TRILLFIT 9.16.17 Run Track
For my second TRILLFIT x Unnamed Run Crew mix, I drew inspiration from all the great compilations in history- Jock Jams, Liquid Television, Bombomzee Pt.3, and of course, the Trainspotting Soundtrack. Starts off on a clear straightaway and proceeds to take several sharp left turns. Ideal for high-itensity cardio exercise in unwashed jeans. Overall, it’s a trip…

TRILLFIT / TRILLyoga Mix
Been meant to post this up on here, but better late than never, right? In the same vein as the previous post, but at a much lower heart rate: 45+ minutes that's equal parts inner peace and side piece. I tried to set the tone from the jump by matching up Enya with Jay Burna; but that's just how I like to get my mind, body and soul alligned. I invited Bryson Tiller, Michael Aristotle, FKA Twigs and a gang of others to chill with us as well. Enjoy.

RESOLUTION TIME
What a time to be alive. Looking back on the past four months, I’m in awe at all that we were able to accomplish. 2015 was an incredible start to our TRILLFIT movement. 7 Acclaimed instructors. 4 sold-out events. 3 different venues. 1 DJ. 200 Attendees. We were profiled by Boston Magazine and some of the best blogs in the city. We were accepted into Future Boston’s start-up accelerator program. And all of that happened because you believed in us and in what we’re trying to build. Thank you. I can never say that enough. As we celebrate our wins of 2015 and get started on 2016, here are some resolutions from our squad to yours.
Allison Daroie, Yoga Instructor and founder of Paridaez: Dick Van Dyke turned 90 this year. When asked his advice on staying young he responded, just "keep moving." My Resolutions: 1. To move my body everyday. 2. To drink a glass of water before every meal. 3. Work smarter rather than harder.
THE WARM-UP: CYC’S LYDIA ERMILIO
Welcome to the warm-up, a bi-monthly trillfit feature where we chop it up with our favorite fitness instructors about their teaching styles, favorite rappers, favorite cheat meals and (way) more.
CYC’s Lydia Ermilio is a spin queen, so it’s no surprise we tapped her to lead our first-ever Ratchet Ride. Lydia’s technique tightens and tones the whole body - think: racing up hills, sprinting, and more - while incorporating weighted sectors so we really (really) feel the burn. If that ain’t ridin’ dirty, nothing is.
Name: Lydia Ermilio
Astrological Sign: Cancer
Specialty: Cycling Instructor
How did you get into teaching: I took a chance! I auditioned and the rest is history.
Rap/R&B lyric that best describes you: “Let's love ourselves and we can't fail / To make a better situation / Tomorrow, our seeds will grow / All we need is dedication” - Lauryn Hill
TRILLFIT / UNNAMEDRUNCREW Mix
Despite dubious qualifications concerning my trill or fit-ness, I was entrusted with the honor to assemble the soundtrack to the #UnnamedRunCrew’s 2-mile excursion through Boston (the mean streets of Boston.) As someone who struggles to muster the sufficient motivation to place one foot in front of the other, I chose music that would encourage me to keep striving. Infrequent though it may be, when I do get my Prefontaine on, I choose the pavement over the treadmill every time. I find myself driven by the change of scenery, so with that in mind I tried to keep the pace brisk; about a song a minute. For no particular reason, it ended up being a mostly 80s/90s hip-hop affair, but we cover a lot of ground here. If navigating through Jethro Tull, E-40, Big Daddy Kane, TLC, and Folk Implosion in the span of a half-hour is your kind of exercise, you might get some mileage out of this.
