17. holding the other’s chin up, for Mavasha and Quinn? 🥺💜
I had to draw and write for this one! These two are so cute 🥺
Thanks for sending an ask! I hope you like it! 💛
Malavai had been wandering their home aimlessly for hours. The clicking of his shoes echoed and their 2V-R8 unit watched him pace. He went downstairs, to the landing pad, back up, to the bedroom to see his child still sleeping soundly, then start over. If it were possible he was sure there would be a sizable groove in the floor marking his pattern, worn away by his walking.
"Master Quinn, might I suggest you wait in your office for the lady to get home?" The droid spoke up at last. This briefly stopped the officer and he looked at 2V with worried brows and a frown. "She has been gone for far longer than I calculated. Her and that apprentice of hers should have been able to clear that location within three hours!" Malavai argued. "With the hyperspace travel time they should have arrived back here exactly five hours and twenty-seven minutes ago!" With that said, the pacing continued.
He normally didn't worry this much. Mavasha was the strongest sith he knew. She was the emperor's wrath. But she was also carrying their second child. She shouldn't have even gone out with Hisk'ash and Vette to do that job.
The man's frustrated thoughts came to an end when he heard the front door slide open and the sound of Vettes excited yammering filling the house.
"-and then you struck that guy down! You two are amazing!" She finished her story as Malavai met them at the entryway. The twi'leks mood turned slightly more sour upon seeing the officer, but she feigned a smile anyway. "Oh, hey Quinn. Where's my godbaby?"
"She's down for her nap in her room" he frowned, then he watched as she got on her toes to give the Cathar apprentice beside her a kiss and run off to see young Yavasa.
"Darling, you should have seen how well Hisk'ash did today." Mavasha boasted excitedly. The tall male blushed under his dark fur.
"You give me too much credit, Master." He replied with a slight bow of his head.
"Oh hush. You know I only give credit where it's due. Now off with you, go clean up while I see to my husband." The woman waved her hand dismissively. The cathar fully bowed in respect, then left to do as she said. "Now, you look frazzled, my love. Whats the matter?"
Malavai was beside himself. How was it not obvious? "What's the matter?- Mavasha, I have been worried sick! Not a single call and you were gone-" he looked at the time quickly before continuing his rant, "five ours and thirty-two minute longer than expected-"
His wife raised a brow at him. "I dont recall you being this... let's say worried... before" she replied.
The officer's blue eyes shifted and he let out a heavy sigh of irritation. He knew what she was thinking. "I am not being possessive, nor am I meaning to control you, my lord... but" another sigh, this time more deflated than heated. "You announced your pregnancy with our next child nearing a month ago. You should be home, out of danger. We cannot risk this. Early as it may be you are bound to start losing energy... and it's taken so long for us to produce just one child much less two... I don't want to risk anything..." his balled fists relaxed as his frustration dissolved back into worry. "And if you have a bout of exhaustion from the pregnancy... as capable as Lord Hisk'ash may be, I don't trust him to hold his own against your enemies. I don't want to lose you either."
Mavasha watched her husband release all of his feelings with a rising sensation of guilt, a rare feeling for her. It wasn't often when Malavai admitted his feelings or his wife's mortality. He had been through enough with her to know she usually beat impossible odds, so his worries were typically unfounded, but this time she really hadn't been thinking. She gently reached out and caressed Malavai's jaw.
"My sweet, passionate husband..." she began and lifted his chin with a tender touch so his eyes looked into hers. "I apologize for worrying you.. We got caught up with a request made by a fellow sith while we were planetside. I should have called you."
"Or at least have taken me instead of the twi'lek. She could have watched Yavasa for a few hours." Malavai added. "I just don't want something to happen to you and our unborn child without me there to at least try and protect you. I can calculate the odds, be prepared for fatigue, make sure you're getting what you need. I know this is your duty as not only a sith, but the Emperor's Wrath. So I cannot, and will not, stop you from doing it, but I can at least help you be safe."
The torguta nodded. "You're absolutely right, my heart. Next time I am needed I will bring you, that's a promise." She assured him and leaned down to press their foreheads together. "Now, what can I do to make up for the stress and panic I've caused you?"
He was silent, though she could sense his emotions in the force. Waves of anxiety, relief, frustration, and concern crashing into each other. Instead of answering her right away, he slid his arms around her and pulled her close. "I'm just thankful my family is safe another day." Came his response at last.
Mavasha smiled softly and smoothed his hair. "And we will be for many days more. I swear that to you." She mumbled. "I love you Malavai. And next time I agree to something that would be dangerous to myself and our baby, you have permission to speak, Captain."
