Small TransCDD tip I personally haven't seen talked about
When creating your alters, do it while you're under stress. Alters in disociative disorders tend to form under stressful situations, what that means is a big spectrum since it can range from a bit of anxiety (in low split tolerance systems like mine) to trauma resurfacing, big triggers, panic attacks or even new trauma.
So if you're not feeling too well, splitting another alter is the usual result, so this would allow for formation that feels natural to your disorder.
