Prompt - I want this to be a reality for Tom and Kelsey but for now it can be a Fanfiction. How about Tom prepared to ask Kelsey to marry him. He gets everyone involved the boys her best friend Kelsey Ann and the k2k stars. His idea was to do it at one of her school while the kids sing heart vacancy he walks in and asks her. He plans the perfect proposal but not everything goes to plan. Something happens were he ends up late and everyone is mad. He ends up mad and just blurts it out.

Tom honestly believed that he found his soul mate in Kelsey. There could be no one better than her to be part of Tom’s life. She was literally the female Tom in behavior and habits. Literally a good match for Tom. Like every other couple, they had their fights, they had their break ups and make ups but they got back every time. It was their love for each other that brought them back to each other. And Tom wanted nothing more than to make this relationship official now.

Tom had been thinking about for a long time now. He knew he wanted to make Kelsey a part of his life as soon as possible but he was just waiting for the right time to propose to her. For weeks now, he’d been planning the perfect way to ask Kelsey to marry him. He had gotten everyone roped in for the preparations. From the k2k stars to Kelsey’s good friend Kelsey Ann to his own bandmates, Tom had made sure everyone was part of his perfect proposal plan to Kelsey. He really wanted to make this a memorable for Kelsey and him.

Tom had put days and days of practice to get the little kids to sing Heart Vacancy. Max, Siva and Jay proved to be a big help for him. While Max took care of teaching the song to the kids, Siva and Jay had made the arrangements of the dinner date that Tom had thought of after proposing to Kelsey. Nathan had joined the kids and would sing along when Kelsey would arrive at the academy. They had everything planned. Tom only had to go pick up the ring for Kelsey and reach his destination as soon as possible. Everything was set. Except that it didn’t go as planned.

Tom thought that all he had to do was pick up the ring and get there before Kelsey. What he didn’t expect was to get delayed at the shop and as if that wasn’t enough he got mobbed right in front of the k2k school. He tried his best to give pictures and autographs as soon as possible but the girls just weren’t letting go. As if that wasn’t enough Kelsey witnessed Tom having all the girls pulling at him, kissing him and literally being all over him. To say she wasn’t impressed was a big understatement.

Kelsey had stormed through the academy with Tom right behind her when the kids started singing. She raised an eyebrow at Nathan on the piano but not even a few lines in the song, the parents of the kids started arriving.
“Seriously, they couldn’t wait five minutes?” Tom harshly spat.
“What are the kids even doing here? It’s way past their schedule” Kelsey asked.
“Well, somebody had to reach here way before but instead decided to come after everyone” Max said, glaring at Tom.
“Well that somebody was busy with some girls outside” Kelsey huffed.
“It’s not what it looks like, okay? I got mobbed. I swear.” Tom sighed, “I just wanted to make this day perfect. Now it’s ruined.”
Kelsey raised an eyebrow at Tom while the boys each shared a look with each other.

Before Tom or Kelsey could even say something, Nathan got on the piano as Max started singing Heart Vacancy. Kelsey could only stare in shock as Tom went one knee, pulling out a ring.
“I got delayed at the shop otherwise this was going to be my big surprise. Kelsey, I’m a mess and you already know this. But could you just you know… Help me sort out my life. Would you marry me?” Tom asked.
“Oh my god” Kelsey gasped, “Yes, I do.”
Tom pulled Kelsey in a kiss before sighing as he winked at Nathan and Max.
“Monsieur et Madame, please follow me” Jay said, in a French accent, leading the way to the little dinner date set up they made for the two of them.
Siva acted as a waiter, serving up the food and leaving the two lovebirds to their own.
An overwhelmed Kelsey managed to stammer out a thank you to Tom as the man himself pulled his would be wife in a hug, mouthing a ‘thank you’ at the boys.

It didn’t go as he planned but with the boys’ help, Tom managed to propose to Kelsey. It wasn’t the perfect proposal but Tom would forever be grateful to the boys for at least helping him save his big day from getting ruined.