A small scoff of a chuckle came from the shorter male and he looked up at her. "Even if I didn't have permission, I think I would tell you anyway. Not as your Captain, but as your husband." He claimed. "But... Thank you, my love, for hearing me out. Even if I didn't give you much of a choice."
"You know I value your wisdom, Malavai, no matter the subject." Mavasha purred before meeting him for a soft kiss.
He couldn't help the smile her statement caused. She always knew how to calm his nerves and ease his worries. Once they parted the two followed his pacing pattern to check on their daughter with Mavasha's arm linked to his own. Safe and sound.
Waist: Possessiveness/"You are mine." (from a certain LSSJ..)
The weight of his large hand around her waist surprised her. She locked her legs to keep herself from striking in defense. Attacking would mean instant death. The kirinite paused once she realized there wasn’t any pain. He simply touched her and with it the startling message became clear. Her heart leaped to her throat, and her face burned. Cautiously she stepped away from his reach and turned to face him. “And what makes you think I would simply accept that?”
I chose both with Arianness and Noshiir, hope you like it!
Arianness had spent the day out doing smuggling runs non stop as she waited for Toovee to contact them about her boyfriend's recovery from their last run together. It wasn't life threatening that she knew of, but he had been knocked out for over two days after an escape gone wrong against pirates. He had gotten a hard hit on the noggin and a couple of scrapes after a rough jump into hyperspace and hadn't woken up since. Toovee got the poor man into a kolto tank, but the waiting was the worst part.
"Hey, pinky" chasaadia greeted her captain as she sat up front with her. "How are you holding up?"
"Im fine" the Twi'lek responded. "A little worry won't stop me from making credits. Also, Noshiirs skull is resilient. He'll come through. I know he will. That thick skulls gotta be good for somethin." The captain smiled at her friend, but that weak chuckle was less than convincing.
"You mask your concern with humor." The large nautolan crossed her arms and gave an unamused look. "And you keep your nerves in check by working."
Arianness scoffed "what in the galaxy makes you think that, Red? Suddenly a psychology expert, are ya?" Her curt reply got no answer, so she stayed silent as well. Her hands ran over the steering console and she sighed. At one point she would have been happy to be rid of the man, but so much had changed since then and she missed his stupid jokes and his silly smile. The ship was quiet without the sounds of his tinkering echoing throughout it.
"Talk to me, Ari." Chasaadia demanded in a sisterly tone once the silence became too much. "I'm not some meathead. I know you're upset."
The smaller woman's purple eyes glanced at Chasaadia, then back down at the console. "Do you think he'll be alright? He hit his head pretty hard." Was all she could think to ask. Realistically she knew her friend had the same knowledge of Noshiors condition as she did, but the reassurance was all she needed.
A numbing silence filled the ship, then the nautolan took a deep breath. "I gotta admit, he took a nasty spill, and there was a pretty gnarly amount of blood." This earned her a sharp look. "But, I trust my Toovee with my life, and I sure as hell trust him with Noshiirs. He's in good hands." Despite how her response began, her gentle smile comforted Arianness. The Bounty hunter never was good woth being gentle, so this was surely the best she was going to get.
"Thanks Chassy. I should really put more faith in Toovee. Hes patched us up in much worse circumstances. Im sure Noshiir will be okay... I just need to not think about it"
The other womans large hand pat Arianness's shoulder "Then let's go make some credits. Toovee will call when that bonehead wakes up."
With a nod, the captain jumped to hyperspace to go to their drop off on Tattooine. Right out of the spaceport there were Jawas swarming to try and trade, which the Captain denied and Chasaadia threatened if they got too close or too rowdy. Couldn't risk the shipment being stolen or damaged.
Both women kept some wraps over their heads to avoid the heat in any way they could until they made it to the Cantina, where they finally met up with their contact, who looked seedy, but had the credits.
"Alright so you can count it. All the blasters and stims you ordered are in there." Arianness said. As the man counted, her communicator began to go off. "Chasaadia, take over for a sec." She stated before getting up and answering the call. Toovee was a relief to see. "Oh thank the force- how is Noshiir?-"
"I am pleased to tell you that he is awake and functional. He still needs rest, but everything seems to be in order, so whenever you're ready to come home-"
"We'll see you soon!" Arianness grinned from ear to ear before hanging up "He's awake, Chassy! Lets go!" She called and rushed out of the cantina before getting any response.
"He hasn't paid!" The hunter argued and watched the younger woman leave with a grunt.
"Well, guess I dont gotta pay, then" the client smirked, but was quick to change his mind when a blaster was shoved against his nose.
By the time the Nautolan was back on the ship, her captain was already getting it started up and ready to go. "So,what happened to 'a little worry won't stop me from making credits'?" She asked with a frown. "You almost didn't get paid for that shipment."
