If you speak english and german already, swedish is like, cousins to both of those languages so once you get over the first hump of like "why the fuck is sked pronounced that way???" the grammar and stuff is pretty approachable

I am also learning Russian because Geno. The alphabet is pretty easy to learn, and the words are pretty phonetic. Having the separate alphabet has actually been helpful for me to remember the words because I can't get them confused with English. 

 Also Geno mumbles like crazy, even in Russian, and I can barely make it out so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I can see the logic in that re the alphabet, though not sure it would help me the same way, but I totally sympathise with feeling like you /should/ be able to understand someone if they would just STOP MUMBLING DAMNIT lol.  native speakers speaking too quickly to follow is always an issue :|

Tuesday Fic Rec #17 (Sappy Sweet)

They’re lounging on Derek’s bed one afternoon, Stiles halfheartedly trying to make headway on an essay, and Derek’s supposedly helping. Instead, Derek’s spent the last eight minutes mouthing lazily at Stiles’ shoulder, and Stiles is five seconds from giving up completely.

Amazing domestic fluff. Slight ups and downs and all the more adorable for it. Definitely feel good from start to amazing finish.

There's something about his voice that sort of slices Derek in two because it's so real and personal. He's followed his music for almost 7 months and as of last week, MovieKidd826 had 11 uploads, 68, 250 subscribers and over 2, 448, 989 views on Lenders in the Templealone. Now there are suddenly 14 videos and Derek’s irrationally pissed off that he missed them.

When Stiles left for NYU just over two years ago, Derek told himself that Stiles deserved to have a werewolf-free life, but he couldn't help looking forward to their weekly Skype chats. That kind of became his routine; talking to Stiles on Wednesday, and checking MovieKidd's channel every Monday and Thursday.

Of course they just had to go and be the same person, didn't they?

Stiles sings and Derek falls in love twice over. But Stiles is off at college at NYU so it takes awhile for Derek to catch on to that fact. It’s the cutest, sweetest story of Derek pining for Stiles.

Ok but I'm laughing at the fact that your response to "ever killed someone?" isn't "No way" it's a very pleads-the-fifth "I'd rather not go to jail"

lol, I KNOW and this time I did it completely unintentionally.  I was thinking of it as “Sure I’ve thought of it but I don’t want to go to jail so I would never” but what came out was something that implied “sure, i’ve killed a man”

It made me laugh when i realized too.

Yeah, you’re right, but Sid made the speech about waiting for Geno’s pass after the 1000th point game and that OT pass.  I guess he didn’t think it counted, so I went with the next Geno-assisted Sid goal :)
