Feminists fucking infuriate me with their fearmongering and treatment of men as mere minions, but it’s utterly disheartening to see the traditionalist Right Wing setting up camp in the men’s rights movement.

We can survive a clash of swords and shields with misandrists, but Conservatism, especially traditional Conservatism, is a wasting disease that destroys from within.

I hope the men’s rights movement realizes this before the Tradcon disease drives away our women allies and destroys the diversity that has made the men’s rights movement an actual force to be reckoned with.

Some Hindu Mutts, Swamis and their "save daughter-in-law" songs!!

Though the Hindu scripture does not say so, many Hindu mutts / organizations and new age swamis have been singing this "... Save the daughter-in-law..." song !!!

They are still talking the anti-dowry language without accepting the fake Dowry / DV racket.

Except one or two exceptions like Swarupanand Ji , Asaram Bapu etc, I am yet to see others come out and openly criticize rabid Indian version of feminism or its detrimental effects on society. A good number of them do NOT EVEN acknowledge that it’s the women who are misusing the laws ...

The Elephant in the Room

There is something that has been on my mind for a long time. It's been plaguing my conscience since I knew of it's existence. I can't hold that feeling back anymore. I can't conceal from you what I feel is something so incredibly important.

There is somewhat of a hierarchy within the men's movement. I'm sure that some would see my inability to articulate my thoughts through speech as a sign of stupidity, but in reality I'm the type to think and listen far much more than I speak. So since I got involved with HBR I've been watching as a passive observer, often feeling that it was not my place to speak on certain matters, being so new and often as shy as I am.

First off this is really not concerning Honey Badger Radio, but is instead a criticism of AVFM. What I'm going to say might be construed as tone policing or a desire for censorship. That is not the case. What I'm going to say is concerning tact and the ability to conduct oneself as an adult in professional matters.

Watching the fall out with the separation between John the Other, Diana Davidson, and AVFM, I noticed some of this coming to a head. Secondly I'm going to say that I've never spoken with John or Diana, and that this really isn't about them either. 

What I want to talk about is the maturity of the movement. I've noticed that we really are moving to a better position than we were before. A lot of the aggression that was present among some parts of the movement has been dying down. Some would describe what's happening simply as growing pains.

I would say that in many ways AVFM and the movement as a whole is maturing as we place mature rational individuals in positions of authority. There are however people prone to emotion and irrational actions in the higher ranks. Some of them are capable of moving beyond that and have shown their capacity to act out of wisdom and a sense of personal responsibility.

Anyone who has been paying attention, knows what there among them are some toxic people, one in particular who I will not mention. Anyone wanting to dig around probably has an idea of who I mean. If you are a glorified professional troll and troll feminists for the sake of trolling them, then you aren't doing the movement any favors. There is a point where we have to put our foot down, and say that some behavior is unacceptable for those who represent the organization. 

I would go so far as to say that some of this argument about tradcons isn't actually about all tradcons, but instead one specific tradcon. To be honest I can count the number of tradcons I know of personally in the movement on one hand, and despite our differences in opinion, they have not been the trouble that this individual has been.

When you are sending veiled threats to our opposition, when you sabotage other staff members, when you manipulate others, you aren't helping. You turn something that is supposed to be about establishing and preserving human rights for men, into high school levels of drama. 

This nonsense needs to stop. It is not within my power to speak openly about this person. They are not rational or mentally stable, and they are a rather sore spot for many other people in the movement. So the very mention of how they are a problem would be a load of trouble for me. Yet when the rational folks are alone, there are whispers of dissent among us.

Even mentioning this puts me in a dangerous position and a battle with my own conscience. I could very easily stay quiet, and pretend that these actions are okay. I could pretend that I agree with what is undeniable harassment and threats against feminists online.

While fucking their shit up can be fun, it isn't always right. At some point we need to move beyond that and take the moral high ground. Even beyond that, is evidence that this person may be directly responsible for some of the infighting as of late. 

If we want to continue to mature and grow as a community, it's time to put some of our differences aside and work together. People have asked what I think about these issues, MGTOW, Tradcons, women in the movement.

Oddly enough this concerns all of them, so I'll state my position.

