we haven’t gotten to planning the Battle Nexus saga yet but given Ranmaru is a little more competent of a fighter than canon Mikey, I have a feeling he will be :)

(I don’t think Shredder or Karai knows about the battle nexus in canon. Or even what the fuck it is. so there’s every chance Kojiro is just fucking around with a dimensional portal maker that sends them there)

Torn Apart notes part???

Ranmaru uses nunchaku like his canon counterpart and tonfas as backup. He’s also pretty scrappy with his fists in a desperate situation.

Kojiro uses a tech-bo a bit like Rise!Donnie does, though it’s a bit more complicated given his access to Foot technology. He’s also adept with a naginata and various other polearms.

Both of them incorporate a bit of orange and purple into their fits, though neither know or understand why.

Ranmaru: Who wants to make fifty bucks?

Karai: How?

Ranmaru: I need someone to take the fall.

Karai: What did you do?

Ranmaru: I can't tell you. Yes or no, no questions asked.

Kojiro, from the other room: Oh my god.

Ranmaru: ...

Kojiro: OH MY GOD!

Karai: Make it a hundred.

Ranmaru: Deal.

given the original concept for Torn Apart is almost 20 years old at this point (first thought of and written in 2006 in the now defunct original Stealthy Stories forum) I still have old art on my ancient DA profile that I no longer have access to.

These are from back when the original fic idea was something caused Don and Mike to run away from the sewer and be adopted by Saki from there, so they still used their original names. The version I’m writing now is retooled and rewritten but they still look very similar to their concept counterparts, though go by different names.

(I also am lazy and cannot be fucked to try to draw turtles again after 20yrs. young adult me could.)
