A little Tpring - as a treat!
I think it's funny that Spock is generally viewed as a prudish killjoy when, by Vulcan standards, he's an outlandishly rebellious gigachad.
T'Pring saying she didn't want to be "the consort of a legend" was the kindest possible way to call Spock a controversial half-breed.
Despite wishing to fit in as a Vulcan, he admits to Jim that he doesn't want to go through pon farr- something that is apparently pinnacle to Vulcan tradition and Vulcan manhood (as per TOS). He actively denounces his desire to participate in Vulcan's crushingly heteronormative rituals in favor of flying around the universe with Kirk indefinitely. Theodore Sturgeon was a nuanced writer and tackled heteronormativity very well. Well this was going to be a Funny Haha but it segued back into my musings on Spock's sexuality. Therefore I will call this post a success
I’m a Literal Legend ✨
How funny would it be if T’Pring and Stonn’s kid just ended up joining Starfleet? Like a Spock megafan as well. Meet Sopek: the bitchiest bitch to ever bitch

More about Sopek to come on Star Trek: Eridani
I love them they should never get married
my friends' take on T'Pring isn't that she's uncool for what she did in amok time, but that she's perfect and Spock is a loser for rejecting her
