I JUST FOUND AN ANCIENT RELIC, deep cleaning my room and found an old journal my 14 year old self wrote and she was deep in her trc bag (20 year old her still is as well) but this was the time period when the trc show was still going strong and her first note about her feelings were “i really hope they make gansey hot”

i'm not really one to participate in discourse but ever since the release of the show i can't help it. this series is just so dear to me and genuinely i cannot stand anyone having incorrect opinions about it lol. whether the issue is big or small i am the only person who knows wtf they're talking about lmao. like. no i don't think they should have changed the iconic monmouth kitchen/bathroom (and don't tell me it was bc that's just the set they were able to find they if had the budget for a helicopter they had the budget to install a toilet in the kitchen). yes i think the mini cereal box henrietta even though true to the books looks kinda shit. if you disagree with this frankly just block me first

BEATS. Between black screens we see different scenes: hands laying out tarot cards. A boy’s back, working over the hood of a car. A raven’s head cocking to the side. An old church (St. Agnes). A private school uniform tie being adjusted.

One of the black screens stops the montage, and we hear a voice.

GANSEY (V.O.)

What do you know about Welsh Kings?

(A more exciting beat)

BEATS. A flap of crows’ wings. The camera rises behind BLUE SARGENT’s head as she stares up at the abandoned church on St. Mark’s Eve.

GANSEY (V.O.)

There are legends I like to believe.

Private school boys running in the courtyard. A raven lands on RONAN LYNCH’s shoulder. We see only his tattooed back and shaved head right before it turns.

GANSEY (V.O.)

The legends that heroes like Llewellyn and Glendower and Arthur aren’t really dead, but are instead sleeping in tombs…

Hands splayed on a forest ground. Suddenly, a trailer park. Beaten-up converse running on the dusty road. The camera wraps around the runner’s legs and lands at the back of their head as they stop for a moment, staring back at a double-wide. The back of ADAM PARRISH’s head.

The SONG grows louder.

GANSEY (V.O.)

Waiting to be woken.

We end in the 300 FOX WAY READING ROOM, in front of GANSEY. It is the scene where he receives his death card reading. We see Gansey’s bowed head, only.

The screen goes BLACK.

NOAH (V.O.)

Don’t throw it away.

Gansey, back in the reading room. He is wearing a king’s crown. He looks up at the camera. Everything goes dark.

the raven cycle trailer that i would make if i could edit video:

we open on blue, staring out across the graveyard. neeve’s voice explains why blue would see gansey. the camera pans to gansey, all alone in the field.

the scene shifts to the windows of aglionby, shots of dusty halls, the camero, ronan’s bmw. there’s cabeswater and ravens and 300 fox way.

and interspersed are shots of blue walking to meet gansey.

some featured moments are gansey holding ronan back from a fight, whelk shoving his gun to gansey’s head, the end of the book strategy meeting in the kitchen, the boy’s first reading.

as the trailer goes on, the noises gets louder: close shots of punches, revved car engines, ravens screeching. adam screams “that’s not me, blue. what you saw, i would never do that!” after the dream tree. calla tells ronan “a lie killed your father, and you know what it was”. gansey says that he’s looking for glendower. ronan threatens declan. young whelk holds a skate board. gansey screams czerny. and then a single gunshot sends everything rushing into silence and darkness.

and in the quiet, “gansey. is that all?” “that’s all there is.”
