His addiction has been getting worse, the sugar, the rush, the little hit of sweetness he craves throughout the day. and well, you are sweeter than any candy he has ever had. So in his mind, that piece of candy sitting on your tongue? It's been blessed. It has to taste better than anything he could unwrap himself. Right?
A mischievous and sly man like Elias would never miss an opportunity like that.
It happened on one of those afternoons when a few students dropped by to thank you for helping them. Little tokens of appreciation: a pack of gummies here, some lollipops there. You'd dumped the haul onto your shared table, already offering Elias his share because there was no way you'd finish them all yourself.
You unwrap a small ruby candy, pop it into your mouth, and let it rest against the inside of your cheek.
You feel Elias’s gaze on the side of your face. You lift your eyes and raise your eyebrows in confusion.
“What? Do I have something on my fac-”
But before you can even finish your sentence, he’s already in front of you, his face so close that your breaths mingle. You can even smell the fruity sweetness wrapping around you that always seems to linger around him.
And then, out of nowhere, he kisses you.
You’ve gotten used to the fact that Elias always steals kisses from you left and right, completely at random. Even when you're on high alert, he still manages to sneak one or two kisses from you. What a sly man. And his kisses always taste incredibly sweet, thanks to the sugary remnants always clinging to the corner of his lips.
Just when you think this is another one of his quick, stolen kisses, his tongue suddenly slips past your lips. Before you can even react, he pulls away. You don't realize what's happened until he sticks out his tongue with that signature smug expression. There it is, your candy. That little ruby-red drop rests neatly on his tongue, as if it belongs there. As if it's finally returned to its rightful owner.
"Why did you do that?!”
He shrugged, completely unbothered. "I was just craving something sweet.”
As if he didn’t just kiss you to steal something from your lips.
You pointed at the mountain of wrappers next to him. "I gave you an entire pile of candy!”
"It doesn't taste as sweet as you(rs).”
In conclusion, you can never win against Elias Pratt ^^
Not because he's smooth, though he is. Not because he's sly, though that too. But because he is the most shameless person you've ever met.
A/N: No words. Just look at Haru's room card. Had to whip this out immediately to contain my thoughts 👀
I was thinking if I should post this on my NSFW blog, but this isn't that explicit so maybe it's fine??? Also it's my first time writing something like this please don't judge me 😭
Other notes: Suggestive (descriptions of sex but not too explicit)

His eyes fluttered open at the sound of his phone beeping, signaling to him that another busy day is waiting for him.
The rain pitter-pattered on his window pane, the cold air it brought along making the warmth beside him even more pronounced.
The sight of you sleeping soundly next to him made him smile, his chest filled with warmth.
Oh how lucky was he for you to choose him out of all the people you could have chosen in this island?
He will never know.
But as much as he wanted to stay with you a little longer, his responsibilities need him, and time waits for no man.
Carefully climbing out of bed, he pulled the covers over your sleeping form before quickly readying himself for the day.
"Mmm... Haru?"
A few minutes later, he heard you call out to him, voice still raspy with sleep.
"Sorry. Did I wake you?"
You shook you head. "No. Are you heading out now?"
"Yeah... Need to get an early start if I want to get everything finished by the end of the day."
"Guess I can't ask you to stay with me just a little longer then?" you ask as you stretched, wincing a little as you did.
He smiled apologetically.
"You should rest a little longer," he said, placing a kiss on your hair.
You tried to protest by getting up, but you soon fell back on the bed.
"Maybe I'll take you up on that," you smile wryly.
"Sorry. I overdid it last night, didn't I?"
The memories of last night's passion flashed in his mind's eye.
It has been a while since the last time the two of you had been together. He could've controlled himself better, but when he felt your warmth around him, all of his restraint just snapped.
"You did," you mumbled, averting your eyes as you continued, "but it's okay. I liked it."
He froze.
This is bad. If you continue being adorable like that, he might just lose it, and that would affect his schedule for the day.
He took a deep breath to calm himself.
"I should get going. See you later around lunch?"
You smiled. "Okay. See you later."
Bidding you goodbye, he closed the door to his room, already looking forward to fulfilling your promise to each other.
A/N: Sorry about being gone for so long. I got busy trying to set up my commissions :') hard out here;;
With dwindling resources in your fridge, you felt the need to stock up. It’s not like you could always buy convenience food, cafeteria, or from Sho’s truck; especially after going through a few days where they all closed due to various little mishaps.
Darkwick can’t let you head out alone. What if you run away again? You’re required to take at least one ghoul with you. Who are you choosing for the trip?
Kaito Fuji
He's jumping at any opportunity to spend time with you. Going to the market is a domestic dream to him and he'd gladly carry anything for you.
He brings out that deep ‘heroic’ voice of his out a lot. “𝓓𝓸𝓷'𝓽 𝔀𝓸𝓻𝓻𝔂, 𝓘 𝓬𝓪𝓷 𝓬𝓪𝓻𝓻𝔂 𝓽𝓱𝓮𝓼𝓮 𝓯𝓸𝓻 𝔂𝓸𝓾.” (Don't worry, I can carry these for you). Then he gives you a smirk that's meant to charm you.
He practiced all his lines beforehand at a mirror and even copied some of Lucas’ mannerisms to be the perfect charming guy.
To him, anything you say goes. He's never been happier.
Sometimes he'd drop a few memories of his childhood and his experiences at the market with his grandmother. You get to learn some of his favourite food too.
“Ah…yeah. Grandma used to use lots of this ingredient..” His eyes go warm and nostalgic, paired with his smile that went soft without him realizing.
He's thinking of sharing the recipe with you, or better yet, try to make it himself to impress you! His head is in the clouds now so please tug him along.
Supermarket
“𝓟𝓵𝓮𝓪𝓼𝓮, 𝓪𝓵𝓵𝓸𝔀 𝓶𝓮...” (Please, allow me). He upped the ‘manliness’ and the ‘sparkle.’ He wants to look as charming and knightly as possible even if its just pushing the cart around.