They all thought that it was an April fool joke. Tom was good at pulling such jokes. Every 1st of April, Tom would try to pull some kind of prank on his bandmates. But this time, he hadn’t even thought of any pranks and fell victim to a big conspiracy but trust his bad luck, no one was ready to believe that this wasn’t a joke. After all, who would believe you if you called on the 1st of April saying that you got kidnapped. It all seemed like a good April fool’s joke.

When the phone rang at The Wanted boys’ apartment, it was Nathan who picked it up.
“Help.” Tom’s voice came through before a man snatched the phone and started demanding for ransom in return of Tom.
“Tom’s got kidnapped” Nathan gasped as soon as the kidnapper hanged up.
For a few seconds, the boys got worried but then Max started laughing.
“Max” Siva gently chided.
“Oh come on boys, didn’t you get it? It’s 1st of April. He is pulling a prank on us and trying to fool us.” Max said.
“He’s good at these pranks. But we’re not falling for this” Jay said.
Siva and Nathan shared a look with each other but then nodded along.

Unfortunately for Tom, he got kidnapped at the wrong time. Well, to get kidnapped itself was bad but when it’s on the 1st of April, everybody takes it as a joke. Tom’s only mistake was to get into a fight with some wrong people at a wrong place. A bar fight turned out in kidnapping and Tom found himself beaten up and dragged to a car and driven off to a secluded place. Thankfully they allowed him to call the boys as they had to ask for ransom but after the phone call, Tom had a strong feeling that his friends hadn’t understand the seriousness of the situation and unfortunately, his kidnappers felt the same and that resulted in Tom suffering blows after blows.

A day later, Tom had still not returned home. Though the boys were starting to get worried, they weren’t saying anything but that was until Kelsey came home in tears.
“Tom hasn’t come home, boys. He was supposed to meet today. I called everyone but no one knows where Tom is.”
“Come on, Kels, he is fooling us. It’s just an April fool prank. He called us saying he got kidnapped. Even got people to try and sound like kidnappers and make the prank a good one.” Jay laughed.
“He got kidnapped?” Kelsey gasped.
“Don’t be worried now, Kels. You know how Tom is. He is just pulling a prank.” Max said.
“Max, he had called me and said he got in a fight with some people at bar. You know he has a habit of drunk calling me. He surely must have gotten kidnapped.” Kelsey said.
“This is no joke” Siva sighed.

Tom thought that everything was over now. No one would ever come to his help. He had somewhat lost hope but then a police siren was heard.
“Your friends got the police to track us. But don’t worry, we’ll leave you a last gift before going.” His kidnapper had laughed at him.
The amounts of punches and kicks that Tom received had him pass out, only catching a glimpse of his friend’s faces.
Nathan’s voice was the last thing that Tom heard before he passed out, “Tom… Tom, are you okay?”
Tom had let darkness consume him as soon as he saw his friends, knowing that now he was in good hands.

As soon as Kelsey had told them about the bar fight and the call, the boys realized that this was no April fools’ joke. They immediately contacted the cops and thankfully, they had managed to track the kidnappers very quickly.
It took not much time for them to reach the place where Tom was kept but if only they had realized that Tom had actually been kidnapped then they would have gotten Tom out of there even much before.
As soon as they saw Tom, the boys gasped at the situation in what Tom had gotten himself. It really was not any April fools’ joke.

As soon as they got Tom to the hospital, the boys had been holding to each other as they waited for Tom to get his senses back.
Kelsey had clung onto Tom’s arm while Nathan tried to bury his face over Tom’s shoulder. The boys all sat close to Tom waiting for the man to wake up.
And when he actually woke up, Tom found himself pulled in a group hug by Kelsey and the boys.
“We’re so sorry, Max. We all thought that it was an April fool joke that you were pulling on us” Max explained.
“I’m glad you found me, boys” Tom simply said.

It hadn’t been an April fools’ joke. If only the boys had realized this before then Tom wouldn’t have to go through all this torture.

