kenneth is so me WHO IS THIS DIVA

HI YES THANK YOU FOR LETTING ME TALK ABOUT MY SPECIAL LITTLE GUY!!!

(Disclaimer for the picture above: he would not fucking do this) I wouldn't even know where to start w him tho there's SO MUCH but uh,, okay brief summary! Kenneth is my main oc in an ongoing rp story I share w a couple friends! The setting is basically like a made-up ambiguously placed city that's rife with crime and gangs (kinda like Gotham city if you want something to compare) and Kenneth is an infamous serial killer and cannibal! He's deeply disturbed and burdened w both a god complex and self hatred, feeling only someone, as divorced from humanity as he, is capable of ridding the world of evil. He has.. a lot of baggage that I can't just unpack right here right now. His story is kinda intertwined w my friend's oc Wasp, (the city's top dog gang leader) who blackmails Kenneth into working w him after Kenneth made a failed attempt on his life, only for them to form a weird toxic homoerotic Thing that I also can't upack rn.. But basically they're character foils! Kenneth is an staunchly repressed loner with strong (twisted) morals and Wasp is someone who surrounds himself with people and pleasure to the point of excess. Kenneth is self-centred - less in an ego sense and more in that he is so wrapped up in his own warped perception of reality that he struggles with anything that contradicts it. He has a very black and white view of good and evil, but his complex relationship with Wasp and the members of his gang kinda start to challenge that. Which is bad, because his psyche is held together with the fragile thread of his worldview and he's terrified of what could happen if that's shattered. I love him because he sucks! He's a traumatised animal lashing out at the world and he has so much blood on his claws and fangs and he can't turn back now because all that's behind him is a trail of violence. He was told all his life he's not even human and born wicked and he has made it his reality. (Also, if you're curious what accent he has, he has a very subtle european one that's often barely there unless yeah, high emotion - which he experiences rarely. Flat affect my beloved <3)

The fact the Darkharvest00 finale dropped while I was mid rewatching it was such an amazing coincidence and wow it did not disappoint for a second!

I wasn't there the whole 15 years. I got into dh00 in my mid-to-late teens, but I've been fond of it ever since. I got attached quickly to the characters and story and now, being older, can appreciate the themes present in the series even more. The portrayal of loss and struggle and how these three people came together through the trauma, heartache and horror to form this deep platonic relationship which is so meaningful that it shapes the narrative into a story about their love for one another and how far they're willing to go for it. All these years and this finale offered such a bittersweet conclusion to the significance of that love, while metatextually offering the audience its own closure and goodbye. I don't think it could have ended any other way and I wouldn't have wanted it to. This is an ending that tells us letting go and moving on is hard, but necessary, and as someone who has recently experienced loss and is still dealing with the grief, that is such a hard-hitting and personal aspect of this finale. It means so much to me to that the final moments of this series are spent on accepting the end of something.

from what i see, it's that mirabel's main gift was her relationship with casita (in general it was that she connects the gifts/miracle with her family).

i don't really remember if we did see how others communicate with casita, but we see A LOT of mirabel conversations with casita. her asking if casita can help in bruno’s room, asking how she’s going to safe the miracle, and definitely the whole asking casita to help her to get the candle and how in the process camilo and isabela didn't get it because casita was busy helping mirabel? 

so what i see from her ceremony wasn’t that her door vanishing, but blending with casita. her door was the door that open casita itself, as it shows in the end. if i go with the interpretation that each room resembled "their world", mirabel's door, which is casita's main door, lead to her world, her family, the madrigal family. that's my take i guess?