Kaito has his eyes on you most of the time. When he does look at the good selection, it's because he’s getting tempted into buying them since they’d gone viral and many people were vouching it was a good product.
When you try to buy him something he likes, he’s backpedaling on it. He’s super flustered but he also wants to look cool in front of you. A cool guy is someone who’d pay for you right? Don’t mind his debt with Romeo, he can pay. Trust him.
He’s also noting what you like. He keeps an eye on what sort of sweets or flavour profile you’re into so he could make you pastries the next time he tries his hand on baking.
If you leave him at the cashier, he’s panicking because he didn’t bring that much money to pay for all your groceries, but he's already halfway to pulling all his savings out for you. The absolute relief he felt when you came back almost made him faint.
Lucas Errant
He’d gladly jump at the opportunity to protect you. You’re friends and additionally, a very special person to him. In what world would he say no?
He researched common markets and supermarket etiquette beforehand to ensure he doesn't accidentally offend anyone and to be a reliable companion for the trip the next day.
The moment he stepped to the market, he’s concerned if he saw flies. “Is this all sanitary?” He’d bring you to where he believes his family gets their fresh poultry from, if he could just take you to England with him.
Lucas trusts your judgement, and he’d happily learn how to buy the best fresh food with you as usually someone else does his groceries for him when he’s at home.
He does not take kindly to any vendor trying to scam you or anyone within his vicinity. He’s very observant. “Excuse me, you sold us chicken at twice the higher rate as the last lady.”
The vendors end up sitting or standing straighter when he’s around. His gentleman aura is affecting them, especially when he speaks to them so eloquently. Its hard to scam someone so bright and genuine.
Lucas finds the place delightful. He carries what you brought with one hand, keeping the other free just in case he needs to pull his artifact out. If you end up holding his hand, he’d glance at you confused before holding yours back. “Are you alright?”
Supermarket
Lucas would offer to push the cart for you as well. He’d want a copy of the grocery list too so he could help you find them. If not a copy, stand close to him so he can see what you're looking for. Tell him, please. He wants to help.
Kaito’s name would come up from time to time. “Oh, Kaito likes eating these.” He’d pick up something instant and frown. “Is this really okay to consume?”
Lucas would recommend his brand of biscuits if its ever available in the supermarket. He'd buy some for you and Kaito so you can have something to munch on whenever you're hungry.
If not Kaito, then his brother. “I can’t believe they have this here. I used to eat this with….” And then you get a lot of storytime regarding his childhood.
He gets a certain look in his eyes when he’s telling you about his life. Its warm and vulnerable. He trusts this with you, because he feels safe with you.
He would offer to pay only if you don’t have enough money, or if you make a face at the total price of the groceries.
Towa Otonashi
Towa is jumping you the moment you appear. It does not matter where you want to go. If you invite him, he’s coming along. In fact, he’d carry you and fly there. Would you want that?
You’d have to keep an eye on him. He’s treating the market place like an attraction. He’s picking up live fish or a chicken and laughing at them. He thinks Haru would like this, and he'd want to take his haul back to Jabberwock.
He’d take a whole chicken with him and not pay for it if you're not careful.
Once you got him to behave, he's clinging onto you in some way shape or form. Backhug, holding onto your sleeve, or directly holding your hand. He needs physical contact.
He’d carry your things for you but there's a high chance he’d swing the bags around because he’s just so happy. If you tell him off, he’d get sad. However, if you phrase it in a way how important it is to you that the food is safe, he’d understand and be more gentle with them.
The vendors in general are intimidated by him, both by height and the way he acts. Though there are a few who treat him the same as any other buyer.
Supermarket
If he pushes the cart, he’s getting the zoomies. If he’s not pushing the cart, he’s galloping from aisle to aisle. Let him get his bursts of energy out before continuing or you're paying for damaged goods.
At one point he’s just smiling at you with a squinted gaze. He wants to tell you how cute you are, deciding if you get something or not. Unfortunately he can’t right now. He’ll have to jump you later at night.
Nothing really catches his eye unless the packaging is really pretty or if something reminds him of either you or Haru.
He’d put things in the cart without asking but he doesn't have any money to pay for it. He doesn't think about the price either. He’s just happy and smiling.
He doesn't want you to leave him alone at any point of the trip. If you do, he'd get angry and throw a tantrum. Don’t leave him at the cashier. He’d think you left him for real and he would get heartbroken.
“I was good, right? Stay with me forever, Dandelion.”
Jiro Kirisaki
He’ll ask Yuri if it's okay first. He’s phrasing it as if he absolutely has to be there to convince Yuri to agree. Once he has permission, he’s all yours.
Give him some time to prepare okay? He can’t go out willy nilly after all.
Once everything is green lighted, he’s heading out with you to the markets with a facemask. He has spares if you want.
Jiro brought gloves with him when he has to touch or lift the fresh goods you bought. That means he already decided he’s carrying what you buy. He could carry your bag too if you want.
He’s pulling you aside by the waist or the arm just before something splashes in your direction. He’s not explaining either. He’d cough and keep walking like nothing really happened.
His head would hurt on occasion because he feels nostalgic but he couldn’t remember why he feels this way. He wants to get to the bottom of it but also…not really…
He’s stepping aside for a bit if you don’t mind.
Supermarket
He thinks exercise is good for you so he'd let you push the cart. If you want him to be the one pushing, just tell him. He doesn't have a preference on who does who.
Yuri gave him a list of things to buy. He's adding his own groceries into the cart too. Might as well be productive while he's here.
Jiro would randomly blurt out facts on any ingredient that interests him or any good that you're holding. “Fresh kimchi that isn't fermented long enough come out more crispy, bright, or plump. Fermented kimchi on the other hand is lighter, visibly pruned, and less vibrant…”
He has so many facts to share and he does it either with a detached look or with a genuine small smile.
He really stands out in the supermarket. Not only for his height, but also his scars. He got stared at a lot but he doesn't really care about their opinion. Strangely he cares a lot about yours. So he would keep staring at you to observe if you're uncomfortable. If you are, he’d ask what he could do to make it better.