Celebrating Halloween between friends were the best things and Tom wasn’t going to miss it for anything. Even if now The Wanted were on a break, but when the boys decided to meet up for Halloween, Tom didn’t refuse. It was a good occasion to just meet up and refresh the memories again. But unfortunately, Tom didn’t think that this Halloween could be a little scary for him. Tom isn’t one to get scared easily but there was something that he couldn’t digest and that was horror movies. And this Halloween, he was going to be treated with a special dose of horror movies.

They all met up at their LA apartment and Tom was happy to see his bandmates again. He had been able to catch up with Jay again and personally tell him how proud he was about his dance show. He was able to meet Max and Siva again. It had been a long time since they met up and Tom was happy to see them. He was also able to see Nathan again and tell him how proud he was of their Baby Nath’s achievements. But mainly he was proud to just see them again. It was so nice to finally been able to move from a phone call or a tweet to finally hug the boys again. Also, they were happy to finally have a group hug after so long and that also a on a good occasion like Halloween.

From having their last minute pumpkin carvings to decorating their house, cooking a nice meal and getting the booze, the boys immediately got into the preparations for Halloween. After a nice meal, some drinks and a bit of teasing Nathan to go trick and treating, the boys settled on the couch for a movie night. Max and Jay had taken charge of choosing a Halloween suitable movie and when they got back to the couch, they started teasing Nathan.
“Baby Nath, I hope you’re no longer scared of scary movies” Max chuckled.
Nathan groaned as he sent a pillow flying over Max’s head and cursing himself when he missed the target.
Amidst the boys’ chuckles, Tom’s groan went unheard.

Tom was a brave guy. He could handle any scary situation but he just doesn’t do scary movies. He couldn’t handle the high pitched screams, the fake blood, the over exaggeration on screen. It just seemed to creep Tom out.
As soon as the movie started Tom looked over to see Nathan sitting with his eyes closed and face buried in Siva’s side as he clutched a pillow. Tom wanted to do the same but he just couldn’t. He was the oldest and he wasn’t supposed to show weakness, right?
But unfortunately a high pitched scream followed by Nathan’s scream had him screaming out in fear too which caught the attention of the boys.

The boys had burst in laughter at Nathan’s scream as the boy tried to dig his head further in Siva’s side but their laughter was cut short as Tom also let out a shout.
“Don’t tell me that you’re scared too, Tom” Jay chuckled, reaching out an arm around Tom’s shoulder when the man let out another shout.
“Don’t touch me. Just don’t touch me” Tom mumbled, pulling up his knees to bury his head in.
“Tom, relax” Max said but Tom kept on mumbling to not touch him.
“He’s going to have a panic attack if he continues” Siva said.
Sighing, Max placed a hand on Tom’s back and tried not to let the sweat nor the shakings from the boy disturb him as he said, “Tom, you’ve got to relax or else you’ll be working yourself in a panic. Just breathe, man.”
Max’s voice seemed to cut through Tom’s little panic as slowly the boy started to loosen up before finally taking a deep breath that had the boys let out a relieved sigh too.

After calming down enough, Tom accepted the glass of water from Jay. Gulping down the water, he looked up to some worried faces.
“Are you okay?” Nathan asked. And that made Tom feel even more embarrassed. Hell, the youngest managed to not freak out how much he had.
“Go ahead and laugh” Tom said, closing his eyes.
Max sighed, squeezing Tom’s shoulder, “you just had to tell us that you don’t like horror movies.”
“I’m the oldest. I’m not supposed to…” Tom trailed off.
“You’re human. You can have fears. You’re allowed to voice out your fears, okay” Max said.
Tom sighed as he gave a little nod.
“What say we watch a little comedy movie” Jay suggested, trying to divert the attention from that little situation.
They all nodded as Max mouthed ‘good idea’ to Jay.

