May 2nd, 2026 is the racing event we’ve all been waiting for: the Kentucky Derby Iacon Derby 2026!! We’re celebrating any and all Cybertronian racers - whether they’re a Velocitron native or tearing up the racetracks on Earth, it’s their time to shine!
Event details:
This is a one day, casual event to celebrate the poorest, most maligned members of Cybertron’s population: famous racers. They need your support!
Five prompts are available to you as part of this challenge - pick the one that speaks to you the most, combine at will, or just stick to your own whims; the prompts are here to inspire, not confine!
Post a drabble, draw a doodle, or just write up some meta about who you think really deserves to win this race! Every little bit counts, and no participation is too small.

OCs are acceptable, and characters that are not ‘canonically’ Racers would also be acceptable, as long as your contribution still centers around the idea/concept of “being a Racer”. They need to live and breathe (vent?) for the racetrack! This is their career, and they’re not planning on retiring tonight!
🏇 There is no word limit for this event; feel free to post a 100 word drabble, or a 10k fic. Give us your doodles, your long-winded ramblings, your fanvids. Whatever this event inspires you to create, we want to see it!

Conventions are brilliant places to meet new friends, but the wait between them can be painful. Why wait until 2019, when you can meet new friends all year round?
Enter, TFNation: The Gathering. A new selection of social meetups which we will be rolling out over the coming year. Paying homage to the fandom's rich history of social get-togethers, these Gatherings will be free to attend events, where friends new and old can meet and socialise. They are a great way to bridge the gap between conventions, but also act as a first step for those wanting to meet like-minded fans before taking their first convention plunge!
Our first Gathering will take place on Saturday 6th October 2018, in London, England. Our base of operations will be the Penderel's Oak Weatherspoon in the Holborn area. You'll be sure to see us upon entering, but if in any doubt, just ask staff to direct you to the area reserved for the TFNation group.
If London is a little too far for you to travel, please feel free to send us your recommended locations for future Gatherings!
