How do you feel about IronThunder?
excellent question. i love them. i love them so much, especially after the alt-2012 timeline in endgame, i feel like they’ve got even more potential.
i love how soft thor gets when he’s with someone that he cares about, and it’s something that i feel like tony desperately needs – for someone just to be gentle with him. and at the same time thor is fiercely protective and would move heaven and earth for his significant other, which, again, is something that tony needs and deserves.
i like thinking about thor bringing tony to asgard and showing him around. thor introducing tony to all the tech advancements they have in asgard that will still take earth centuries to catch up. thor would have no doubt that tony would be able to learn and adapt to asgardian tech quickly. and tony would thrive there, tbh.
beyond asgard, imagine thor taking tony to other realms and planets. to nidavellir, where tony can watch as the universe’s best blacksmiths create weapons using uru, an element that tony never could have even dreamed of. to xandar, where its society isn’t so different from earth’s, so if tony’s feeling a little homesick but earth is too far away, thor can bring him there.
thor introduces tony to his parents and frigga is welcoming as always. a maternal figure that tony didn’t realize he needed after his own mom passed away all those years ago. odin’s a hard ass, as always, but tony wouldn’t be afraid to stand up to him, and i’d like to think this wins odin over as well.
and tony can balance thor out when he needs it. someone to call him out when thor’s being stubborn and bullheaded. but also tony genuinely cares about thor’s wellbeing and wants to look after him when he sees that thor’s being self-destructive. tony would try to make thor’s time on earth as comfortable as possible. he’d introduce him to what his world has to offer. all the different cuisines, all the cities that they can travel to and experience the different cultures. he turns thor into a huge movie buff as well, and soon enough even thor is in on all of tony’s random pop culture references. with tony’s help, he gets caught up on earth culture, and soon enough, he doesn’t feel so much like the alien so many people labelled him as anymore. tony reminds thor that they’re all just a bunch of misfits, and that he loves how different thor is, how much he’s experienced, how he plays himself off as kind of dumb sometimes when in reality he’s wiser than almost everyone else tony knows. because after four decades of seeing the same old shit in all the people he meets, thor’s a breath of fresh air.
and like, not to mention their superhero powers combined is just. off the charts??? amazing. thor’s lightning helps boost tony’s armors energy levels so tony hardly ever has to worry about running out of juice in the middle of a fight. they do crazy maneuvers in the air together and it’s like watching synchronized swimmers, but, you know, in flight instead of in water. thor often hangs out in tony’s lab with him and offers advice and suggestions on how to improve everyone’s gear, and tony appreciates thor’s different perspectives on how things can work.
and sometimes, when they feel like it, they just go flying together. just because they can. it’s always an amazing adrenaline rush and by the time they land they’re so pumped up they gotta work off that pent up energy somehow. yeah. sex. i’m talking about sex. they have incredible, electrifying sex. pun absolutely intended.