Halfway through the movie, Max looked over to see that Nathan had fallen asleep and even Siva and Jay were dozing off. Only he and Tom were still awake.
“It’s okay to freak out at horror movies, you know. That’s why they are called freaky horror movies” Max said.
“And it’s okay to cry at romantic movies, at sad scenes, at dog scenes and at cartoons also” Tom retorted back, chuckling.
“Now that’s my man” Max chuckled, before adding, “I don’t cry okay. It’s just that those scenes are so damn emotional. I can’t help it.”
“Sure, dude. Sure” Tom laughed.

Their Halloween plans didn’t go as planned and even though Tom had freaked out earlier, he was glad that they been able to meet up and spend Halloween together.
But there was one thing that the boys would remember from now on and that was that Tom Parker doesn’t do horror movies.
Prompt - Not sure how far you'd go with the graphic sort of side? But could there be one where Tom is abused and the boys find out. Whether it be a relationship or family life (even though his family are lovely in real life) maybe some protective Tomax? How soon could it be done?

The first time the boys met Tom, they maintained a bit of distance with the boy due to his rough and tough kind of persona at first look. With time, though, the boys managed to see the inner soft character of the boy rather than his make believe persona. But the one thing, the boys could never understand was why would Tom, a soft guy who would cry when he was drunk or seen tearing up when watching an emotional movie or be the touchy feely guy whenever someone needed someone to talk to, why would that kind of guy try to make people believe that he was someone with a tough character. The boys learnt the truth behind that façade much later.
------
The one time Tom had let his defense down was when he got totally drunk with the guys. It was the first time that Tom had actually talked about his family so openly but unfortunately Nathan was the only one sober enough to remember that confession from Tom.
“Dads are awful you know. Don’t worry. If you don’t want to talk about your Dad in interviews then nobody can force you. I’ll take care of that” Tom had slurred out.
“You’re drunk Tom. You’ll forget this conversation tomorrow. But thanks anyways” Nathan chuckled.
Much later, Nathan realized that Tom had actually made a confession about his Dad to him. It’s only that Nathan hadn’t understood it then.

Another thing that the boys noticed was whenever they had time off and decided to return home, Tom would never actually go home. There always were pictures of him floating around that Tom had hit the night clubs again. Sometimes they would chalk it up to Tom just enjoying his time while sometimes, they actually wondered why anyone wouldn’t want to go home and meet his family after having stayed months away from them. But whenever they asked Tom about that, the lad would either change topic or claim that he had gotten an invitation from a friend that he couldn’t refuse.

But the one time that Tom had actually gone home was when they were performing in Bolton itself. The boy hadn’t actually made any plans to go home but after the concert he had hurried home in a blinded panic leaving Max very worried. Max had actually dashed with Tom as the boy ran out to get a cab.
“Whoa mate, easy there” Max said, helping Tom up who ignored him as he ran to get a cab. “Tom, what’s wrong?”
“Home… I have to reach home. Why the hell isn’t there any cab out here?” Tom mumbled more to himself than to Max.
Max watched the boy hail a cab and go before making up his mind to follow the boy. Max had never been so grateful for having taking such a good decision in his life after taking in the scene at Tom’s house.

Tom’s mother had remarried after Tom’s father’s death but unfortunately the man could never prove to be a good step Dad for the kids. When Tom was at home, he suffered every blow from that man while his brother had run away from home at the first opportunity itself. But Tom’s mum never believed her husband to be wrong. And unfortunately Tom had to keep his mouth closed and suffer through the physical and verbal abuse from the man so as his mother could have a good life and a better financial support from that very man. But today after the concert, his mother had called him saying she knew the true face of her husband now and asked Tom to return as she feared for her own life now. Tom hadn’t even thought twice before running back home.
“Came to save your mummy dearest, son?” a voice said behind him as Tom felt a knock at the back of his head before falling down. The belt and kicks were quick to follow.

Max had finally reached Tom’s house and he heard the noises as soon as he stepped at the front door. The door was locked and Max decided against knocking as he walked around trying to see if he could see anything going inside. When he finally spotted an open window, Max tip toed to it and gasped as he saw Tom’s step dad hitting him. Quickly pulling out his phone, Max quickly called Siva and in a hushed but frantic voice told the boy to get the cops at Tom’s house as quick as possible. He cut the call before Siva could say anything before he jumped through the window. Seizing the moment of surprise, Max was quick to hit Tom’s step Dad with a flower vase on the head knocking the man out.