"I lied. C'mon, red. You knew that" Arianness said woth a shrug. "Now strap in. We're going home."
"Im taking a bigger cut from this one, you idiot." Chasaadia sighed again and sat down beside her "and I mean that in the most loving way."
Those purple eyes looked at her playfully as they left the space station. "I know. And you deserve it, take what you want."
This surprised the hunter, but she decided not to mention it. Arianness used to care more about a missed score or being ripped off. Her love for the zabrak had changer her priorities for the better.
The ride home was relatively quiet as Arianness was so focused on getting there fast. The moment they entered the atmosphere of Alderaan she was practically buzzing with joy.
"I've never seen you like this" Chasaadia finally said. "So happy. Its nice."
The captains cheeks flushed bashfully "oh- thanks Chassy... I'm just relieved he's okay- I mean... aren't you excited to see Toovee?" She asked as the ship was brought in to land in their hangar.
"Of course I am." The other scoffed. "But you're like a little kid on life day."
Arianness huffed and shut off the engines "I'm just... going to be happy to see him walking around again, you know?... it was my carelessness that caused his injury. I could have lost him, kinda puts things into perspective. Helps me appreciate what we have even more."
There was a brief silence, then Chasaadia chuckled fondly and stood up. "Sap." Was all she said as she walked to the airlock.
"Hey!" Arianness frowned and followed her "shut up."
They stepped off the ship to see Toovee waiting for them. He was instantly fretting over Chasaadia, as he always did after their runs. The Twi'lek waved to him as she rushed up to the medical bay, where Noshiir was standing up on shaky legs.
She smiled at the sight, but also worried since she knew he probably shouldn't have been walking yet. "And what are you doing out of bed, mister?" Her tone was like a mothers as she approached him to look the poor man over. He had fresh bandages on his head and stomach and a few bruises on his red skin. His hair was up in a messy bun, leaving some of it hanging over the right side of his face. Despite it all, Noshiir looked up at her and gave her that million credit smile.
"Damn... youre a sight for sore eyes, Captain." He said. "When Toovee said y'all were coming home i thought I'd greet you but... uh... yeah I only made it this far."
She sighed and put his hands on her hips "Put your weight on me, can't have you falling and hitting your head again, you goof" Arianness chuckled a little and held his face in her palms softly. "Nice to see those blue eyes again..." she brushed the strands of hair from his face and curled it behind his ear. "Im so sorry you got so hurt... I should've been more careful."
His brows knotted "What? Darlin.... this wasn't your fault, shit happens. I'm just grateful to be up and looking at your pretty mug again" he argued. The captain frowned and her pink cheeks tinted red.
"You flatterer." Came yet another sigh. "I love you.... never scare me like that again"
His weight shifted so their foreheads touched. "I love you too, but no promises. You know I'm accident prone."
Arianness snickered. There was truth to his words. He was clumsy and definitely drew attention in a fight. She gently guided his head lower to kiss his brow. "Then lay back down, clutz. I'll get you some lunch, I'm sure you're famished"
He smiled and relaxed into her touch before doing as he was told "Once I'm all fed maybe you can just.. lay with me a while?" He asked. The twi'lek smiled back at him and gave a small nod.

He couldn't believe they had been blindsided by the enemy. He was usually so focused, and she was usually more alert. With everything that had gone on with the hand, Baras, Mavasha training an acolyte of her own, and the war, they had gotten very little sleep. That must have been what had them so distracted. It was enough to allow the republic time to send a jedi, and a platoon, after them as they were heading back to their ship. He sent an alert and could only hope someone saw it. He would even be happy to see Vette at this point.
The current situation was looking grim as woman he loved was downed, struggling to get back up after a harsh beating from the Jedi who was trying to take her into custody. Her weapons had been knocked from her hands and the captain wasn't fairing much better. His blasters were somewhere far away from his current location and he was clutching his ribs in pain after getting grazed by some rifle blasts.
"Give up, Sith. You're beat. Come with us willingly and face justice for your crimes." The jedi insisted yet again.
Mavasha spat blood up at his face and curled in on herself in pain. "I'd rather die, you dog!" She growled. "I- ngh- refuse to be in republic custody!"
"My lord-" Malavai moved closer to try and aid her wounds. Seeing her in so much pain was torture. He stopped moving when he heard a gun raise and cock.
"Watch yourself, Imperial." The last standing of the Jedi's men hissed. "Youre lucky youre still alive." The soldier watched as Malavai fell back in line and kept still. "Good boy. You Imperial dogs are trained pretty well arent you?"
