. âFirst of all,â he stood up on Virgilâs hand, âyouâre the giant one here. Second, my clothes are not⌠whatever you said they were. And, my wings are the most flawless in all of Flightwood!â
Virgil nodded, âI know. That's what your story is all about, but Flightwoog isn't even a real place here.â He sighed, âI didn't think I would have to explain it to you, and this is going to be really confusing at first but Iâm telling you the truth, Roman.â
âHow do you know my name?â Roman crossed his arms.
âBecause I read about you. I know pretty much everything that was written in the book, if I remember correctly that is,â Virgil shrugged.
Roman hummed as he thought for a bit. âFine, I mean if thereâs a book about me I want to see it.â
Virgil bit his lip, âweeell, we may have a problem with that.â He left Roman next to the sink and opened the book to show him the blank pages. âThe words just erased themselves before you appeared,â Virgil mentioned as he flipped through the book. âThe drawings seem to still be intact though.â
Roman flew over to sit on Virgil's shoulder so he could take a better look at the book. âWoah, is that me?â
Virgil smiled a bit and nodded. âYep, the illustrations are very detailed. I knew exactly who you were when I saw your face.â
Roman chuckled, âwell whoever drew this definitely caught my best angle.â
âSure,â Virgil said sarcastically. He blinked as an idea popped into his mind, âthat's it! We can find whoever wrote the book and hope they have some sort of answer.â
Roman raised an eyebrow, âand how are we going to do that if there's no words in the book?â
Virgil closed it and looked over at Roman, âI need to introduce you to the internet.â
âHow about you introduce yourself first? I still don't trust you but it looks like you're my only way home.â
âOh right.â Virgil held his hand in front of Roman and stuck his finger out, âmy name is Virgil.â
Roman took the finger and shook it, âI can't say it's nice to meet you, but thank you.â
âVirgil? Do you want me to reheat your momâs food?â Logan called from the outside.
âUh yes please! Iâll be there in a minute!â Virgil scooped Roman out of his shoulder. âOne more thing, we can't have Logan finding out about this. He has made some improvements on interacting with others but he would probably try to study you or something.â
Roman just stared at Virgil, âand that is not scary at all or anything.â
Virgil shrugged, âsorry. That means we have to keep you hidden somewhere.â
âYey, you're going to lock me out like a pet,â Roman asked sarcastically. âWhy did I have to trust you again?â
âIt won't be that bad, just until we can talk to the author.â Virgil flushed the toilet so Logan would hear it and opened the bathroom door. He looked around to make sure the coast was clear and started to walk to their room.
Logan stopped him from afar. âStarlight, can you go and grab my phone charger from the room please.â
Virgil didn't turn around and just nodded, âsure love.â He kept walking away.
Roman snickered, âstarlight?â
âShut up, it's a cute nickname ok?â Virgil got to their room, surprised Logan was able to assemble the bed and bedside tables already.
Roman shrugged, âwhatever makes you feel better. I just think it's cheesy.â
Virgil looked around the room, âoh yeah? What would you call your partner then?â Their best option to keep Roman hidden was a box, luckily they had plenty of those around.â
âSomething a lot more personal. I canât just think of one when I donât know the person.â
âFor your information, Logan and I met in astrology class. Starlight sounds quite personal to me.â Virgil dragged one of the boxes with his clothes closer to the bed.
Roman hummed, that did sound pretty cute. âI'll take it back then.â
Virgil chuckled a bit, âthank you.â He opened the box and left Roman inside, âand Iâm sorry because I know you donât like small places.â
âW-wait youâre leaving me here?â Roman stood up and looked around, âit's way too cramped, I-Iâm not sure about this.â
âI know I know, but itâs just for tonight. Iâll look for something bigger tomorrow.â Virgil closed the box without another word.
Roman tried to push the lid to open the box again, âVirgil please! You can't leave me here!â He started banging one of the sides of the box as he cried out for the human.
Virgil did feel bad, a lot. He knew he would be worrying about Roman all dinner, but he didn't want Logan to worry if he took any longer. âIâll be back after dinner to take you out,â he grabbed Logan's charger and got out of the room.
Roman kept screaming, even if he knew Virgil wasn't there to listen. He needed to get out, the box already felt like it was shrinking and closing up around him.
Virgil took a deep breath as he walked to the dining room. Everything would be fine, he just had to eat quickly and be back before Roman would even notice.
âI got yourâŚâ Virgil stopped as he went in. Well, one more surprise to the list today, â... charger.â
Logan always wore formal clothes, but he managed to look even more elegant somehow. Their new table was decorated with what looked like thousands of candles. It really made the environment a lot more romantic.
Logan had a wide smile on his face, âsurprise.â
Virgil was stunned, Logan had never made something like this. âY-you could have told me something so I could dress up.â
Logan chuckled, âthen it wouldnât have been a surprise.â He walked over to his boyfriend and took his hand to kiss it. âBesides, it's not like you don't look lovely already.â
Virgil blushed and let out a small snicker, âliar. I havenât even taken a shower today.â
âYou wonât just take the compliment right?â
âYou know me too well,â Virgil smiled and kissed Loganâs cheek.
