A Shift In Perspective
Summary: Atticus and Quinn have been best friends for as long as either of them can remember. They grew up together, they have an apartment together, they started a band together, and after an incredibly brief encounter with members of a roaming girl gang known as the Hex Hags, they were cursed together.
See Also: Atticus is having an existential crisis and replaying recent events over and over in his head until his best friend comes in to remind him he can now swim around in giant bowls of ice cream so honestly life isn’t so bad, right?

Atticus Laporte was still in his bed, arms outstretched, on a pillow he had no chance of reaching the edge of.
It had been a few days since the encounter with the Hex Hags and he was feeling… well…
… it was hard for him to say exactly what he was feeling about this situation.
It wasn’t the end of the world; it wasn’t even something he’d put in the Top Ten Worst Things That Could Have Possibly Happened To Him. Knowing what he knew now about the chaotic girl gang he’d recently had a brush with, he might even consider himself somewhat fortunate. Some poor bastards were turned into slugs or living stone. A friend of a friend of a friend was said to now be ‘spectral, but present’ -whatever that meant, and he’d even heard of a guy who was apparently trapped inside of a mirror. Compared to these people, he could be counted as one of the lucky ones.
One thing Atticus could say for certain, however, was that he currently did not feel very lucky.