Malavai glared up at him through his lashes, then looked back over at Mavasha. She hadn't given up yet, but it wasn't doing her any good.
"You would rather die?" The Jedi finally responded to the sith, then brought out his lightsaber. "So be it. They said if you wouldn't come willingly, then we need to eliminate. Youve done too much damage to keep alive."
The captain's eyes widened as the man readied his stance for the final blow. In one swift movement, Malavai kicked out the soldiers right leg to knock him off balance and dove on top of Mavasha to attempt to soften the Jedi's blow on her. Realistically, he knew either way she would have died by this fools hand, but an irrational side of his brain demanded he give his every breath to protect her, regardless of how futile it would be.
He waited for a blow that never came, but instead heard the lightsaber strike another. When he looked up he spotted Mavasha's apprentice, Hisk'ash, had blocked the blow and Vette had the soldier at gunpoint.
"Don't you dare touch my master!" He large cathar growled as he began to fight the jedi without hesitation. While their crew readily fought their enemies, Malavai began to hurriedly care for the Torguta. He took off her armor and robe to address the largest wounds and give her a kolto pack.
"Quinn..." she mumbled as he frantically took care of her. "Am I dead?"
"What?" The man looked at her as if she had grown a second head. "Of course not. Thanks to your apprentice. And to a lesser extent, Vette." He glanced back just in time to see Hisk get the final blow on the Jedi attacker. He felt a wave of relief as the body fell to the ground. "Why on earth did you assume you were dead, my lord?"
She gave him a tired smirk, one he recognized even through the pain as her teasing grin. "Because... I've always dreamed of you ripping my robes off me"
Malavai's face heated and he quickly went back to work as he tried to ignore his own pain. "Now really isn't the time for crude jokes." He muttered "you nearly died. I almost-" he was quick to correct himself "We almost lost you, my lord."
The woman's expression softened and she weakly grabbed his hand. "Captain?... You threw yourself into the line of fire for me... though I would have died regardless. Why?"
He glanced back at the other two again to watch them clean up the mess and find the lost weapons. He didnt want to give her an answer, but he knew she would ask again later. "My duty is to serve you and if that means I must put my life on the line to potentially save yours, then so be it." He lied.
"Dont give me that." Her tired tone became harsh. "You were about to deny the Empire it's greatest and most loyal soldier..." she stiffened as he bandaged a particularly bad wound. "And for what?- I was on death row. You shouldn't have tried to save me."
Malavai finished with all of the worst of her injuries and administered a kolto pack to last her the trip to their ship. "What do you mean by that?" It was his turn to sound harsh. "You are the Empires greatest asset. Even the emperor himself couldn't hold a candle to your power." He then took her cloak and propped up her head with it. "I know I've done wrong in the past... but trust me now when I say that I will always put your life before my own. If I am to die young, I would rather it be no where else than by your side."
The sith lords heart swelled as she listened to her lover speak. It was rare for him to spill his feelings so openly. "Malavai..." she mumbled "I would kiss you if it weren't for our company..."
The corner of his lips quirked up in a small grin. "Later, my lord. For now, we have a kolto tank to get you into." The captain stood to greet their companions "Hisk'ash, impeccable timing. I will be sure to add yours and Vettes heroism to my report. We owe you our lives today."
"Oh goodie, a report!" Vette replied sarcastically, which earned her a rather frustrated look from Quinn. "Seriously, we're glad you guys are okay though."
"Thank you for protecting my master, Captain" Hisk said before gently lifting the other sith lord off the ground. She winced and cried out from the movement.
"Careful-" Malavai demanded and began to look over her to be sure no wounds had been too irritated by the movement "Are you alright, my lord?"
Through the pain, the torguta managed a small smile to reassure her lover. "Moving me was going to hurt regardless, Captain. I'll be fine thanks to my capable crew here." She said gratefully to all of them. "Lets get back to the ship, shall we?"
They all agreed wordlessly and began their trek to the spaceport. Malavai took one last look back at their attacker with a frown. Next time something like that happened, he would be ready.
The sudden collision itself wasn’t what made her stumble, rather it was the surprise of the touch. Eyes widened and ears pressed back into wild, layered hair, as her hooves clacked loudly to keep herself upright. A wider stance was what saved her from completely falling over. Eden shook her head, causing long bangs to fly over her face before turning towards the culprit. Surely that was no accident. “Hey!” She huffed, her tail lashed at the ground. “What was that for?”
Balia sighed as she leaned forward. Closing her eyes with contentment as her loofah was gently rubbed across her back. Back arching like a cat enjoying the best back scratches she’d ever had.
“Mmmm~ thank you Darling~!” she murmured and blissfully let him continue to wash her back and arms.
