@hauntsallmywhatifs said --> bash is told that thea is in the hospital.
Bash stops on the way up to her room at the gift shop and pays way too much for some flowers that are just gonna die in a couple of days anyway. He argues with the clerk the entire time he’s paying then he heads up the elevator to Thea’s room. She’s an actress, so he’s lucky he knows her -- security’s tight and she’s no even in here under her own name.
“Hey.” He says, holding the flowers out to her, leaning over the bed to check her out. “What happened? How come I had to find out from somebody else that you’re in here?”
@leschanceux sent --> [ OH MY GOD ] for a hug in response to one muse learning that the other’s still alive.
The phone call had come while Joel was in the middle of a visit with Marcus De Soto at the state penitentiary -- he didn’t listen to the voicemail until almost two hours later, in his car with the driver speeding to get back to Baltimore. The only thing Joel knew was that someone -- one of their guys -- had died, and he was terrified it was Kade.
Getting to the meet up spot by the warehouses on the dock proved a longer drive than Joel had anticipated, and he flung himself out of the vehicle before it was fully in park. A few of his other guys opened the door to one of the warehouses for him, and inside, Joel could see the body of someone and, standing behind it, looking a bit peeved, Kade.
He stepped around the body and hugged Kade -- the other man who’d been on the job with the recently deceased -- and he whispered in the other’s ear, “You hurt?” He could deal with the rest momentarily.
@leschanceux said --> ❝Shit, are you alive?❞
Whatever spell Fenrir had been hit with had been enough to knock him unconscious for at least a couple seconds. He began to come to as Boris spoke to him, the other wolf’s words garbled sounding to Fenrir’s ears -- as if Boris’ voice was fighting to get through a tinny wave of ringing. He blinked a few times, the spinning woods coming back into focus, Boris’ face hovering near his. Fenrir pat his chest and, with effort and pain, pushed himself up to sitting. “Yeah... ‘m alive.”
@leschanceux said --> ‘he’s got a death wish or something.’
“You think?” Wes asks, exasperated as he looks over at Sam while trying to wrangle a very upset and injured toddler. “How many times do you think we’ve got? Coming to the A&E before they call someone on us about his welfare? I swear, he’s angry he was born.”
@stygianshade said --> ❝It began as a prank and ended in murder.❞
“Don’t be so dramatic, Moony. I’m sure Snape will recover. He’s not dead, just embarrassed.” Sirius replied with his signature smirk. “It just sucks that we have a month’s worth of detentions because of it... can no one take a joke?”
@leschanceux said --> ❝I think I’m just gonna let it get infected and die.❞
“That’s no funny.” Sam says as he looks at the gnarly burn on his brother’s arm. “What the hell even happened here?” He’s already digging through the designated first aid cabinet their mother has set up, pulling out burn cream and bandages and disinfectant. “Mum’s gonna skin me alive for letting this happen to you.”
@leschanceux said --> ❝I said it ain’t a tragedy when it happens every week.❞
“How can you say that?” Arizona asks, her voice unusually small. She’s concerned with the way Indiana has been acting lately and this comment only heightens her fears. “We can’t just keep letting it happen.” The body count for the cult was getting too high, Montana was suffering wildly. “We have to do something. You can’t just be numb to it.”