Max stared at the man at his feet before Tom’s whimpers caught his attention. “Oh God, Tom. What did that man do to you?” Max gasped, crouching down next to Tom.
“My mum. Find her. She must be hurt too” Tom said.
Max was hesitant to leave the boy but he agreed nevertheless. He had taken only a few steps when he noticed Tom’s mum’s legs in the kitchen. The woman was unconscious with a head wound.
“Shit, we need an ambulance” Max mumbled to himself, fishing out his phone to call the ambulance.
Thankfully, Siva, Jay and Nathan had reached quickly with the cops.
“What happened here?” Jay asked.
“Where is Max?” Siva asked.
“Oh God Tom” Nathan gasped.
But Tom ignored their questions as he turned to Max, “my mum.”
“She is fine. You should go to the hospital. The ambulance is here” Max said, blocking the view as the medics raced to Tom’s mother’s side.
Tom reluctantly allowed the medics to take him to the hospital but only when Max was allowed to ride with him. And Max never mentioned that Tom didn’t leave his hand throughout the ride to the hospital and neither did he leave Tom’s hand for fear to lose his best friend.

The wait for any news concerning Tom or his mother had been very difficult for the boys.
“Why didn’t we ever notice it?” Jay cursed himself.
“He mentioned something about hating Dads when he was drunk but I didn’t pay attention to it” a teary eyed Nathan admitted as he tugged on Max’s arm.
“You couldn’t have known buddy” Max said, pulling Nathan in a hug.
“I hope both he and his mum are fine” Siva said earning a nod from the others.

Thankfully, Tom’s mum made it out of this incident and Tom also had a quick recovery with the help of his bandmates as his step Dad was jailed. After getting the whole story from Tom, the boys were feeling kinda guilty for not having seen the signs of abuse Tom went through earlier itself. But Tom was adamant that the fault was none other than his step Dad’s.
“You promise me that you would always tell me if anything is wrong from now on” Max made Tom promise him.
“I promise Grandpa. If I even get a scratch, I’ll let you know first” Tom chuckled making the others laugh too.

But the main thing that the boys realized out of this incident was that no matter how Tom tried to keep the façade going on, the truth had to come out one day. But thankfully, he can rely on his bandmates to get him out of this.

Tom believed that the eldest should be the one responsible for the whole band. They should take care of the band, be there for every of them and get them comfortable with each other. He was the prankster, the joker but it was just a means for him to get the boys loosen up a bit. He watched over his bandmates like a protective big brother. Big brother takes care of his little ones but they don’t burden their younger ones with their problems right?

Tom would always listen to the others if they had any problems. He would listen to when Max would talk about wanting an acting career, he would listen to when Siva would talk about his arguments with Nareesha, he would listen to when Jay would talk about his worried regarding his voice and he would listen to Nathan when he was homesick or just needed to speak to someone. But in his case, Tom never told the boys about his problems or his worries. That’s what big brother’s do right? They wouldn’t worry their younger ones.

Recently, at a concert, Tom noticed two men staring at him. Tom shrugged. It was uncommon for them to find boys amongst the group of teenage girls in the concert. Well, the majority of them were teenage girls, some had their boyfriends with them, there were moms too and others. Tom didn’t think much about the men but they looked weird. Unlike the crowd, they were silent and were sometimes looking around and sometimes looking at him. Tom contemplated telling the boys about how weirdly the men were watching him but he decided against it. He wouldn’t worry them or freak them out for such a little thing. He found Nathan looking at him and forced a smile so as not worry the youngest of the band.

