"They tied [Greta Thunberg's] hands behind her back with the Israeli flag and made her walk. They didn't give us clean water, they told us to drink from the toilets. We went nearly 40 hours without food. We saw mothers writing their children’s names on the walls. We actually experienced a little bit of what Palestinians go through." - Activist Aycin Kantoglu
"They tortured Greta very severely before our eyes. [...] They dragged little Greta by her hair before our eyes, beat her, and forced her to kiss the Israeli flag. They did everything imaginable to her, as a warning to others" - Journalist Ersin Celik
"Greta Thunberg, a brave woman, is only 22 years old. She was humiliated and wrapped in an Israeli flag and exhibited like a trophy." -Journalist Lorenzo Agostino
"It was a disaster. They treated us like animals." - Singer-songwriter and humanitarian activist, Hazwani Helmi
"We stayed with reverse handcuffs for 5 hours. When we went to prison, they didn't give us water, we had to drink water from the toilet." - Author Said Ercan
"When we showed our reaction, they increased their violence even more. They tried to keep us under constant pressure in prison, waking us throughout the night and changing our locations." - Doctor Osman Cetinkaya
"They treated us like dogs. They left us hungry for three days. They didn’t give us water; we had to drink from the toilet … It was a terribly hot day, and we were all roasting." - TV presenter Ikbal Gurpinar
Hundreds of peaceful activists from 45 countries formed the Global Sumud Flotilla. They had their aid vessels blasted with water canons and boarded by Israeli navy. Their communication systems were jammed, and their ships were unlawfully seized. The activists were then kidnapped and tortured in Israeli prisons against their will.
They were denied clean water and medicine, kept awake, moved from place to place, starved, dehumanized, and had their bodies used to generate Israeli propaganda. They endured this terror for days. This is terrible. And this is only a glimpse of the terror that Palestinians have endured.
My friend Fadel (@fadell-aldany) and his family have been denied access to clean water and starved for months. They have been forcibly displaced over and over again. They are kept awake by flooding and gunfire.
My name is Fadel Al-Dane, a Palestinian from Gaza, my age 23-year-old third-year I… Fadel Aldane needs your support for Help Fadel And His F
The activists detained for attempting to deliver aid have all been released, but Fadel and his family are still trapped under the control of Israel. Fadel cannot simply return to a safe home. His house was destroyed by bombs. He cannot simply be treated for his injuries at a hospital. Gazan healthcare infrastructure is decimated.
Fadel started fundraising to afford travel to a hospital that could remove shrapnel that embedded in his body during the bombing of his family's home. His campaign was verified and shared by @90-ghost and @a-shade-of-blue, and was vetted by @gazavetters (#197 on the gazavetters spreadsheet). That was early summer of 2024. He has not raised near enough.
His family is living out of a damaged tent in an area subject to repeated flooding. Their supplies keep getting ruined, and even worse, everyone has become very ill with the flu in the wet, cold weather. They need desperately to buy a new tent to keep themselves and their food and supplies dry.
They need to get medicine, clean water, and nutritious food so that they can recover. Please help them.
Does anyone understand my pain and what we're going through? We're living in a completely torn tent, and the storm in Gaza is severe. Rainwater leaks in all the time, and worse still, I've been injured for over 450 days, with metal shrapnel still embedded in my body. I'm in critical condition and need urgent surgery, but everyone is ignoring me.
Please wake up and look at me! Please stand by me! I desperately need your donations to buy a new tent and get my surgery. Please don't ignore me!
please continue to help Fadel, vetted 197 by Gazavetters , he's fighting infection and has been unable to recover from shrapnel wounds for many montha
I'm speaking to you now from inside our tattered tent, which offers no protection from the rain or the cold wind.
Rainwater constantly leaks into our tent. All our blankets are soaked, and while we use them to protect ourselves from the cold, they actually make us colder. We're experiencing the worst days of our lives. I look around and ask myself, "Why? Do I deserve all this suffering? Do I deserve all this pain? Do I deserve to have shrapnel embedded in my body for so long, to remain injured like this?"
I'm constantly shivering from the cold, and my injuries are exacerbated by the intense cold.
Please stand by me so we can buy my medicine as soon as possible and a new tent. Please don't abandon us in these difficult circumstances. Please donate.
Fadel's body is already using most of his energy to fight infection and injuries. Please help get him food and shelter and the medicine he needs despite the ongoing seige in Gaza
Do you know what we're going through right now? Do you know that since the beginning of the storm, our tent has been torn twice, and although we've tried to repair it, water is still leaking in? Do you know that we sleep in fear of the rain, sleeping on blankets soaked with water and freezing cold?!!!!! And what's worse, I'm sick, and my condition is worsening because of the cold and the surrounding water, and because our blankets haven't dried from the leaking water.
Therefore, I hope you won't ignore this. I hope you will stand with us and help us by donating so we can buy a new tent and my medication. Please donate.
Fadel is sick and needs all the help he can get, please donate!
