Juggernaut and Black Tom Cassidy in Astonishing X-Men Infinity Comic #7 | Written by Tim Seeley, art by Edoardo Audino
Why do we ship Tom/Cain? - A Reading Guide
Cain Marko and Tom Cassidy are X-Men affiliated characters from Marvel comics. Full reading lists for each characters can be found by clicking on their names in the previous sentence. The two are officially a platonic partnership but as the two are deeply connected, openly physically affectionate, have essentially coparented, and try to share their powers with each other....they are often seen as a romantic couple. But don't just take my word for it- read their story yourself!
Below is a complete list of their mutual appearances (some with issues for just one character added for context)!
Chapters: 3/3 Fandom: X-Men (Comicverse) Rating: Explicit Warnings: No Archive Warnings Apply Relationships: Black Tom Cassidy/Cain Marko Characters: Black Tom Cassidy, Cain Marko Additional Tags: small child Theresa Cassidy, Period-Typical Homophobia, Internalized Homophobia, Secret Marriage, Handfasting, Background the Troubles, Syncretic Faiths, Marriage Proposal, 1970s, Inaccurate Catholicism, Praise Kink, Submissive Cain Marko, Sexual Content, use of honorifics during sex Summary:
“A strange unserviceable thing,/ A fragile, exquisite, pale shell,/ That the vast troubled waters bring/ To the loud sands before day has broken./ The storm arose and suddenly fell/ Amid the dark before day had broken./ What death? what discipline?/ What bonds no man could unbind/ Being imagined within/ The labyrinth of the mind?/ What pursuing or fleeing?/ What wounds, what bloody press?/ Dragged into being/ This loveliness.” - The Only Jealousy of Emer, William Butler Yeats ----- In Mayo, Tom takes Cain and Terry to mass each Sunday. Every. Sunday. Cain has never learned so much about the Bible in his entire life. And he’s never been more confused about religion either. Tommy takes him to mass and they sit together, and sometimes when Tom goes up to receive communion he puts Terry on Cain’s lap. And Cain is sure that the little old ladies who coo over Terry’s curls and her pretty Sunday dresses know that they’re together. Tom had told them all that Cain was a good friend who’d needed a place to stay while recovering from “a heartache” (what a way to talk about his family life), and had carefully assured them that “though he is a prod, I can assure ye, it’s only cause he’s American.”

Does God Want You to Question Christianity? | Part 1
What if asking hard questions about Christianity is not a sign of doubt, but the start of real spiritual growth? In this first part of Unveiling Christianity, Tom Cain shares his personal path from a Catholic upbringing to agnosticism, and later to a deeper spiritual awakening.
Raised with fear, guilt, and strict church teachings, Tom began to question ideas about sin, heaven, hell, and a loving God. His search led him beyond religion and into a wider view of life, soul, and consciousness.
This video is for anyone who wants honest answers, clear thinking, and a deeper look at faith. If you have ever wondered about God, the soul, or what happens after death, this conversation invites you to reflect, explore, and open your mind to a bigger truth.