He's really tall, so he never gets lost even if he has a tendency to wander off. Simply remind him you're on a trip together and he's back to your side.
He can carry all the groceries you got even if it's two carts. It would attract a lot of attention but he doesn't glance at them. He’s just very subconsciously focused on you.
Yuri Isami
He is so against it. He's scolding you for thinking he even has the time but he's already filing the date at the back of his mind.
He gets angry if you forget about it too or assume he said no.
Once at the fresh market, he's stuck to your side. He knows which is fresh and which is a day old. This also means he's very meticulous on which fresh goods you get.
He's got no qualms in touching the fresh good but he'd rather you do the heavy lifting and he walks around and orders you instead.
You're not holding the list here, he is. Trust your doctor! “What are you doing? I didn't tell you to get that! Take the other one! Are you blind?!”
He just wants what's best for you because he cares for you and you're his patient. He needs you alive and healthy.
Supermarket
He’s not pushing the cart, you are. Why should he? Have you forgotten he’s the greatest doctor in the world and he could be researching right now instead of being here?
Speaking of research, he planned a perfect diet for you with Jiro. Because of this, he takes charge. If you put something in the cart that isn't Yuri approved, you're going to get scolded.
“You don’t trust my judgement? Hmph! Who do you think you are, you worm! If you're not going to listen, you shouldn't have begged me to come!” Even if you didn't beg, that's just how he saw it.
He walks ahead of you too, but he keeps looking back to make sure you haven’t left him alone.
If you manage to soften him up or fluster him with a few well placed compliments, you can sneak in a few goods that he hasn't approved.
Don’t order him around. He’ll get mad and insulted really quickly. Don’t leave him alone either. He’ll get stressed and sad.
I think the free spirit likes you... but what does that include?
This starter pack includes: WickHive posts, WickChat messages, a short drabble, a sneak peek at your date, and a playlist!
As soon as you arrived in Jabberwock, you began to second-guess your plan.
This is stupid, you thought, holding saplings and seed packets of oxeye daisies as you walked into the dorm, looking around and trying to spot Towa. Maybe I should’ve asked Haru for permission before I did this. I mean, daisies are invasive species in some areas, aren’t they...? What if Haru gets upset?
Before you could gather enough nervous energy to back out, though, a pair of arms embraced you warmly from behind, a melodic hum in your ear. “You’re here~!” Towa’s familiar voice came from behind, bright and affectionate. “And you brought flowers!”
Towa’s affection had a way of making you forget where you were every time you were on the receiving end of it. His clinging used to be daunting, but it became endearing quickly - no matter what mood you were in, you could count on Towa wanting to cling to your side and brighten your day. If you were in a bad mood, Towa spared no effort to put a smile on your face.
But it’s not only me he’s like that with, you thought, drawing in a deep breath, trying not to let his affection affect you too deeply. I might not be special to him at all. It’s really hard to tell.
Since you didn’t respond, Towa’s eyes went to the saplings in your hands, his light eyes widening with excitement. “Seedlings!” Towa exclaimed, his attention turning now to your arms. He pulled away from you, leaving you suddenly aching for him to return. “What are they? They haven’t bloomed yet, I want to know!”
You handed one of the packets of seeds to him, showing him the image on the front. “They’re daisies,” you smiled, trying now to have confidence in your idea now that it was too late to back down. “They’re some of my favorite flowers, but I’ve never seen them around Jabberwock before. I thought you might like them, too. But -”
“Daisies!” Towa exclaimed, cutting you off in your excitement as he took one of the packets, already ripping it open. “They’re the fortune-tellers!”
“Fortune tellers?” You tilted your head at him. “What do you mean by that?”
“You don’t know? They tell you how in love someone is with you,” Towa smiled, his eyes gentle as his focused locked onto you.
I wish that were true, you thought. I don’t know how you really feel about me. If a flower could really tell me that, I’d ask it.
All I want to know is if my feelings are returned.
He laughed in the next moment and turned to the large, open field in front of him. “I want to plant them everywhere! Can we do that?” Towa asked, glancing back at you. “We’ll spread them all over this hill! And then I can ask them all about love.”
“Well - well, I’m actually starting to wonder if we should ask Haru first!” You exclaimed, reaching forward to take Towa’s arm and possibly slow him down from already ripping the packet open and sending the seeds into the breeze. “I don’t want to accidentally cause a whole invasive species in here, and I’d feel guilty if it causes any problems for the anomalous flora or animals, so -”
Towa pouted and furrowed his brow with something akin to annoyance, crossing his arms as he pulled them away from you. “They’re my surprise from you, aren’t they?” Towa asked. “So I want to decide where to plant them! Haru isn’t going to take them away from me.”
You couldn’t argue with Towa. Not because his point was especially strong, but because it had the clinginess that you’d come to love. This gift was his. He wasn’t letting anything stop him from enjoying it.
“Can I ask you something, Towa?” You began, voice soft. “What did you want to ask the daisies about love?”
Towa grinned. “I wanted to ask them how much you love me,” he responded easily, as if the casual admission didn’t just make your heart leap.
“How much...” you began, trailing off as your chest clenched. “You wanted to know how much I love you?”
He nodded. “You don’t need a flower to know my feelings, if you wanted to know them,” Towa suggested. “You’re my soulmate. That’s the strongest love that I can have for you, isn’t it? I want to ask the flowers if I’m your soulmate, too!”
For a moment, you weren’t really sure how to process that information. This is beyond just affection. Can I finally take this as a sign my feelings are returned?
“You don’t need a flower for that, Towa,” you began, taking a step forward. The seedlings in your arms were gently set on the ground to free up your hands to take his. Towa’s hands were strong, soft, and big. His fingers intertwined with yours easily. “I’ll tell you the answer to that right now.” I should have told you before, anyway.
“Towa, I love you, too. If I’m your soulmate... you’re mine, too.”
