made some artwork about trauma and DID. had to do it, just felt the drive to communicate something positive from something awful. text in the collage is from the 1965 movie A Thousand Clowns and can be read in full along side a bunch of alternative final drafts and element images under the cut. thank you and be respectful.

So, you took up work where you could get at as many of them as possible, and it just turned out there were too many of them and too much that moves you. But dammit, be glad it turned out you're not reasonable and sensible. Have all the gratitude you can that you're capable of embarrassment and joy and are a marathon crier."

"There is a kind of relief that it's gone, the job, and even ██████. But I know what it is, it's just irresponsible, that's all, and I don't have the vaguest idea who I am."

"It's just that there are all these ██████ running around who you've never met before, and that's confusing at first, fantastic... but dammit, isn't it great to find out how many ██████ there are? It's like those little cars in the circus, you know, this tiny red car comes out, hardly big enough for a midget, and it putters around, and suddenly, its doors open and out come a thousand clowns, whooping and hollering and raising hell."

thank you for reading all that it's a very important movie to me and I think this whole process was very cathartic in a positive way for me.

mom.. it hurts when you say this.. you know Shane struggles with being verbal. yet you want Shane to be vebral all the time. not to use nonverbal communication with others. to hide it. why? are you ashamed of me? you are.. i know.. system has to talk to you instead of me.. thats why no talk with you.. she doesn't understand. you make us feel bad for use AAC/TTS.. stop it.. - Shane
