the way I somehow slip the phrase "to me" into every conversation. toki pona has affected me to the point where I'll be like
"you probably shouldn't do that. to me." And it's not "you shouldn't do that to me" it's "in my opinion you shouldn't do that".
like any place where it would be appropriate to slip in a little "tawa mi" in toki pona i keep doing it in english

i doubt i'll regret my toki pona tattoo because even if i fall out with the community or sonja, it'll still be a cool little language, one of the coolest things to happen in conlanging at a time when a lot of cool things have happened, and when i tell people about toki pona, they either think it's a cool story or think I'm a dork. and most people don't care that I'm a dork; they find it endearing about me. but if they do care, i don't care about them.
i literally wear the fact that I'm a dork on my sleeve now. accept it or don't. it saves a lot of time for people to either take me or leave me as soon as they see my arm and ask about it
the tattoo artist asked "why do you want these cute little symbols on your arm?" that's what they are to people who don't know what toki pona is, cute little symbols. and when they ask about it, they get to learn about something really neat that exists