Towa’s eyes widened for a moment. Then he pulled you in close, drowning you in an affectionate hug. “I knew it! From the start, I knew we were soulmates!” Towa exclaimed, lifting you off your feet to spin you through the air.
“Woah, Towa! Be careful!”
He laughed, pulling back just enough to meet your eyes. “I’m never letting you go.”

synopsis: the professors want nicer equipment to improve student performance, and what better way to raise the funds for it than to host a date auction?
note: i was playing kissed by the baddest bidder when this idea struck me lmao
PART 1
read part 2!
Staff meetings were almost always about the wellbeing of the students, especially the performance of Darkwick's ghoul population. While there are some houses they don't worry much about, the professors still want to make sure that every house remains stable. The entirety of the staff agrees that appearance of the Inspector has been a positive for all houses. However, this meeting in particular was not about the wellbeing of the students. The chancellor finds himself being cornered as his staff voice out their frustrations.
"I can't teach my students if the stuff I use keeps breaking down." Professor Nicholas lets out a big sigh. "Mio has been a great help in fixing the facilities, but we can't keep calling him when it stops working again. We need new equipment."
Professor Dante agrees, adding in his own opinion. "I would also like to point out, a lot of the automated areas of the school aren't functioning properly. I'm not just saying this for myself, but for students who have disabilities as well. We need to fix quite a bit."
"And while we're at it," Hyde smiles. "Many of our textbooks are old. As a researcher, it's a little insulting that we can't prepare our students better with more up-to-date information. I believe it would benefit our students when they go on missions. To keep them safe."
Chancellor Cornelius sighs, understanding the frustrations of his staff. He's tried all that he can to accommodate to everyone, but it's just not possible. He knows that everyone is right.
Mio can't fix everything, and neither can the cats. And as much as he bugs the institution, the higher ups won't budge to cough up new materials for the students.
"I'm happy that we all can talk freely like this. It shows that we respect one another. Unfortunately, I don't think we can actually do anything about these issues. We don't have enough funding for everything, and the institution won't give us the funding so easily."
The professors sigh. It's then that Moby speaks up.
"I might have an idea Chancellor. If it works out well, you have to raise my salary!"

Kaito had first mentioned the auction in your small group chat. It was just rumors at the time, but he shared the screenshots from WickHive, asking the Inspector, Luca, and you for your thoughts.
"They're saying it'll likely be things people can auction off. Apparently, every house has to participate."
You furrowed your eyes at the last part. Every house? Including the exclusive ones? You simply brushed it off, knowing that it wasn't worth hassling over, especially when the information is coming from WickHive of all places. It was about a week later when you saw the actual flyer for it.
Win a date! Come to the main courtyard next weekend to bid for a chance to a romantic candlelit dinner with a lovely lady from one of the many houses!
All proceeds will go towards new equipment and material for the school. Dinner and R&R permits will be provided and paid for by the academy.
You took a picture, sending it to your group chat.
"I guess you were right Kaito."
He answers almost immediately.
"A date?! And it's all covered by the school?!"
Luca replies, "Kaito, that's only if you win the bid." Kaito's text bubble comes up immediately after reading Luca's message, but the latter adds another message before Kaito can hit send. "Now I know why they had us fill out that ballot."
Curious, you asked, "What ballot?" Kaito is the one who answers.
"Ignoring his previous diss, they had us vote for the prettiest girl in our dorm."
Another message from Kaito pops up.
"WAIT," followed by, "ANGEL."
"Yes?"
"You won't be in the auction, right?"
You sent him a flurry of laughing emojis.
"Nah. I'm in Obscuary. The school doesn't want us near the GA students on a regular day. They're not putting me in the auction."
In that moment, the Honor Student responds to the chat. "I won't be participating either!" Kaito answers with a sobbing emoji next to a prayer emoji. The Honor Student replies again. "I'm not assigned to a house, so instead they'll have me collect the ballots and have the girls fill out profile cards for the bidders!"
You swear that you heard Kaito let's out the biggest celebratory shout. Though you were curious about the auction yourself, it didn't have anything to do with you or your dorm. You bid your friends a simple farewell, continuing your walk back to Obscuary. On your way, you stopped by the campus store in order to pick up some things that your dorm mates had requested. When you walked in, Benkei was swarmed with phone calls and students. You sigh, already dreading how long it's going to take you to check out. Still, you choose to not pay much attention to the commotion, briefly hearing them make requests to the shopkeeper as you skimmed through the magazines that were out on display. You picked a random one and placed it inside of your shopping basket before going off to pick up some other items.
'I think Rui said he needed more sugar. Ed wanted some fuzzy socks, though they'll probably just get lost. And Lyca needs a sketchbook and color pencils... I think I'll get him some paint too. That way he can stop touching my makeup.'
At that thought, you go look for some makeup products as well. The school store didn't have a lot, that much you knew (and one of the few reasons that you regret coming to Darkwick), but they had enough for touch ups here and there. You're inspecting one of the lip glosses when you feel a tap on your shoulder. Turning around, you're face to face with a girl. A quick glance at her lapel lets you know she's from Frostheim.
"Yes?"
She doesn't respond immediately, simply eyeing you down and letting her gaze linger on the items in your basket. You awkwardly look elsewhere, feeling a bit sour for the way she had ignored you. The way she stands in front of you also makes you feel a bit crowded, as if she's pinning you against the shelf of products behind you. She doesn't say anything for a good while and you're not sure if this is a new method of bullying, but the weirdness of it all is killing you a bit. You're about to dismiss yourself when she speaks up after her apparent evaluation of you.
"You would've been a problem for me had you been in any other house. Thank goodness the academy placed you with those other... creatures." Your brows furrowed. The grip on your basket tightens slightly and the arrogant smile on her face irks you enough that you have a clear sense of what kind of person she thinks she is.
"What do you mean by that?," you step up to her, immediately matching her hostility. She cowers a little, but not enough to actually take anything back. Instead, she doubles down on her previous comment.
