I will be honest, this one left me a little cold. But in the interest of completeness, here are some things from this episode.
1. Bear. Is. So. Cute.

2. I did enjoy the return of Elias. By far my favorite antagonist so far.
Original
3. John and shirt unbuttoning. 🔥😳
4. Harold’s level of jumpiness and worry when it sounded like anything dangerous was going on around John. I think that was more heightened than it was pre-kidnapping and showed that he is still Not Okay. And of course the whole “bad code” thing.
5.
Carter, about Riley: Don’t tell me you’re with him.
Jon, 2 inches from Riley: Ok, I won’t.
Side note: Them together is always good.

I lost my footing and fell. I landed on a jumble of whitish-yellow pus, spoiled meat and muscle. I madly strived to get up, but my attention was elsewhere.
He stood before me.
The horse head killer.
He wore mud-caked, charcoal-colored overboots. Slouchy, well worn jeans were visible beneath his bloody, waxed canvas shop apron. His shirt was a disgustingly dirty thermal crew top. Black nitrile gloves covered his unwashed hands.
He was short of breath and wheezing. He sounded like a chain-smoker with swollen airways. The mummified remains of a horse he wore as a mask. The oversized stallion head oddly emphasized his unusual, tall stature.
The head was rotted. Chunks of decomposed leather drooped from his indented muzzle. Much of the head was skeletal. His eyes were dark, grimy caverns. His ears were small, rotted funnels. Bristle-like hairs were scattered among the decay. On his head, he wore a thick, coarse mane. It was his crown, like a wreath hung on a grave to symbolize his strength.
He vacantly outstared me.
I slowly maintained an upright position. My feet could barely support my petrified structure. He was tall. I cowarded in a defensive position.
He dropped his hay cutter. The sound of solid, hulking metal clanged against the cold, firm concrete.
He was wheezing. He was wheezing and than he abruptly stopped.
It was quiet.
Other than the busily humming of the buzz flies, it was quiet.
We both stood there, noiseless and still.

❛ i don’t know the enemy yet, but i will soon, and when i do… ❜ Emma grumbled beneath her breath.
“You will come find me, and I will do what is necessary. Are we clear, Ms Tidesinger?” Eld responded briskly and grimly as he checked the rifle again with a hard eye.
So I found a dead mutant and I was like HUH and then turns out ITS A TRIGGERMAN???!!!!
