PSA I’m pretty sure thebeautifulcatholicfaith and tradcatfem are the same person.
Everyone has been roasting TCF lately, for good reason, so I’d like to add my own two cents (though I hope I can too this without sounding too angry or hateful).
The main thing that rubs me the wrong way about blogs like hers is the emphasis on being traditionally feminine ALL THE TIME. I believe the Church’s teaching that there are two genders, so my personal leaning towards the androgynous does not change the fact that God created me a female. Occasionally it’s a struggle to identify as a girl, but I know that I am one and refuse to believe a modern lie.
And then I come across blogs like TradCatFem, which shame girls that aren’t feminine and perpetuate the idea that girls that don’t like ruffles or pink are somehow falling short of womanhood. This is really discouraging to me, because I’m doing my best fulfill my role in this world as a female, even though sometimes I don’t feel like I am one--and basically these blogs are telling me that I’m not doing enough.
Sometimes I wear men’s clothes. I hate heels, makeup, or anything that’s trying to make me look “pretty”. I’m a terrible cook, I have no interest in sewing, and I’m not sure if I ever want to start a family. But none of this changes the fact that I am God’s daughter. Stop supporting blogs that tell people like me otherwise.

I refuse to put up with this. @tradcatfem needs to be stopped. Yes Ginnie called you out and started all this discourse, but she was right to call you out. You are preaching things that we, as Catholics, do not believe. You are saying that the only way to be a good catholic is if you are traditional. You are telling women their only purpose in life is to have babies and please their husbands. Who are you to attack a person because they don’t agree with you. Not once has Ginnie ever used her mental illness as an excuse for anything. Ginnie is not abusive. As someone who has been abused before I can guarantee that what Ginnie says and does is not abuse. What @tradcatfem says and does is hateful and abusive. @tradfems has also called you out, in charity. But she was right to do that as well. Nowhere in her post was there any hate or lack of charity. Whereas the posts that you make, @tradcatfem, are hateful and rude. You literally always talk about your follower count any time someone starts to disagree with you. I can guarantee that these two beautiful human beings do not care about the amount of followers that have. YOU are always bringing up your follower count. You are always using hateful language. Yes Ginnie uses some “bad words,” but not once has she directing those words at another human being. You however have. (Remember that callout post where you responded then called her a bitch and then blocked her? or in one of your more recent posts where you started calling everyone who disagrees with you an idiot? Yea ad hominem doesn’t help your cause) As for the priest who decided to respond to the post Ginnie first made to call you out he was talking to you as well. Stop making yourself a victim. Stop trying to play innocent. We are right to call you out as you are acting like a child. I know there is a pretty decent chance that you won’t see this (as you have blocked me), but I also know you still follow up on some of the blogs you have blocked. Now to move on to you saying that PSOSA and TradFems are not Catholic. Why? Last I checked these two beautiful souls actually followed the church’s teachings and don’t spread lies and inconsistencies like you do. They are doing what God wants and bringing people closer to the church. You however are turning people away. You are teaching boys/men that it is okay to abuse their future wives. You are teaching girls/women that we are inferior to men. That our only purpose in life is birthing out babies and serving our husbands. You are telling women that it is a mortal sin for us to have jobs (it’s not by the way). You are telling women that they are to serve their husbands before all else including God. No, dear. We are all called to serve God first. Everything else comes second. Serving God is different for everyone. For one person it is a call to religious life, for another being a SAHM, for me it is being an EMT. You can’t tell me that my job is not serving God because I can tell you it is. You have no idea what I do and have to deal with in my line of work. I am here because God wants me here. He wants me to be there for these people who are having the worst day of ther life. He wants me to pray for these people when nobody else will. He wants me to be present with them and talk to them about God and his unending mercy. Not all women are called to be SAHMs. We are all different and there is no proper way to be a woman. Stop telling people that there is only one way to be a good catholic. Stop telling women they are inferior. Stop telling lies.
Last night the fire was lit! I had a saggar firing in a trash can for the first time (on my own) and was mostly successful. Who doesn't love a good fire 🔥?!? {🎶Natalia Lafourcade & Leiva - Slowly} #fire #saggar #ceramics #clay #alternativefiring #atmosphericfiring #trashcanfire #music #natalialafourcade
Just drew this on the bus to Boston. I rode there with the always cool Joyana McDiarmid and Josh Lees. We all got to Boston with our heads attached to our shoulders.
We're goin' green.
