Since it's #TransVisibilityWeek, here's some visible transgendering. Moving away from one gender is an awkward, fumbling process, but I think it's important to show it. Transition is a long game, measured in years. The days and weeks in the middle are often frustrating, as our goals for ourselves are still so far off. I know not everyone can be as public with their transition as I have, which is part of the reason why I have continued to post pictures of myself, even on awkward days. We need to be seen. For other trans people, for cis people, for everyone. Those of us who can be visible should be visible. Even on our rough days.