Logan smiled back, âwe can take a shower after dinner. Now let's eat or youâll reheat your food if it gets cold.â He walked over to a chair and pulled it out so Virgil could sit.
Virgil smiled, âthank you.â He sat down and looked down at his plate, it looked like a brand new meal, not like leftovers, âyou really outdid yourself.â
Logan blushed a bit as he sat down, âI wanted to do something special for the first night at our house.â He picked up a glass already full with champagne and held it up.
Virgil did the same thing and clinked their glasses.
âFor this new chapter in our lives my dear.â Logan smiled and drank some before putting the glass down.
Virgil smiled at his boyfriend. âYeah, for this new chapter.â He spoke a lot softer and drank some champagne as well. âChapterâ was an interesting word to use considering the circumstances.
The rest of dinner went normally. Logan and Virgil were catching up from those few days they were apart, distracting Virgil enough from the Roman situation. There wasnât any food left on their plates and Virgil was about to go when Logan grabbed his hand.
âBefore we go to bed⌠There's something I want to ask you.â Logan rubbed the back of Virgilâs hand with his thumb.
That took Virgil by surprise, especially because Logan looked so nervous. He intertwined their fingers, âwhat is it?â
Logan smiled softly and let go of his boyfriendâs hand as he stood up. âUsually I would have waited a long time to make sure everything was in the correct place at the correct moment, but living with you all these years has taught me to be a lot more spontaneous and not let us overthink too much.â
Virgilâs eyes went wide as Logan kneeled in front of him.
âWeâve been together long enough for me to know youâre the one I want to spend the rest of my life with.â Logan got a small black box from under the tablecloth, âVirgil Sanders. Would you make me the happiest man in the world and be my-â
Logan was interrupted by a loud thud coming from their bedroom, followed by several other sounds. As if someone was roaming through their stuff.
Virgil looked back at the hallway. Shit, how did Roman get out of the box? And what was he doing?
Logan stood up, not exactly happy his proposal was ruined. âStay here,â he left the box at the table and went to look for whatever that was. Luckily the concern overflowed any other emotion right now.
âW-wait!â Virgil stood up, he looked over at the table and hesitated for a bit. He knew what was in that box, he knew what Logan was doing and he felt horrible for ruining it. He took a deep breath and went after Logan.
Unfortunately for Virgil, he wasnât able to catch up and Logan was already opening the door. He arrived just in time to look inside the room with Logan.
A now normal sized Roman stood in the room, his wings awkwardly placed so he wouldn't bump any other box. Some clothes were on the floor along with the pieces of the broken box he was in. âI uh⌠surprise?â
Okaaay, that was enough surprises for one day. Virgil turned to Logan as he tried to read the expression on his face, âI can explain. Well no I can't since we don't really understand what's going on but uh⌠h-he won't hurt us or anything.â
Logan looked at Virgil and grabbed his hand to pull him away from the door as he closed it. âYou knew that was here?â
âHe, his name is Roman and yes I let him stay. It's complicated but somehow he got out of his book.â Virgil tried to explain.
âHis book? What book?â
âI brought my childhood book when I went to my momsâ and I just wanted to read it and then he appeared, but he was uh,â Virgil used his hands to show Romanâs previous size to Logan, âsmaller.â
Logan took a deep breath, âwhy didn't you tell me?â
Virgil nodded a bit, âI know I should have but how was I going to explain this to you? We were hoping to find a way to get him back before you noticed. I wasn't expecting him to grow.â
Logan placed his hands on Virgil's shoulders. âLook, Iâm not mad or anything but if something⌠weird like this happens you need to tell me. Weâre together in this aren't we?â
âWe are!â Virgil didn't want this situation to get in the way of Loganâs proposal. He placed his hands on top of Loganâs, âwe are and Iâm sorry. We were both freaked out and I didnât know what to do. Just please don't interrogate him or anything like that, Romanâs just as confused as we are.â
Logan fell silent for a bit. âVirge, you thought I was going to study him?â
âNoâŚâ Virgil sighed, âokay yes. But just because I know how curious this would have made you and Roman was having a hard time trusting me. I couldn't just give him to you to dissect him.â
Logan took his hands away from Virgil, âis that really how you think about me? You think I would experiment on him as if he isn't at least somewhat human?â
Virgil froze, ât-that's not what I meant Lo. I just didnât know how you would react! I didn-â
Roman opened the door and poked his head out. âUh, sorry to interrupt but do you have a bigger room? One with hopefully less stuff? I don't want to keep destroying thingsâŚâ
Virgil looked up at Roman. Oh fuck he was hot, those illustrations didn't make him justice.
