In this session, we discussed ' The Next Black' a documentary that narrates unconventional innovative stories about the next evolutions in fashion. Featuring icons such as Studio XO, BioCouture, Adidas and Patagonia, the documentary addresses several lingering questions of the industry on subjects such as wearable technology and fast fashion.

The film covered pioneers like BioCouture, an agency who incorporates growing fabrics for their designed garments using biomaterial and bacteria. Another example is studio XO one of the pioneers in designing interactive stage garments for celebrities such as Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas.

While watching this documentary I felt it is exactly aligned with our fashion course direction in DIDI. where we are getting prepared for the unavoidable coming shift in the fashion industry, as we the future designers will have to evolve our textiles and technologies of fashion design.