1. MGTOW - Great philosophy for the most part. However there is absolutism and hypocrisy taking hold in it. If you are co-habitating with a woman you are romantically involved with, stop dancing around the obvious. You are basically married. Stop pretending that this isn't what is taking place.

If you are men, telling other men how to live their lives, and those other men submit, that's not really going your own way is it? That's conforming to a standard. Going your own way is deciding what is best for you regardless of what other people think. 

Also if you are telling men in healthy marriages (key word healthy) that they are basically slaves, then you are really no better than feminists who said that to wives back in the 50's 60's and 70's. Let them make up their own minds. They will either come to your way of thinking or they won't.

There is a lot to be had from promoting this sense of independence in men. I would hate to see this go under due to absolutist bullshit and the distrust of women in general overwhelming their ability to think rationally.

2. Tradcons - I don't agree with them on most things. I'm not religious or conservative, and I think that the whole housewife/breadwinner thing doesn't really work out for most people. 

However there is a place where I weirdly agree with them. Families are the structure upon which societies are built. Before democracies, and feudalism, societies were built on strong family bonds.

That is what keeps countries together. It isn't just the birthing of new children, or the government structure. It is communities built around families. 

There has never been a nation built on people being perpetually single. There has never been a successful nation built solely on single parents.

The traditional family is bullshit, it's built on the concept of a nuclear family. Which is a relatively new concept. However families are important. All our research shows that stable families are best for raising kids.

Which conflicts a bit with the MGTOW ideal of never getting married. Which is why I can not argue that either position is best, but that people should go on whatever makes sense to them, and that we should definitely bring back tight knit communities.

3. Women in the movement - I would not argue that women are inherently bad. In fact I'd go so far as to say that anyone saying this is not only generalizing, but is being ethically irresponsible.

The moment that this argument comes up, is the moment that I question everything we've been trying to do. The best outcome is that men and women learn to live with one another with a sense of mutual understanding and respect. 

That said, I'm fine with women in the movement as long as they don't bring drama in with them. If you are going to pull highschool girl bullshit, you need to go. There is no salvaging it. You have to leave. 

There is no room for women doing the backstabbing crap, and being manipulative. I can say with confidence that this kind of shit hasn't been going down at Honey Badger Radio. AVFM is a different story. 

There is a place for women in the movement as long as they act like adults.

That said, thank you for reading this really long post. In conclusion I will say again that all this can be handled provided that we think rationally about our position and approach this like adults. Approaching this like an adult means that sometimes you need to agree to disagree and form truces. It is my hope that this is what happens, and that we continue to remove toxic individuals from the movement as we go.

P.S.: If AVFM staff are reading this, they should know that I am not approaching this from a sense of animosity. If they would bite the bullet and handle some of these things in a diplomatic way, there would be no need to do damage control as often. 

Sort these things out and you won't have to be constantly cleaning up the mess of irrational manipulators.

Also my opinions are my own and do not in any way reflect the opinions of Honey Badger Radio. I don't often criticize the movement, but I had to be true to myself and put my conscience at ease.

This is based upon my own observations and what I've come to understand about the structure of AVFM through conversations.

If I am wrong in this or have misrepresented what is taking place, feel free to set me straight and explain to me why this toxic individual has been allowed to keep their position time and again. Someone who continues to be a liability and reflects poorly on this organization.

It's hard to make fun of traditionalists because they don't get butthurt over anything. That is to say, see everything I said above? Their response to that is "and proud of it."

They know they're more obsolete than dinosaurs. They are unabashed chickenhawks, calling for war and for preserving Selective Service while themselves never having served. You call them out on this and they're like, "And?"

They don't give a damn; like feminists, they have institutional power and, even worse than feminists, traditionalists' response to criticism is the highly aggressive use of said power.

They're a bunch of unfeeling zealots who are getting worse as their numbers and popular support dwindle. But we Men's Rights people don't get up in their shit about it because they're quiet about dealing with us. Sometimes, like with the VAWA, they throw us a bone by working with us (thus further tainting our movement). These motherfuckers also work with feminists when it comes to porn and prostitution.

Get the pattern here? Traditionalists are unfeeling, single-minded zealots who are even more manipulative than feminists.
