How religion has made Prince even more crazy
If you ask anybody that knows me and had them them name my favorite musical artist. They would all tell you the same answer. It is none other then Prince!
Prince Rogers Nelson was born on June 7, 1958. Usually just known as Prince, he is an singer, songwriter, musician, and actor. Prince has produced ten platinum albums and thirty Top 40 singles during his career.
Prince has had so many amazing songs over the years as well as written tons of other ones for many popular artists. Some of these songs are "When you were mine" (Performed by Cyndi Lauper) and "Nothing Compares". (performed by Sinead O'Connor)
It blows me away that he has turned absurdly religious. Years ago most of his songs were very sexual in nature. I wonder how many people realize his song Little Red Corvette was about a vagina?

Prince became a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses in 2001 following a two-year-long debate with friend and fellow Jehovah's Witness, musician Larry Graham. Prince said he didn't consider it a conversion, but a "realization"; "It's likeMorpheus and Neo in The Matrix", he explained. He attends meetings at a local Kingdom Hall and occasionally knocks on people's doors to discuss his faith.[114] Prince has reportedly needed double-hip-replacement surgery since 2005 but won't undergo the operation unless it is a bloodless surgery because Jehovah's Witnesses do not accept blood transfusions.[115] The condition is rumored to be aggravated by repeated onstage dancing in high-heeled boots.[116] However, when Prince was interviewed in 2010, journalist Peter Willis said he believed the rumors of Prince needing double hip surgery to be unfounded and untrue as Prince appeared to be agile.[100]
First of all I don't care how anti religion I am. If Prince knocks on my door and asks me to check out his church. You can bet your sweet ass I'm gonna go just so I can hang out with him. Also I know the Matrix can be kind of confusing to some people but there absolutely no way in hell that the Jehovah's witnesses are anything like it! What I am really worried about is the fact that Jehovah's Witnesses refuse blood transfusions. That is down right scary and dangerous.
It boggles my mind that he has gone from singing "Pussy Control" to being offended by swear words said in his presence. The Jehovah's Witnesses have been ridiculed for many things by other religious groups. I honestly can't express how silly his faith is compared to the other groups because I think they are all illogical.
Naturally, a lot of people will give me crap and say Prince was crazy before he got hardcore into religion. I would be inclined to agree under the terms that a good chunk of it was show business and his oddness was a positive, fun crazy.
More or less I just wanted to point out how religion can make crazy people even crazier. Its also probably why he hasn't had a decent album past 2001. Regardless of any of it he is still "His Royal Badness" and is one of the best musicians that has ever lived.