Logan glanced between Roman and his boyfriend. He frowned, âmost rooms are empty. Iâm sure Virgil can accommodate you on one.â
Virgil looked back at Logan and just nodded a bit. This night wasn't going like any of them expected. âWe should have an inflatable mattress or something.â He made a sign for Roman to follow him.
Roman noticed the awkwardness between them but didn't dare to say anything.
Logan watched them as they walked to another room and sighed. This night was supposed to be special and now it was ruined. He went into their room to pick up everything Roman pushed to the ground.
Roman walked behind Virgil to another room. âSo⌠Iâm guessing that was your boyfriend?â
Virgil nodded, âand he was going to be my fiancĂŠ just a moment ago. I hope this doesn't make him doubt.â
Roman stopped, âd-did I ruin the proposal? Oh my Iâm so sorry I donât, I mean I didn't... I-I could go talk to him!â He turned around.
âNo no no no noâ Virgil grabbed Roman's arm, âyouâve done enough already. Logan just needs some time alone.â
Roman glanced at Virgil. âIâm⌠really sorry, you wouldn't be in this situation if it wasn't for me.â
Virgil sighed, âI guessed it's not entirely your fault. If I had told him about you he wouldn't have tried to propose tonight.â He looked down.
âHey,â Roman cupped Virgil's cheek and made him look up at him. âMaybe heâs mad at you, maybe he's mad at me, but he was going to propose for a reason. I don't think this will make him not want to marry you.â
Virgil really felt like he needed to cry. Sure they didn't exactly have a huge fight, but he knew how much Logan struggled with lies and trust issues, he should have known better. âLet's just get you set up and Iâll go back to hi-â Virgil huffed as he was pulled into a tight hug.
Roman kept Virgil close to him. âIâm sure itâll be fine, but it's okay if you feel nervous about it.â
Virgil let himself relax against Roman and nodded a bit, âI know. You really don't have to do this, you know? It's not really your problem.â
âCome on, Iâve caused you enough trouble for today. It's the least I can do.â Roman broke the hug and smiled down at Virgil.
âThank you, but seriously we need to get you set up.â Virgil kept walking towards the unused room, trying to ignore how flustered he felt by the hug.
It took a while for them to find the inflatable mattress and some extra sheets, but Roman was ready to spend the night and the room was wide enough for him to not panic.
Virgil decided to pick up the stuff from dinner as Romna rested, and to give Logan some more time alone. He took the little black box and stared at it for a while. Logan should be the one to open it for him to see the ring⌠Virgil took a deep breath and walked back to their room.
Logan had already taken a shower and was sitting on the bed with a towel around his shoulders.
Virgil knocked on the door, âcan I come in?â He asked with a soft voice.
Logan looked over at the door, âyou can.â
Virgil walked inside, closing the door behind him. He walked slowly to the bed and sat down next to Logan, then he tried to hand him the box.
âAh, that.â Logan didnât take it and looked at Virgil instead, âperhaps it was a bit rushed.â
Virgil sighed and took Loganâs hand, âit wasnât.â He placed the box on it and closed his fingers around it. âIâm really sorry about earlier, I should have told you something.â
Logan nodded, âyou should have but, I get it. Itâs not a common or easy situation, but you donât have to say anything about the proposal if you donât want to.â
âBut I want to.â Virgil cupped Loganâs cheek, âI love you. Youâre the best thing that has happened to me and I canât imagine my life without you. Moving was already scary enough, and âhusbandâ is just another fancy title to let everyone know youâre mine.â
Logan snorted, âwhat a way to see it. Sounds like you donât want to marry me then.â
Virgil groaned and chuckled, âthatâs not what I meant and you know it.â He elbowed Logan and pulled him for a short kiss.
Logan kissed back. âI know, but I think itâs fair for me to tease you considering the circumstances.â
âOk fine.â Virgil shrugged, âitâs fair. As long as this doesnât make you regret your decision.â
Logan looked down at the ring and considered it for a bit. Why would he regret it? This was just a miscommunication issue, sure it was something he struggled with but Virgil already felt quite guilty. âIt doesnât.â Logan took the box and kneeled in front of Virgil.
âLetâs try this again. I love you and I want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I know thatâs going to come with a lot of arguments but that wonât make me love you any less. Virgil Sanders.â Logan opened the box, allowing Virgil to finally see the ring. It was made out of a black metal decorated with dark blue gems, and it had a purple gem in the middle. âWould you marry me?â
Virgil smiled widely, god he was really crying now. He nodded rapidly, âYes, of course I will.â
Logan put the ring on Virgilâs finger and pulled him into a deep kiss.
They were so busy loving each other that they didnât notice the partially open door, and Roman watching them from the outside.
One of his tears fell on a piece of paper that was already crumbled up, but the drawing on it still clearly showed Loganâs face. Of course he didnât want to ruin their proposal earlier, he didnât even know Logan was the guy he was looking for. But he knew now that there was no way he could be his soulmate, not with the way he looked at Virgil. Well, he definitely got scammed by that witch and was now trapped here, forced to be reminded of that love he so desperately needs.
