Me when someone insults mah boys:
9 style challenge: TMNT edition! ✨✨✨
Took me 11 hours, but it was so fun to make! And I also got a bit better at lineless art (still sucks imo). Especially like how 1980 and IDW look like. The character is my fursona btw. Honestly, I really like how this turned out, hope you'll like it as well :3
+ bonus template if you want to make this challenge as well!
I’m sure anyone who has seen the Back Cover for Raphael’s One-Shot Comic would know the Context of this Picture
*still waiting for neca 1985 casey jones before getting 1984 raphael*
Close Enough I Guess
(imagine if this is the face for the 1987 version of CJ)
Fugitoid is definitely one of my favourite TMNT characters, so I decided to draw all his versions I know about. Let's see, so we have....
1985 - the classic one
2003 - also a classic, but a MUCH BETTER one
2012 - everyone's favourite tall & kawai boi aka "Get it? I made a funny!" and "See? This is my smacking hand" one
IDW - [IMO] the best one
Ranking every Fugitoid (from best to worst)
I've seen a lot of people doing this so I thought hey, I want to share my opinion on this topic as well, why not. Before we start, I must say - this post, of course, contains spoilers, so if you don't want to see them, don't read it. You've been warned. Also, I'm still learning English so yeah, bad grammar. Now, let's start-
1) IDW
10/10. Best version I've seen so far and yes, I sure do can explain why. First of all - I really like his design. It differs from the other ones, sure, but I like it. It feels much more metallic rather than plastic (and I think, all the other versions look plasticy. Maybe that's just me, who knows, but yeah). His design as Zayton Honeycutt is also great, definitely my favourite one. Moving on - OH MAN his dialogues are SOOO GOOD! As someone who used to be a writer and still writes from time to time, I must admit - IDW Fugitoid is a very well-written character with really good dialogues. Also, I really like the whole "Chet Allen is actually Fugitoid and Fugitoid is actually Zayton Honeycutt" thing. It's hard to understand at first, but it's interesting. Also also - I absolutely adore his backstory, it's not accident or murder like in the other versions, but a sacrifice for a chance to save his family. Overall, I really liked this version of Honeycutt, great job IDW)
2)TMNT 2003
8/10. I must admit - I like TMNT 2003. And I do like this version of Fugitoid as well, it was really nice and enjoyable to me. Classic design and backstory, very similar to original 1985 comic, buT. They made his personality better than original, which, of course, lead to a better character in general. Great dialogue, really enjoyed his interactions with the other characters. It was funny and enjoyable, neat. I still think Fugitoids original backstory is kinda dumb, but yeah, very well done, great character)
3)TMNT 2012
6/10. Well...guess now I'll be hated by some part of this fandom since this version is the most popular one...Ok, I don't dislike this one, it's just...I'll be honest, he's not as good as the other two I already wrote about. 2012 TMNT Fugitoid is definitely the cutest one. Cute design, dialogue and interactions, but...I'm not a fan of it? It's like, you see, every other version was much more serious, which is good, since this character is literally some old scientist stuck in the robot body...and I don't really get this bibe from 2k12 Fugitoid. And can we just adress the fact he used to be TERRIBLE person in the past? Sure, it's interesting to see him become a better person, but JEEZ HE WAS JUST SOME GREEDY OLD MAN WHO ONLY CARED ABOUT MONEY WTF DUDE. Also - PLASTICY AF LOOKING DESIGN
4)1985 original comic
4/10. It's not like I hate him, but YES, sorry to say this, but original Fugitoid is definitely the worst one. It's such a dull, uninteresting character to me. He's just....he's just exists. Running, trying to hide, while thinking about how bad it is to be a robot. Maybe I just read too little issues of the original comic, but that's the thing - I don't want to continue reading this. Just, why would I, when IDW comics exist. UPG: I read more issues of classic comics and yeah, not bad, but I still prefer other versions of him
And here was my honest opinion, hope you liked it. Reblogs are appreciated :3
