WHY IS HICCUP TREATING TOOTHLESS LIKE A PET.
Why does the dialogue read like Hiccup is talking to a dog and not his soulmate? Why does he use pet-ish commands with him at the end of the film? Why does their bond feel so forced?
WHEN did they click? WHY did Forbidden Friendship feel so numb? WHERE are the emotions?
I'm not kidding. I felt nothing watching the Forbidden Friendship scene. Now, the original scene? Doesn't matter how many times I watch it, every single time it's glorious. The recreation just... happened and suddenly I was expected to care. By the time Romantic Flight was happening, I literally felt myself questioning where and when Toothless and Hiccuo had actually bonded. Where had I missed it?
The separation scene in live action THW is going to mean nothing. It is going to feel like nothing. Because Toothless means nothing.
