Tiny Tarkin and Dooky on a sunset date 🥰
Bees and a Snoke (?!)
October 29th
aka, me losing all the money I had saved up for this trip because the autism joy got triggered.
Went to the Sherlock Holmes museum first! It’s this gorgeous 19th century building all filled with Victorian antiques and full of references to the books!
And would you know… THEY MENTION THE LADS IN THE MUSEUM!!!!!!!!! PETER CUSHING EVEN HAS HIS OWN BUST!!
We bought a bunch of goodies in the gift shop, but most importantly I got my own deerstalker and a plushy friend!
The underground station at Baker Street also pays homage to Holmes, most notably with his statue and the tile art at the station itself. Of course Tiny Tarkin had to pose there!
After this, we went to the Waterstones and HMV where I bought a bunch of DVD’s and Blu-Rays for my collection, as well as a Hammer book!!!! After taking a quick nap we took an evening stroll in Hyde Park, trying to find the place where the carriage scene from Dracula ad 1972 was shot! We actually walked there with screencaps from the scene with us so we could compare lolllll. We think we found the bridge they cross in the beginning, but then again, the film was shot more than 50 years ago so a lot has changed since then. Ducky Drac and his brothers had a fun time though! The bats were even out!
After this, we went back to the apartment to unwind and rest up for tomorrow.

Tiny Tarkin and Dooky on a little spring evening date 💞
I got my hands on this little kitty figure from one of my uni professors as a joke… I’ve named him Wilbur for irony’s sake. (Look at him tho what a tiny cutie!)
I’ve given him to the Tarkin family since they’re fellow figures… Mini can even pet the boyo 💖
He seems to fit right in, although I think he sees Yarnkin as a little yarn ball to play with 😱🧶
Omfg I totally forgot to post about this but MY NECA DRAC HAS FINALLY ARRIVED LAST WEEK!!! (My shipment had some delays)
LOOK AT HIM!!!! (Plus all the othet swap-out limbs and accessories. I switched out the calm head which he has on when in his box with the medium feral head.)
He’s so big compared to my other action figures it’s hilarious
Also, behave yourself, Mini!Tarkin.
And meeting the duckies of course. I tried to sit them down for a wholesome family gathering but it looks more like an AA session lmfao
Welcome to the toy squad, NECA Drac!
The squad went Christmas tree hunting! No mistletoe but… WE’LL FIND IT ONE WAY OR ANOTHER
October 30th
Lots of nature walks today! We started off at Black Park, where Hammer filmed for multiple films, including the carriage ride in Brides of Dracula and Creature’s escape into the woods in Curse of Frankenstein! We even found the lake where the old man’s grandson searches for mushrooms! Luckily, Creech did not kill anyone this time *pats his head* what a good boy!
Then, we went to Surrey Hills. Christopher Lee’s ashes were scattered here according to findagrave.com! Not only that, but Hammer’s Hound of the Baskervilles was filmed in Surrey as well, so we didn’t go walking there but it was in the same area!
After that, we drove to… WHITSTABLE! We’re actually going exploring there tomorrow, but our accommodation is in Canterbury, which is right next to it.
And… they named a pub after Peter Cushing in the town, so of course we HAD to have our dinner there!! It's this gorgeous building that used to be a cinema and is now a pub. I had some lovely fish and chips and we even got to take one of the menu cards home with us 😆 I was expecting the food to not be really good cause well. It’s an English pub. but it was super tasty actually! And of course it was really sweet to see how they still pay tribute to Cushy 🥰
And Tiny Tarkin was there, obviously :D
(Also, I don’t drink alcohol but we had to pour one out for Peter with a cider. Bottoms up!)
I can’t wait to fanboy even more tomorrow when we actually go and walk around there!! Hoping to take lots of pictures 😆😆😆
