i finally got cyberpunk (its on sale)

here's my v. he's trans. ive decided he's got a vocal implant that makes his voice so incredibly deep (bc i chose the masc voice) and its very funny with this starter outfit.

never played before and know next to nothing abt it so as soon as i find out if i can switch to third person im off to cyberpunkland

Alright, trying to pick my old Cyberpunk WIP back up, and need some brainstorming/feedback (for Phantom Liberty stuff)

To set the... canon divergence?:

Soulkiller only made a copy of Johnny, didn't kill him (blame for the bombing fell on Militech, so modern Johnny isn't known as a terrorist, although some speculate)

the chip stayed in Jackie's head, reviving him

So Jackie's dealing with construct Johnny and health problems, while V's been doing most of the legwork with a bit of help from semi-retired Johnny, and started dating him

Jackie's mostly been sidelined because the glitches keep making him crash out, but since Songbird reached out via the chip, he's the one that got into Dogtown and rescued Myers

They reach out to Hands, and get V access to Dogtown so V and Jackie can do some gigs like the old days (Jackie won't sit still and has been getting up to trouble, so at least V can keep an eye on him this way and have his back if anything happens)

Point being: V and Jackie have access to Dogtown, both are involved, Songbird only knows Jackie and is likely to use the relic to reestablish contact

Who should attend the party?:

1: V takes his normal route through the flooded tunnels, while Jackie sticks with Reed (V doesn't want him glitching out underwater, and construct Johnny isn't a fan either, since Mikoshi)

2: Johnny has to specifically request a last minute invite to the party. He either

a) doesn't get a plus one approved because of last minute vetting, but manages to get Jackie in as his 'bodyguard'. (If he can't get this officially approved, they have to weigh the risk Jackie'll get turned away at the door. Songbird would still recognise Reed and Johnny, but might struggle to contact them discretely while hostage without the relic.) V and Reed sneak in as usual, and V will say he's Johnny's plus one if confronted

b) does get a plus one approved. Everyone knows he's married to Rogue, V's still new, and fewer know they're poly, so it might be a generic plus one they were expecting to be Rogue, or V is approved under the belief Johnny wants to have a date with his affair outside Rogue's view. Jackie probably has to sneak in with Reed (Reed taking V's role), which would make V anxious, not being around to help if things go bad. He might turn down an official invitation just to have Jackie's back, or they convince him Reed is a professional who can take care of Jackie (except he won't actually be able to reach him if he glitches and crashes again)

c) V and Jackie get in with Johnny (highly unlikely, but probably the most enjoyable 😅). Reed doesn't have either to support him sneaking in (unless Alex also joins). He may try to push to take one of their spots, but that'll mean officially revealing himself to Johnny Silverhand — and Johnny'd shut it down anyways. Reed's not too happy Jackie keeps bringing more people in on FIA matters.

In any version of 2, Johnny now has access to Dogtown (unless Hansen revokes it, but not for Jackie or V?), and is involved. But I'd rather he not be an option later, and that it's really up to V, even when things get messy, and he considers backing out. There are still other reasons Johnny couldn't help, but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
