How To Practice Effectively
Here are some tips I use to practice effectively and improve!
1. Minimize potential distractions
a. Turn off your phone and/or any other things that might distract you
2. Start out slowly or in slow motion
a. Repitition helps build coordination even if it’s incorrect
b. When you gradually increase speed you have a better chance of doing it correctly
3. Frequent repititions and breaks
a. Studies show many top athletes, musicians, and dancers spend 50-60 hours per week on activities related to what they do
4. Practice in your brain
a. Practice in your brain with vidid detail
b. Lots of studies suggest that once a physical motion has been established, it can be reinforced by just imagining it.