"The auction next weekend." It's stated as a matter of fact, as if it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"What about it?," you ask annoyed. The Frostheim girl scoffs before rolling her eyes.
"The girl with the highest bidding gets a prize. You're quite popular on campus. It would've been an issue, but you're in Obscurary," she grins. "Which means, you won't be participating."
"Okay? Do you want a reward or what?" You just want this conversation to end and get home.
"I'm simply saying that the people from there shouldn't mingle with human activities. It's only natural, and it's something that Darkwick agrees on too."
Okay, ouch.
You as well as your dorm mates are well aware of how the academy has secluded you all, but it's something you don't touch upon. Not even Ed, and he's quite blunt about many things.
Unfortunately, she keeps going.
"No one there is human, so why even bother trying with a date auction? Let's be honest with ourselves, who would date a monster?"
Monster.
That one stings a bit, but not to cry. No, instead, it's enough to make your blood boil.
"By the way, I'm not calling you ugly, but-!" She lets out a sharp yelp when you flip your positions, this time her being the one pinned against the lipgloss display. You breathe in, trying to keep calm from doing something you're sure to regret. Well, slightly regret, if you're being honest.
"I don't care what the hell you call me," you say between gritted teeth, "but for you to speak on my housemates, all because you felt threatened by how I look beside you, over a stupid auction prize, is quite bothersome. You're being bidded on for a date, it's not a beauty pageant." You roughly place the lipgloss you were previously looking at back on the display, having abandoned the idea of buying makeup and just wanting to checkout and leave.
Once you're able to approach the cash register, Benkei notices your foul mood, but makes no comment on it. When you look away for a moment to get your money, he slides in a granola bar.
—————
The week of the auction is quite rowdy. Darkwick finally announced the six ladies that would be participating, their faces displayed throughout the entire school. Each photo was unique, displaying their charms as best as they could in their shots; however, your eye can't help but twitch when you came across that Frostheim student's photos. It's clear she paid professionals for these. High quality and edited. Not to mention, her hair, makeup, and dress all being extravagant. You will admit, she does look quite beautiful.
It makes you sick to even believe you could think that.
'Out of sight, out of mind,' you think to yourself. Repeating this mantra in your head really helped you get through the first half of your day. Next thing you knew, it was noon and also your free period. You ran to Sho's food truck as quickly as you could. Thankfully, you were the first person to make it.
"So now you wanna visit me, huh?" Sho sends you a lazy grin.
"Sorry, Rui tends to pack my lunch, but I told him that I would eat here today." You smiled up at him. "What's the special today?"
He hands you a fresh to-go container. Upon opening the lid, your mouth waters.
"Decided to try something from Central America. They call them pupusas." He says. "They're corn tortillas stuffed with cheese and meat. I hand made them myself too."
"Wow Sho, you really like international cuisine." He smirks at your praise. The smell alone is making you drool. You carefully sit down on a bench near the truck and with your fork in hand, take a bite. The flavor instantly bursts in your mouth. It's just the right amount of consistency, not too chewy and not too hard. Everything compliments each other well and you truly think that this is Heaven itself. You take another bite, then another, and another. You don't really consider yourself a foodie, but ever since coming into Earth, you can't help appreciating the many different dishes you've come across.
Sho watches you enjoy his food, feeling satisfied with your reaction. He leaves you to your own devices once he sees students begin to walk towards the truck. You're sitting there, enjoying your moment of peace, when you hear a shrilling voice. You close your eyes, already feeling your mood sour.
"Hi Sho~," she says.
Of course she'd be here. The food truck isn't some lowkey thing, you just didn't expect Frostheim students to be interested. She looks as pretty as her photos that are around the school. You take note of her sweet perfume, and you almost want to ask where she bought it from; however, when she noticed that you were at the truck, she simply rolled her eyes.
"I wanted to know if I could put up some of my auction photos here. They have a QR code that directs people to my auction bio."
You don't say anything. Hell, you don't even look at Sho's face when she asked him. You simply kept eating your food, only this time, you're eating to leave. You don't stay to know his answer, already too pissed off at the fact that you even let her get to your head.
How do you shake off the very real fact that you as well as the people in your dorm are not human? It wouldn't have bothered you as much before, but after coming to Darkwick, it's as though your humanity determines your value to the institution. How useful you are until your natural instincts kick in...
Gosh, you really need to leave. You don't turn to say bye to Sho, simply waving your hand, hoping he'll catch on.
—————
The rest of the days smush together into one big blur. From balancing classes to requests from the professors, you didn't realize how fast the weekend arrived. You're just happy that you can breathe again once auction weekend is over. You were sent on a mission that Thursday, but it was quick. The demon at that monastery was so annoying.
"The virginity of the nuns is quite delectable." It had told you, eating one of the newer, younger nuns on your second night. It was a hard fight, but you conquered. It's there that you learned how the monastery operated. The older nuns, scared of death, conjured a demon that would grant them immortality, so long as they provided him with the "proper" care he required. They revealed their true ages, all being over a century old. They were fast to fall on their knees once you had revealed your true identity, praying for mercy. How incredibly sickening it was to hear them apologize to you rather than the lives they sacrificed for their selfishness.
You had returned to Darkwick in the evening on the Saturday of the auction. Your luggage heavier than when you left, but it was over. Your bed was waiting for you and you bet that Rui had a delicious meal for you as well. You wouldn't even mind if Ed was in your bed, an occurrence that's been happening recently. Apparently your room is much more comfortable, though when you suggested to change rooms he said it was too much of a hassle. Hopefully he plays some asmr for your shared nap time. Maybe Lyca can join you both too, preferably in his werewolf form so you can all be warm-
"There you are!"
You were instantly pulled out of your thoughts. In front of you is the Inspector. She's wearing a lovely, black a-line dress. Her hair and makeup are done as well. She looks as though she's going to a gala. You smile at her, mood immediately lighting up by her presence alone.
