Knitting a sock today whilst drinking tea.

The pattern is Zhenya Lavy's Smash-up Magic Toe-Up Socks, and is freely available as a PDF online.

I am reknitting it because I made the length before starting the gusset too short and the sock tried slipping off my foot just from a casual try on. I love the look of it and the eye of partridge stitch on the heel though, so definitely worth it.

As you can see, the sock was way too short. I added 1/2" to the length, we shall see if that works.

Bob and Weave socks done!

I'm rather pleased with them, but not with this pic. Once I've got actual daylight I'll take some decent, true-to-colour photos and post, but for now I just wanted to share.

I've been working on a pair of "Bob and Weave" socks for a bit and was really looking forward to finishing them up - I finished the heel yesterday, meaning it's almost done.

Only I just spotted a huge mistake. I've completely mucked up the pattern, so I'm going to have to unravel the heel and two pattern repeats. I want to cry.

A BUSY JUNE SO FAR

Who said that retirement would be boring? Wrong, wrong, wrong.
