Top 10 Favourite Movies: Number #7 - The Land Before Time
While I am only listing the first movie here, the entire franchise of The Land Before Time defined my childhood. I really cared about these 5 little dinosaurs.
While I loved all of the movies, I personally think that the first movie was it's strongest entry. The more serious atmosphere contrasts greatly with the light-hearted singing that is presented in the later films.
I really love how the movie opens with Littlefoot hatching from his egg. It feels like we grow with him as he ages, and I think this makes his mother's death that much more emotional. The death of a mother is very powerful in children's movies, for the target audience is generally still greatly attatched to their mothers. I think this movie handled it very well.
I also love the dynamic between Littlefoot and Cera. It truly feels like a brother and sister dynamic, and although I disliked Cera as a kid bevause she was unfair to Littlefoot, I still felt sorry for her after she was seperated from her parents.
The entire group dynamic of the five dinosaurs is what really makes this movie though. Each dinosaur feels distinct, has their own fears and character arcs, and they bounce off eachother in a natural manner.
I think this movie really presents the message of hope. The beginning of the film is bleak. The land is barren, Littlefoots mother dies, and the children are seperated from their parents. But these kids still have hope, and none more than Littlefoot. He never once gave up, and it's because of this that the five dinosaurs made it to The Great Valley.
I would watch these movies over and over as a kid, and they are all very special to me. Part of me feels like I grew up with these dinosaurs, and in a sense, that's true. Anyhow, that's why I believe this movie deserves a spot on my list.
I don’t know if someone has already said this but YouTube Rewind 2019 tried to pull off a Sonic The Hedgehog, where they make their new version better than before but they failed miserably. Like, at least the people making the Sonic movie listened to everyone. The people at YouTube were just like,
“Oh...you don’t like my stuff? Well, I’m sorry you don’t like it so here’s a bunch of stuff that you could find on Wikipedia or a top 10 list.”

#5 - Brooke Lynn Hytes: I would climb the Queen in the North like a tree. And then I would beg her to get back with Vanjie because I will always be a proud #Branjie shipper.
#4 - Raven: Season 2 boy Raven really did it for me, okay? I haven’t seen any recent photos of her out of drag but I 100% related with that guest judge who was getting all hot and bothered while talking to her. Plus a nice honorable mention would have to be season 3 boy Raja. I would let the two of them Toot and Boot me any day if you get my drift.
#3 - Milk: Yes he talks too much but just sit on his face and he’ll shut the fuck up. He is fucking HOT.
#2 - Kameron Michaels: This man is the definition of #Daddy and I will fight you if you say otherwise. I would legit let him crush me with his biceps. Is that going too far?
#1 - Katya Zamolodchikova: OKAY HEAR ME OUT! I’m aware that there are queens on this list that are subjectively more attractive however, I still stand by my opinion that Katya is hot AF both as a man and as a woman. Also, if you didn’t already know, she used to hook in drag PLUS she’s super flexible so you KNOW she knows her way around the bedroom. Full disclaimer: I know she has herpes but let’s just pretend that doesn’t exist for a moment because if this self proclaimed Russian bisexual transvestite hooker gave me the time of day, I’d be all over that shit. Throw boy Trixie into the mix and it would be even better. Also yes, I am in therapy, why do you ask?!
Top 30 Movies of 2018 #25 - Daphne & Velma Being a fan of Hanna Barbera and various other cartoons I have joined various Hanna Barbera and other cartoon related groups to share my love of the things. And my intended mental sanctuary from the cruelty of the Trump administration for whatever reason squews towards old conservative dudes and a very specific woman from the UK who has internalized misogyny and thinks of the superhero garage band The Impossibles as a boy band. So anytime DC/WB makes Snagglepuss gay or tries to widen their audience by making things more diverse, shitheads in these groups lose their fucking minds. So it should come as no surprise that the trailer for D&V was met with vitriol. How dare WB try to get young girls to become. How dare WB cast Daphne as a girl of color. People who were not the intended audience for the project were horrible. Velma is played by one of the daughters on Tim Allen's horrible Last Man Standing and Daphne now stars on the CW's awesome Charmed reboot. Part of the plan for this 5th live action Scooby Doo movie is to skip the cost of the CGI Scooby, and so they didn't break the budget w/ special effects. The story is fairly predictable but the job is to not confuse the short people audience.
