Donald Trump is on one about "transgender animal experiments."

Trump is afraid of "trans mice" and I looked it up because I thought it was going to be something about how female mice will be spayed because variations of hormones can effect the results (which is a huge inconsistency in mice studies).

But no.

What they're studying is the effects of hormone replacement therapy on the muscular and skeletal systems.

Why is this dumb?

Because trans people aren't the only ones that take hormone replacement therapy. Women in menopause take it to level out their hormones. Cis-gendered people take it if their hormones are causing advocates health effects. Fuck even Cis-gendered athletes are forced to take hormone alterating medications to be within the limits required to compete.

These aren't "trans medications" they're medications that sometimes benefit trans people, but there's a lot of health issues that cis people may need that causes them to be prescribed this medication as well.
