this is the very first one that popped into my head. it's just so, so GOOD. i love that their first kiss happens when rehearsing a scene for a play and my guy ji oh can't help but jump at the chance to finally stick his tongue down lee won's throat. the backpack getting thrown off. the script getting tossed aside. absolute perfection. this is the power of theatre, people. and from korea??? in a why r u remake?? deserves a trophy

Kinnporsche "go open a bar on the beach" kiss

episode 6 is such a fun episode, like truly beloved of mine, and the amount of times I watched this kiss back. man. I particularly love kinn's stumble as porsche launches himself at him. and then porsche clinging around his neck before walking off to "never see him again". yeah. yeah...

Old Fashion Cupcake confession kiss

an absolute banger. all the excuses nozue spouts to get out of the apartment when shit starts getting too real? togawa slamming him into the wall? thumb in mouth?? them sliding down the wall to the floor together while togawa falls apart confessing??? and the whole scene being one continuous shot leading up to the kiss and all the way through togawa's breakdown???? THAT'S SOME GOOD YAOI

The Time of Fever bedroom kiss

honestly, the anticipation of waiting for this show to drop after falling hard for donghee and ho tae as the second pair in Unintentional Love Story made the watching experience of The Time of Fever that much more intense. i had years of imagining them kissing and wondering why in the hell they were like That. and it didn't disappoint! they were everything! and this kiss....orange slice. the heater between them. begging to practice just one more time. the breathing, oh boy the breathing. the way the tension spikes so quickly and viscerally. UH i can go on. I also just love ho tae's actor, won tae min, and want him to stay on my screen forever. and do woo is beautiful like this gif makes me dizzy actually.

i'll stop here, considering i have reached my gif limit (it was necessary to use three gifs for CCP, I stand by that). i feel good about this. i did also have some GL kisses pop up into my brain when prompted but maybe we'll save that for another post. I also didn't choose bad buddy bc, well, yeah. tanbunn handcuff kiss in MOD and billyseng gate kiss in SCOY were close runners-up.

the fact that some of the flashbacks were actually flash forwards, that this whole time we thought we were mourning what they’d lost but actually we were being reassured of what was to come… that’s incredible.

bc all this time we’re wondering how it will work, how is this gonna be fixed, how do they get back to that. but that’s where they are, they showed us plain as day, they already made it. and it’s incredible bc in the midst of a break up like that it can all seem so broken and messy and complex and impossible to fix, but in actuality the solution doesn’t need to be this complex thing, it can be so simple, as simple as being honest. the honesty was bleeding through in those flash forwards, we just had to wait for present day jiwoo and seojun to catch up. we see the glimpses not what of what was or what could be, but what will be. all along, it was indisputably true that the future would be like that, a fact so honest that perfectly mirrors how honesty and truth is what will bring them back together and make them strong.

and it’s not some fate or destiny, not some prophecy or what the future holds, it’s real. they made that future. just like it wasn’t some nebulous fate that made seojun give jiwoo that handkerchief, it was his pure kindness. they are destined to be together not because that’s how it should be, but bc that’s how they make it be

My toxic trait for To My Star 2 is that I want Seo Joon to hurt Ji Woo's feelings. Terribly. I mean i want this man sobbing and begging for him back.

We don't know what demons Ji Woo is fighting, but the way we know Seo Joon would bend himself backwards to help and love Ji Woo lets me know Ji Woo is following bad habits.

I am simply tired of Seo Joon having to experience the Hot and Cold of Ji Woo for them to probably make up and have fluff time. I want Ji Woo to chase Sso Joon, understand how much pain he added to the relationship from S1 to S2, have to work towards earning Seo Joon's love, and then get some fluff.

But it's BL, so how much balance do we expect to get.

I just binged The Morning Show and since s3 is in production I just gotta get a few things of my chest. First off I need to say that I love Corey (yes, even tho he leaked the article) but to pin him and Bradley together as a romantic couple is harmful and undermines the tone of the whole show. 

We need to remember what show we are in. Most of the show has been about sexual misconduct in the work place. Corey is Bradley’s boss. And I just can’t get past that. And the way he goes behind Bradleys back in order to “take care of her” is just a major red flag. He tries to control her, and justifies is with it being for her best interest, that is literally one of the most toxic traits someone can have. So yeah, Corey is a male manipulator. And as much as I do like him we need to establish the fact that he is an antagonist.

I get the fact why some people oppose Laura. She’s confident in who she is, she’s gone to therapy and has this maturity many people only dream off. It can come off as intimidating. But the relationship she has with Bradley is healthy. They care for each other, they aren’t trying to benefit from one another. I’ve seen some people saying Laura’s using Bradley to get some kind of rep with UBA which makes no sense at all. She is well established on her own, as is Bradley.

By ep10, Laura has laid out her concerns that if Bradley doesn’t put up boundaries for her family she will never heal from her traumatic childhood and as harsh as it sounds it is the truth.  I have bipolar disorder myself, I know how hard it is on my family. I personally have not dealt with addiction but I know people who’s families have been destroyed by it. Bradley has tried, she has paid for Hal’s rehab in the past and ha been there for him, unconditionally. With no results. The idea that we are responsible for our family members, and that we have to lose ourselves for them is very patriarchal. And Laura does not manipulate Bradley to cut Hal off, she does not order her to do so. She laid out her concerns and gave her, good healthy advise. 

In contrast to Laura, Cory immediately jumps to help Bradley to search for Hal. But we need to know that there is another reason for him to be doing that and that being that he is responsible for Hal coming to NYC, Hal losing it over Bradley’s outing (which was h o r r i b l e and traumatic for me as a queer person btw) by being the one who outed Bradley in the first place. We knew that Corey had feelings for Bradley because he got hurt when he heard the gossip about her and Laura. He sleazes his way to get a permission to run the story, by again, manipulating her. He did not out Bradley just because they wanted to protect Hannah, he outed Bradley and Laura because in a way he felt it was his right by, in his mind, being led on by Bradley. And in the midst for searching for Hal, he decides to have this moment to declare his love for Bradley, which in my opinion just further tells us he isn’t doing anything for Bradley, or Hal, or anyone but himself. It is not romantic, is is not friendship. It is greed.

So to sum it up I really hope the show won’t start running in circles, because that’s what happens of they try to make Corey and Bradley a couple. I get the excitement, but it’s not sustainable. Laura and Bradley could make a sustainable, loving, caring couple and that is something that the LGBTQ+ community still needs to see be represented on tv, especially for wlw couples. If they used Bradley’s plot line of her exploring her sexuality to only further plot twists for her to end up with Corey? That is in my opinion homophobic storytelling and it needs to be addressed. 

And if that is the way they choose to take the story I won't be tuning in for s3.
