It’s the end of his first shift in Austin and he’s ready to head to his temporary home. After his shower, he dries off and starts to get dressed. He likes their set up, making a mental note to brag about it to Eddie later. Standing at the sinks in his jeans, he eyes the skin care routine Owen left out for him to try. Opening one of the bottles, he sniffs it and shrugs before applying some to his face. He feels spoiled here, not that he would complain about that.

“They seriously want fire and rescue on standby at --” TK looked at the big, colorful yet slightly faded banner stretched over the opening of the festival. It was if he had to double check the name of the event. He sighed. “The Testicle Festival,” he shook his head. This place was too much. Too weird. He didn’t want to try any ‘Rocky Mountain oysters’. Maybe with all the frying and eating, grease fires and choking were a big thing during this event. Strand couldn’t help the slightly awkward smile on his lips as he turned to the deputy. “So are we supposed to compare which of our departments have cooler stickers to pass out to the kids? I stand by it that Fire will always kick ass because of the little plastic fire helmets,” he added with a smirk.