As their concert was drawing to an end, Tom noticed that the men had disappeared. Think that maybe he was over reacting about them, Tom didn’t pay much attention to it. After the concert, the boys stayed back to chat with some of the fans as Tom excused himself to go pick up a call. As soon as he went backstage, Tom felt a hand over his mouth.
“Shh… Not a single sound, boy.” One of the two men that had been watching him throughout the concert said.
Tom struggled, trying to escape the man’s hold but that man was too big for him.
“Check his pockets, I told you I saw a phone and perhaps a wallet too in his back pocket” the other one, a bit shorter than the man that was holding Tom, said.
Tom’s eyes widened as the two men chuckled.
“What do you think boy? Your phone and wallet can’t be seen in those tight skinny pants” the shorter man laughed.
“We came here to steal from your fans but you were a richer target than them and you walked right in my trap.” The big man chuckled.
Tom tried to struggle harder as the men searched his pockets, took out his phone and fished out his wallet.
Waving the phone and wallet in Tom’s face, the men had a good laugh at Tom.
Frustrated, Tom bit the hand that was over his mouth.
Big mistake!

“Max! Boys!” Tom shouted as soon as the man took his hand off his mouth.
Glaring at Tom, the man punched him straight in the jaws.
“OW” Tom shouted, a hand over his face as he fell down.
Then started the torture.
“You bit me?” The man shouted, kicking Tom as his partner also joined in kicking Tom.
As if by pure luck, Tom heard the boys shouting for him.
He was about to shout back when he was pulled by one of the men who proceeded to hit his head against the wall, effectively knocking Tom out.
They dragged Tom to the supply closet, throwing the boy in and running away before someone could notice them.

“Tom?” Siva shouted, as they looked around for Tom.
“Are you sure you heard Tom shout for you?” Jay asked, for the fifth time now since Max dragged them away, saying they need to go look for Tom.
“Yes, I’m telling you. I heard him shout. He must be in some kind of trouble.” Max said.
“Then we must look for him and that also fast.” Nathan said.
Jay nodded, following the boys as they searched for Tom.
They had been searching for a while when Nathan shouted, “Boys, come to the changing room, quick.”
Running to the changing room, they found Nathan pointing to a pair of legs that was sticking out of the supply closet.
“Tom” Max gasped, recognizing the shoes that Tom was wearing.

They pulled an unconscious Tom out of the supply closet as Max instructed Jay and Nathan to go find Big Kev and tell him about the situation and to get the car quick.
“Tom…” Siva said, patting the boy’s cheeks to wake him up but Tom was out cold.
“We should get him to a hospital” Max said, pulling Tom up and trying to support half of his weight as Siva supported the other half.
“Max” Siva gasped.
Looking over at Siva, Max followed his gaze to see the bruises on Tom’s stomach and back.
“Check his pockets” Max said.
“Nothing” Siva replied as he patted the pockets.
Max nodded, telling Siva to keep walking as they took Tom to the car where the rest were waiting.

A quick trip to the hospital and a few minutes of waiting for any news concerning Tom after Tom had been taken in, they were led to his room.
“He’s been jumped and attacked, I think” the doctor explained, “He has a concussion since he suffered a knock to the head. Hence, why he passed out. And multiple bruises, which might be from kicks and punches and also a bruised jaw. Most likely, he took a punch to the jaw. I would say he got in some wrong hands.”
The boys nodded, each taking a seat next to Tom as they waited for the boy to wake up.

When Tom woke up, he noticed that he was in the hospital.
“Hey” Tom said, hoarsely as he saw the boys.
“Tom” Nathan sighed, giving the boy a hug, “Are you okay?”
Patting Nathan on the back, Tom said, “I’m okay, kiddo.”
“Says the man who has so many bruises and a concussion too” Jay said.
“Not my fault that I got jumped” Tom replied.
“Who were they?” Siva asked.
“Two men. I saw them watching me throughout the concert. Said they saw my phone and wallet so they jumped me” Tom said.
“When were you planning to tell us that some men were watching you throughout the concert?” Max asked.
Looking down to avoid Max’s question, Tom mumbled, “I have a concussion. I need rest.”
The boys chuckled as Max huffed, “of course he remembers his concussion right when he is being questioned.”
