ok but its crazy to me that on almost every other social media site I go on all Im seeing is people frothing at the mouth over Amazon's live action Tomb Raider series announcement. surely the animated show being cancelled and then the live action announcement are linked right. like i dont want to sound like a conspiracy theorist but 2013 series survival Lara is VERY different to og lara croft and now both one of the og games is being remade and a live action series is coming out based on the og lara and it feels a little bit like theyre trying to brush the 2013 survivor lara era under a rug... maybe Im just like. bitter. because survivor lara and sam are very queer coded (not even coded in the series, those bitches gay) and it feels like they're removing that part of lara in favor of her original which started to cater toward straight men. I dont like it man. Not to mention in the survivor tomb raider timeline we got a very diverse cast of people, including Jonah, who're just gonna be gone :(

Hey everyone! Happy Monday. My latest fic is out. It's a crossover fic involving theft, queer characters, cheek kisses, jealousy, and attraction. Here's the fic summary to pique your interest:

It's been several months since a White woman named Mila tried to selfishly remake the world in her image. She was murdered by literal gods from "the heavens" after she tried to take their powers. Since then, Lara has continued to distance herself from her father's legacy by turning the Croft family mansion into public housing and working with museums, archives, and libraries to carefully, and respectfully, return their stolen artifacts. Zip and Sam have happily helped her fulfill this new life mission. There's one crinkle in her plan. Something she'd never expect coming. Her close childhood friend, a Black girl she hung out with at boarding school, is alive. Penelope Stone, who she knew as "Penny," is plotting to take her down. She hopes to show the world that they could never trust this "reformed" adventurer and archaeologist. A muscular trans woman and an acclaimed international thief, known for her iconic red trenchcoat, agree to aide her in this desire for revenge...

This post overrides my previously pinned post. This fic brings together characters from Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft (Lara Croft, Sam Nishimura, Zip, Fig, and Penelope Stone) and Carmen Sandiego (Carmen Sandiego, Player, Ivy, Zack, Shadowsan, and Julia "Jules" Argent), with friendship between Player and Carmen, romance between Penelope and Fig, and growing romance between Lara and Sam. This can be read fandom-blind, but can also enjoy it if you know some of these fandoms, or characters.

Otherwise, this teen and up one-shot fic has hurt/comfort, friends to lovers, lgbtq+ themes, love confessions, lesbian Lara Croft, blushing, be gay do crime, trauma, repatriation (of artifacts), trans headcanon, trans female character, smoking, social commentary, crying, coming out, revenge (by Penelope), and passes the Bechdel Test.

This fic is about 6.7k words, complete with girl kissing, teasing, hugging, girls with guns, a sleeping gas gun, and much more. This is the first-ever fic to feature Fig and Penelope Stone.

Update: I'd just like to thank @uhhhyaenbyjade for their headcanons on Fig and Mila (I incorporated all of those points into the beginning of this fic, which is the first fic ever to feature Fig and Penelope Stone) along with tumblr posts by @s-tory (I agree, the series is filled with buff women who are hot), @daddysuperduperlonglegs (about the Lara Croft fandom discourse; the part about Lara being "beautiful aristocratic tomb raider wielding dual pistols and etc" was part of this fic of course), @crimsonxe (with comments about season 2), and @fancylala4 (with comments about season 2).

Lastly, I'm ever grateful to @tombraidingalchemist, who has posted screenshots of the cute Lara/Sam moments in s2 on here. Oh, also @farren-elwood, @beaunydoorin, @shuttlefish51, @devoteeofthetombraider, and others, this fic might of interest since... well... it's my first-real LaraxSam/S.S. Endurance fic (I wrote one in the past, but it only mentioned Sam in passing) you might be interested. I won't spoil anything, but I will say that the relationship between Lara and Sam is an important part of the fic, along with that Black villainess (?) flirting with Lara (I guess that's her way to "handle" her?)
