This was probably triggered by the song "pickles girl" that a trans woman initially shared on short form video platforms about how he feels dysphoric over not fulfilling common things he's seen in girls (such as enjoying pickles) that aren't necessarily feminine.

The whole TADC situation is actually insane and I’m pretty sure the creator (Gooseworx) was testing the waters with how tolerant people are to trans women explicitly abusing women.
Gooseworx himself has admitted that Jax enjoys abusing women and is jealous of women. Most TADC fans can and have acknowledged that Jax is jealous of the women in the circus, that he abuses, blackmails and gaslights them because of his jealousy and the simple fact that he hates women.
Gooseworx has confirmed multiple times that Jax is his self insert and the fans know this but how do they not make the connection that trans women are dangerous and abusive? The fans cover this up by saying he’s not a “good representation” of trans women while he quite literally is the most accurate and true representation of TiMs.

This is completely right, when non-trans people make stories about trans characters, they're always innocent and kind people who just want to change their names and be left alone. When a trans woman makes a trans character, they're a violent misogynist who tortures women and a self-insert. Tadc fans need to believe trans women when they tell you who they are.
It's also interesting because people were constantly saying the show had a queer creator, propping it up for being progressive but suddenly everyone's forgotten that when it comes to Jax. Nobody wants to admit what it means when a trans woman's self insert character is exactly like the "stereotype" people have been talking about for decades
Something similar happened with the webcomic "Boyfriends" which people hate because it portrays gay relationships in an unrealistic, fetishized way that feels more like something out of a trashy yaoi manga than a real depiction of a gay person's life. The reason why? The creator is a trans man, not a gay man. But everyone's acting like this is just a mysterious mishap that occured for no rhyme or reason
Eventually the conversation started to shift to be about how "queer characters don't need to be perfect representation, we shouldn't censor our true selves, uncritically accept everything, blah blah blah"
I suspect the same thing will happen with Digital Circus, people will start saying that Jax's story is just a messy part of the reality of being trans, not all trans people are perfect, don't question why a trans woman wrote a trans character abusing women out of jealousy and why so many trans people relate to it, nothing means anything
