She definitely does believe in free will and that, as a whole, people are free. This is largely informed by her own life choices and her abilities. Lucy, as a human, was able to perform grand and previously impossible feats just by her own willpower. She has made good and bad choices along the way in her life, from demon pacts to making a best friend through a gift of the boons she was freely given. While there are certainly situations where all outcomes are not good, she very much believes she has been free to make those choices. In the gang's timeline she is more than certain that it exists otherwise how would there be any realm where they can stop what is threatening them?

She is hypocritical. I won't say majorly, but she definitely is. Despite preaching pacifism and extoling the virtues of not confronting beings with a lot more power, she has a habit of doing just that. Similarly, while she constantly tries to practice empathy and encourage others to do so, she rarely has second thoughts or regrets about her more gruesome acts. She does realize this about herself. It is not a constant battle, but she does her very best to employ her own advice, but she reasons it fails so often because she does have scenarios she can no longer recuse herself from by virtue of her job and if she has tried to keep you alive and you insist on trying to make that impossible for her then she has to make a hard choice. Her guilt is secondary to the peace and safety she is trying to accomplish.

Yes - but a lot of that is his hunting method and a trauma response. It's just his go to way to interact with people. He's the same but worse when he actually likes someone

Hoo boy, does he. He is an elbow clinger, arm toucher, waist holder. Again, it's a lot of having been given little person space in the past, and getting close to targets
