Trans people have been here for a long, long, long time. While terms like “transgender” “transsexual” (outdated), “nonbinary”, “genderqueer”, etc. are all recent words in history. Trans people have historically existed in most societies in various ways (examples include third genders like two-spirit and Hijra). And sadly, along with the existence of trans people, comes the bigotry and hatred that freezes other’s hearts cold. There have been many cases of transgender individuals being harmed or even killed for simply existing and being their true selves. And I created this art piece to spread awareness of this.

I can't stand that my body isn't right, it's not mine. And I'm made so painfully aware of it when people misgender me, call me the wrong name.

At least it's getting better. slowly? Yeah, but it's getting better. And having a community of trans people online helps too, small things make it slightly less painful to be here.

mine was when I was 9, my dad gave me permission to finally use his computer for games and stuff, and I played a lot of online games that gave you the option of being a girl or boy, and I always picked the boy option, and it never really occurred to me why? until I was 10 I got my first phone, I discovered trans, and I thought it was a cool thing people could do, and then I remembered "Oh my god for the past 2 years you always want to be boys in games because you like the idea of being a guy better, am I trans??" and then at 12 I came out as transmasc!!