"Look at you! You're quite lovely tonight." She blushes at your compliment, but she doesn't thank you. She doesn't have time to do so. Instead she grabs your hand and immediately beings to run to wherever she's going. You don't protest, you know she'll explain to you what's going on.
"Professor Moby has been looking for you! He thought you'd be back earlier from your mission, but I guess the monastery was quite far out. He asked me to wait at the station to take you."
"What's this about?," you ask. From her urgency, it seems pretty serious; however, the Inspector doesn't respond. Instead she takes a turn. You're greeted with a very intriguing sight.
Tents pulled up all around this area of the main courtyard. Students are running in and out of the tents, shouting for makeup and what not. You see the actual girls who are being auctioned off run to and from. You looked further down and see a stage. Then it clicks.
You're backstage at the auction.
You look at the Inspector, silently asking her why she dragged you here. Before she can answer, another voice joins.
"Here she is!" The person wraps their arms around you. You recognize the vanilla perfume.
"Jo?" You turn to look at her. She's also in a dress that's quite similar to the Inspector's. "What are you doing here?"
Jo gives you a teasing look.
"The cutie didn't tell you? You're gonna be in the auction. She asked if I could help you with your styling."
.
.
.
"Huh?!"
"It was a last minute decision!," the Inspector hurriedly spits out. "Apparently Ed had spoken to the Chancellor about Obscurary's participation and he vouched for you."
She looks apologetic. You can only sigh. You really need to stop giving that geezer the benefit of the doubt. Without having much of a choice, you nod. You'll bug him later about this. You can only pray that he'll give you a direct answer.
"Just tell me what I need to do."
You're then dragged away into an empty tent, mentally preparing yourself for the night you're about to have.
immediately after rui’s curse is broken, there are no joyous tears, long-awaited hugs, eternal hand-intertwining.
no. your contact comes slowly. it’s the flinches, the incredulous feeling of being able to have bare hands meet the air, the warmth in the air from the small distance between your hands as you sit on a bench. close enough for him to touch if he wanted, but he never worked up the courage to.
you remember waiting, watching him in the aftermath of the curse, hand held close to his face but not touching. you saw the instinctual fear that flickered through his eyes at the sight of you so close to him, and your hand is gone, withdrawn, waiting.
you remember the first time a butterfly landed on him after his curse. he's trying so hard not to shake, incredulously watching the insect stay vibrant in his hands.
you remember watching his hands run slowly through the grass, his eyes always following his movements to confirm it never wilted under his touch.
you remember him heaving in the bathroom in those late nights where he felt too scared to sleep. (he'd forgotten what it was like to rest.) when the fear instilled by the butterfly caught up to him and the delayed panic forced him to relive the cursed years.
you remember watching him cry when peekaboo accidentally bound into his arms, his body finally remembering what it was like to hold something warm. you remember watching his composure crumple, and how you so desperately wanted to wipe the tears off his cheeks.
the first time he touches you, actually touches you, is months after his curse. he'd put his hand against yours, featherlight against your skin, a silent oath to never hurt you. his forehead touches yours, and he whispers into your lips. "thank you for waiting for me."

Could you write an nsfw clingy!shion with fem!reader/mc going about their daily tasks, getting increasingly jealous when people keep interacting with them and finally losing it when someone lingers or touches for too long, so he takes mc back to her dorm to make sure she knows that she's his? (*^ω^) ♡
A/n: So sorry this is and has taken me so long to get to! ToT I wrote this some time ago, and well before we learned more about Shion via the campus stories and text stories :’) I hope you like my characterisation of him tho! It’s gonna be a 2-parter, so this one cuts off well in the sfw territory, with the actual smut taking place in the part 2. Thanks for your patience!
Features: Shion Genkai x fem!Reader (wc: 2266) | Unedited | One-shot format | SFW | Part One (you are here) Part Two (tba)
Warnings: …It’s Shion. Guys it’s Shion. Let me know if any specific tags you’d like me to add though

If you could take Shion’s artefact away from him, you probably would. Unfortunately, much like how he is over many things that stand out to him, he is rather possessive of them.
A shame, considering he wielded a six of hearts like a deadly weapon, and the two of clubs was probably still embedded in a crack in the concrete somewhere in the courtyard.
Ever since Shion—the crazed gleam in his eye and the sharp glint of his teeth—had decided that you were something he needed to keep in his sights, it was rare to get a moment’s peace from him. Even if he wasn’t there physically—likely following Mio around if he wasn’t glued to your own peripheral—you were never far from the consequences that was the path his storm had taken through the campus. He always found you, always tried, in his own skewed, twisted sort of way, to watch after you.
Heavens help you, you fell for that. For the care of a man who didn’t know how to love without burning himself and everything else in his wake, but who meant it with glinted looks, and a firm embrace that pleaded, with tainted innocence, for you to stay. He didn’t want to be alone, didn’t want to be left in the dark again.
You were the light to Shion Genkai, and you replaced the need for fire, for fuel, and for the burn he long associated with affection.
He refused to let that light fade. You didn’t need to burn, you needed to glow.
He could make you glow.
He knows he can.
If only you would just look at him, he could see you glow brighter than the burning sun, brighter than a forest blaze.
He didn’t like that you kept looking away, how was he supposed to see you glow?
You had been busy all day up to this point, and you were going to be busy for the rest of the day, as well. No question about it.
It was a roll of the dice, betting on who would be the day’s demanding wake-up call. Today, it was Ren, groaning about having to help Haru change out the bedding in one of the cockatrice coops. He couldn’t be bothered to go all the way to the front of the park for the wheelbarrow, so he decides to task you with coming by at some point and bringing it to him.
Next, you were called up to Sinostra to pick up some kind of file from Ritsu, eight in the morning, sharp. The start of his business day required the start of efficiency. You were probably going to be pulled to the admin building at some point anyways today, so that was fine, you could drop off whatever it was that he needed you to drop off.
