the lion king #1 thoughts(if you dont mind):

- remake of the Scene™ from the first movie except its a dream ok whatever its cute

- muffy and sarabi are disgustingly cute. all of the tlk canon ships just hit y'know

- what a lovely family...i hope nothing bad happens to them 🙂

- little king...? not wild about that sorry

- ah no the humor is copied from the 2004 rerelease. i dont need to be reminded of the animated version of morning report

- zazu becomes...more British when he insults other animals like That

- glad muffy recognized simba was the one who trespassed on the hyenas' territory and put himself and nala in danger

- eh on the giraffes bowing to muffy like that. seems a bit much, they dont even do anything in this scene

- coming out as a tlk hornbill design hater 😔

- are these hornbills not his family...?

- vultures having issues with a lunch party? wish the conflict was centered around that

- honestly real tired of tlk portraying Africa's prey species (among the most dangerous on Earth; theres a reason we never domesticated zebras) as helpless

- zazu is canonically speciest 😭; zazu stop talking like that you sound British

- not wild about the leopard villains; the main guy is just Great Value™ kiros

- simba 🥺 nala 🥺 theyre the cutest little twerps

- the moles just tell any member of the royal family news from the underground? simbas a kid (one who nearly died a couple days ago) but eh the plot must go on~

- the comic used the tlg designs for the leopards and flamingos (the giraffes and zebras are a CoL special). wonder if any tlg character will be name-dropped?

- preview still says simba and nala are looking for an elephant matriarch (it was changed to a missing elephant baby). wonder whats thats about?

- the alt covers are cool but the pumbaa one is so funny. sir-not-appearing-in-this-trailer ass

A new side comic that belongs to my Lion King universe. These short comics are going to be focused on my Kiara and Kovu cubs. They are called "Heart and Soul" since that's the meaning of Moyo's and Akili's names.
