They really had to stop meeting like this.
Kenta had been sitting atop of Nain when he’d noticed the other resting on the side of the path, but it wasn’t until he started guiding the Mamoswine with heavy leather reigns carefully wrapped around the pokémon’s tusks to go closer that he recognized just who the person actually was.
A small tug on the reigns caused the mammoth-like creature to stop in it’s tracks, and a gentle pat of appreciation for carrying both him and his belongings so far was given before the trainer cautiously hopped off in order to approach the fellow traveler himself.
“What have I told you about just laying around like that?” Kenta spoke as he stepped forwards, not bothering with the polite greetings that he usually put on for strangers. And while his tone seemed thoroughly unamused, the slight smirk curving at the corner of his mouth proved otherwise. Part of him was a little thankful to see a familiar face after exploring the region alone for so long, after all.
Incredibly frustrated didn’t properly describe Azin’s feelings towards today. For someone who wasn’t prone to getting himself lost he did a good job of it. The simmering resentment directed at the flimsy map scrunched up in his pocket had kept most of the trainers focus. Then the bumbling idiot wandered in on his furry elephant to disturb the peace of the forest.
okay maybe I need to cool down that sounded rude even in my head....
It was nice to see a familiar face, though, and by far wasn’t something he was going to turn down. The other trainer would hopefully be able to direct him in the right direction as well, being as he’s supposedly from the region. Anything was better then lying on the ground staring at the sky till he felt like walking again.
With a sigh the blonde looked up at Kenta, headache over the matter slowly dying. “I believe it was along the lines of ‘you shouldn’t do that’ but my memory might be a bit hazy on the reasoning.” Az managed to crack a smile, pushing himself into a sitting position as he faced the other. “What are you doing here? Doesn’t seem like a busy path.”