On your way to the main building, is when Shion finds you. You look positively delighted (no…that was the wrong word, he thinks) to find yourself being pulled along, derailing the careful track you trekked into your schedule, and he drapes an arm over your shoulders with a wicked gleam in his eye that spells nothing but consequence. His weight in your side had long melted away from the thorn it once felt like, and more like a heavy coat, he encompasses you in warmth he’s only just learning how to use.
“You’re too busy,” he drawls, voice low and whiskey toned. He’s more intoxicating, though, than amber mistakes could ever be. “You’re not ignoring me now, are you~?”
The tired sound you let slip is a sound of ecstasy in his ears, and for a moment, Shion leans forward to catch that glow in your eyes.
“Such a sleepy little wife,” he chuckles, and proceeds to tug you closer. “You should—“
“Honour Student~!”
Shion’s head doesn’t turn nearly as fast as yours does, looking over his shoulder and yours as you actively try to turn in his hold to look off to the side, seeking out the source of that voice.
Shion doesn’t like the way you bounce about, and he doesn’t need to see your face to know you’re smiling at that little krill. None the wiser to his battling contestations, you wave in greeting to your friends, who jog up the cobbled path to come see you.
“Good morning, Kaito! Luca!”
Their approach slows when Kaito realises that they’re approaching Shion just as they approach you, and the expression he makes, to Shion, is hilarious. Delightful. He’d laugh if he weren’t so attuned to the way you’re trying to leave him to go say hi to the little krill.
He doesn’t let you go, and you notice. But when you try to turn your head to look back at him in confusion, his face is already there in the crook of your neck. He grins, and Kaito can’t do much more than nervously stammer.
“H-Heyy! Just, ah, just wanted to say hey! So hey! Uhh…hey!”
Your lifted brow has Luca smiling so softly at you—Shion little more than a part of your current presence—and he bows his head politely in greeting.
It makes Shion nauseous.
“Hello, Honour Student,” he hums, straightening with his hands folded behind his back. “Are you on your way to the main building? It seems we are on a shared mission. Tohma has entrusted us to deliver our last mission report to Professor Dante, ourselves, so we were just on our way.”
It isn’t missed, the way Kaito steps somewhat behind Lucas, on the opposite side to where Shion stands glued to your shoulder. To watch him squirm, Shion switches which shoulder of yours he leans on, gaze sharpening as he watches the krill scurry.
“What a coincidence,” you reply, holding that folder in your arms closer to your chest. “I’m on my way to see Professor Hyde for…”
He notices the way you look up at him. Hates that pause in your words, the way your shoulders tense. It makes it physically uncomfortable to lean on you.
Not that he’s gonna let go.
He could smell the velvet perfume and gunpowder on you from a mile away.
“…Well,” you continue, and Shion doesn’t want you to be tense anymore. It’s still uncomfortable. He lets a hand fall to your waist, and presses his nose into your shoulder.
“We’re going,” he hums into your skin, a shadow falling from his hair over his eyes, and he celebrates the look the krill gives him. He doesn’t see the way his eyes reflect the light that isn’t there—a predator made human. Half a human.
He doesn’t need to see the expression you make. He just needs to feel the drum of your heart in your pulse.
You’re so happy.
You aren’t making him stop, though, he knows. You aren’t trying to escape. You want to be here.
“W-We’re going the long way—!” the little krill shrieks to the other one, watching as they bid their farewells in haste, and tightening his grip on you as they finally leave.
“…You scared them,” you remark, and he notices you don’t try to look back up at him. He doesn’t respond, at first, but his arms come up to wrap around your waist, uncaring of the predicament it places you in, in the open courtyard, with some bs folder in your hands that needed to be delivered.
“They were looking at you for too long,” he eventually grumbles, but he doesn’t mean it to be as bitter as it comes out.
They were looking at you for too long, distracting you. You had to deliver a stupid folder. Then you could stay with him. They were distracting you. You were too busy.
…He wants to keep you. They weren’t going to let him.
He wonders what you’re thinking. Whatever it is, it has you carefully untangling the grip he has in your shirt, and smoothing the blazer back down to cover the now-wrinkled fabric. Your hand in his, guiding him forward, again.
You walk with him across the courtyard, and you let him hold onto you the whole way. He should hate the way his chest begins to burn whenever he looks down and sees your hand in his. That feeling longing to consume him, you, everyone else who keeps staring after you like you’ve gone and captured some crazed beast.
Well, you have, but that’s none of any of their business. They’ll try to take you away from him.
He won’t let them. Won’t let himself.
Like he said, he wants to keep you, and keeping you means not letting you burn.
You should stop letting others hold that fire to you in order to set you ablaze, though. They should do their own work and stop burning you into doing it for them.
Your glow is quiet by the time you’ve managed to hand off that folder. On the way out, he sees that little krill and the other one from before, but he pulls you along so you don’t see them and are tempted to pick up the match again.
He didn’t account for others trying.
His voice is annoying. That’s the first thing Shion notices. He smells like oil and something disgustingly sweet. It’s not a good mix. He’s also nothing like the little krill.
“Heyyy Honour Roll~ You out walking your pet fish? How cuuuuute~!”
You don’t react to him the same way you reacted to your other little friends. He thinks he understands why. You aren’t tense, but you do lean back into him. Was it for you, or was it for him?
“Good morning, Leo,” you greet, your voice soft, but it isn’t right.
Shion doesn’t care about this one. He’s bored.
“You sure look busy today, hmm~? I was just about to call you, actually, lucky you!”
Shion rests his chin on your shoulder. He doesn’t care to look at this one, so he doesn’t. He spots a bird flying someplace off high, circling something in that tree. Must be something fun there.
“What do you mean?” You ask him.
“I need you to stop by Vagastrom this afternoon,” he states simply, and Shion glances his way, finally. His gaze flattens, but his hand returns to your waist, not yet squeezing or tugging, but present.
“She’s not going,” Shion tells him, head tilting just enough for the hat on his head to shift a hair to one side.
You watch as Leo laughs, a look in his eye that you recognise. A look that looks far too pleased, far too amused, to convince you that the matter was going to be laid to rest. It’s cunning, sweet to your face as he sharpens the knife behind his back.
