unpopular opinion but I don’t think radfems should shun Emma Watson for finding the strength to extend an olive branch towards JKR, yes it can’t undo the damage she caused and yes it’s slimy of her and yes Joanne said she wasn’t interested in any apologies and it’s her right to refuse them, but the TRA community is already shunning Emma Watson for taking this *incredibly* neutral stance instead of wishing death upon Joanne and I don’t think there’s a better time to remind Emma how powerful female solidarity is. I fully believe that receiving support from radfems while being threatened and gaslit by TRAs was what helped fully peak JKR herself. With the hate Emma’s getting I just want her to know that she’s not crazy and she’s not alone, because otherwise she might walk back her support out of fear.
A lot of us were once TRAs who believed hateful things about TERFs because we didn’t know better and thought we were being good allies. I think Emma truly believed JKR was full of hate and is only now starting to realize she might have been too hasty in her judgement and deeply regrets it. And I sympathize with her for that.
One major bonus to all this Charlie Kirk stuff is that the left is finally starting to learn that alt-right TIMs are a very common phenomenon
