The Next Black

In this session, we discussed ' The Next Black' a documentary that narrates unconventional innovative stories about the next evolutions in fashion. Featuring icons such as Studio XO, BioCouture, Adidas and  Patagonia, the documentary addresses several lingering questions of the industry on subjects such as wearable technology and fast fashion.

The film covered pioneers like BioCouture, an agency who incorporates growing fabrics for their designed garments using biomaterial and bacteria. Another example is studio XO  one of the pioneers in designing interactive stage garments for celebrities such as Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas.

While watching this documentary I felt it is exactly aligned with our fashion course direction in DIDI. where we are getting prepared for the unavoidable coming shift in the fashion industry, as we the future designers will have to evolve our textiles and technologies of fashion design.

Ada undangan #seminar #TRENDFORCASTING yang bekerjasama dengan #BEKRAF . Jadi pas banger kaan... di satu sisi aku #Dosen #DesMod , di sisi lain juga dosen Manajemen #IndustriKreatif di #Fotografi PolMed. --- Alhamdulillah banyak dapet ilmu untuk di-share ke mahasiswa dan/ atau sesama dosen. Aku udah videoin dan bikin catetan juga hihihi. Juga ada info bahwa #ebook ttg trend forecasting ini bisa didownload gratis nantinya (masih dalam persiapan). Temanya : #Greyzone . Zona abu2 kayak #hootd daku hari ini lolz. Sayangnya kehabisan goodiebag nih, padahal ga telat2 amat juga datangnya. Tp Goodie Bag terbatas bgt pdhl sudah ketahuan jumlah pesertanya krn harus daftar dulu. Sertifikat juga ga bisa diambil di hari H. So, aku minta dikirim softnya aj via email.