“Aww~ Your little goldfish is territorial, huh? Don’t worry, Genkai, I’ll return her in due time, haha!”
Shion frowns at that, but before he can remove his lips from the crop of your neck to retort, you raise a hand and wave it in protest in front of you.
“Leo, he’s not—“
Shion doesn’t let you finish, and the telltale sound of his artefact being pulled from his chain is enough to have you whipping your head around. Though, it wasn’t in time to prevent the two of clubs from leaving his hand, landing in the concrete with a definitive split of the sidewalk, narrowly missing the inner bone of ‘Leo’’s ankle. You knew he didn’t miss, though.
He was too clever to miss.
“Shion—!”
Once again, Shion isn’t interested in letting you finish. Though he can feel himself burning from his chest, can feel that lick of the flame as it brushed his ribs, his throat, his tongue, he swallows it, and growls.
He isn’t interested in sharing you anymore. Not when it means you stop glowing. When you start burning. You’re not allowed to do that. You aren’t supposed to be set ablaze like he is.
He won’t let you.
He thinks about the closest place he can get you. Somewhere you won’t have to talk to anybody else. Somewhere where you won’t be distracted. Somewhere he can keep you, and keep you bright, and set fire to the perimeter to make sure nobody can get in. You don’t need anybody else. Not right now.
He can hear your protests, but they aren’t strong ones.
They’re not ones you make when you’re pushing limits and he’s at risk of being alone again. He knows what those ones sound like, and he’s learned how to avoid them. Mio said that he had never seen Shion so unsteady as he has those two days when he earned your silence the last time he pushed your limits. Shion used to think that this was a weakness of his that he couldn’t afford to bear.
Your glow made him weak.
…He thinks that’s fine. It’s only you that sees it, anyways. Feels it. Isn’t that how it’s supposed to be, anyways? You’re wife. That’s how it works. He can be a little weak where you’re concerned.
Well, maybe not physically, as he realises he’s practically dragging you up to your crumbling house of disrepair. Will you be upset with him if he accidentally bruised your arm? He doesn’t want that.
He doesn’t want any of this. He doesn’t want this feeling in his chest. It’s hot. It’s uncomfortable. But it’s not burning him the way the fire does.
It burns him in the way only your glow does. The way only you do.
He has to do something about it.
He needs you to do something about it.

Saw someone theorising that Elias might have brought MC to a new timeloop through a deal and it had me overthinking for days. So have this drabble I wrote in 30 minutes
• Yandere! Elias Pratt X f!reader
• /w!\ Really light smut scene/mentions. Not explicit
Ghouls were feared for a reason.
After a year she had forgotten it all, merely enjoying what was left of her time with them, as if they were the same.
Cursed like her, dragging the weight of a sin that was not theirs. But she had forgotten how opportunistic they were.
Even as the academy turned to ashes, cries and blood around her, eaten by the flames, she still clung to that misconception.
Elias had offered a way out of it. Of this nightmare. And like the demon he had encountered, the one who had tempted him into selling what little humanity he had, a wish rolled off his tongue. This school. Her friends. Everyone and everything. He could bring them all back.
A possibility that tore her eyes away from the ground, wet eyes staring at him with a newfound hope. Others knew better than to listen to the whimsical talking of a ghoul, especially one from Dionysia. But not an ounce of doubt crossed her face.
How foolish, he could only think, face softening with adoration. She was ready to jump into an unknown world just to save her dear friends? Face an unknown future for them? Even as she bit her lips, suddenly troubled by the conditions he gave, it only lasted a moment.
But who was he to pretend he didn't like it?
His arms circled her waist. Slow, deliberate. Before nudging her closer. He only needed one thing to seal their deal. Just for him to softly press his lips onto hers as he felt the world fading.
He would bring everyone to the past, to a new world where she could once again enjoy the pretence of a normal academic life beige her time ran out.
The prophecy would be avoided, Lucas wouldn't be the champion anymore. And in exchange, he, Elias, could claim her. Certainly a poor exchange if a third party would think if they were to hear it. But to him it mattered little. An excuse to finally have the Honour student looking at him for more than 2 minutes, to claim possession of them so easily…
For him who had wished for it, often wallowing in his regrets whenever he had stepped away from her, it was a chance he couldn't pass.
This time he approached her earlier, not wasting a second to switch from being the simple and friendly janitor to Elias Pratt. Even if he brought the Dionysia ghouls to help change fate, he couldn't fully focus on them. The moment his eyes caught onto her, walking across the large campus’ garden with a stack of papers in hand, he had disappeared from his fellow dorm mates.
Taking her away from the report she was engrossed in, stumbling into a spot dark enough for his taste, he had his lips once again pressing against hers. Eating her confused inquiries as his hands roamed her skin.
Instead of watching from afar, sticking to his role as a janitor or trying to coerce Darwick into releasing his underclassmen, he could now make way for his wishes.
Between two breaths, satiated enough to let go, he promised her to explain everything that very night.
And as if he had promised, he arrived. Knocking but not patient enough to keep himself away from touching her. Explaining the deal she had made with him, trying to gauge her expressions but mind too clouded by the need to once again feel the weight of her body against his.
And not before long, bending her body for him to enjoy. Her small cries tuning in the moment she understood that she had no way out. Everything about her drove him into these rash decisions.
He, who used to sit back and enjoy Haru's shows out of sheer remissness, now bold enough to have her legs wrapped around his waist and nails shredding his back to uncover the redness of his burning skin.
He struck a nice deal. Now able to enjoy her whenever and however he wanted. Whisking her away when he felt the urge to. He had her head bobbing under the table at the back of a class when he was bored. Her panties pushed aside and hips straddled his face when he felt under the weather. And on particularly stressful days, when Shion once again clashed with the staff or the student body, he enjoyed seeing adorned in various equipment he scavengered from his rundown dorm.
Her panting form, skin flushed and hot under his, the small whines when she felt he was being too bold and risky…
